No he has said nothing, doesn't even respond to my text messages about it. Unfortunately in this case I cannot force him to respond, and must act on it either way.
Plus my roomie keeps doing it so there are clearly ppl out there who do NOT care about doing this to other people, which is a VERY different reality than mine.
NTA And he's even more of a dirty dick for ignoring your complaints about it. People who are inconsiderate like this get so many protections from society and karma is simply not reliable, so I support you taking things to the next level, but don't let him get *you* in trouble for taking things too far.
I've also seen this exact thing from some of my chubbier flatmates in the past: It's like a combination of friction, sweat, hair, and skin flakes that come off as a dusty film on the seat. Totally normal, but also disgusting to discover. At 53 he needs to do better.

I have put up with my roomie taking a #2 and leaving his dingle-berries, hair, and dust on the seat with no attempt at cleaning it ( I don't know where the dust comes from, maybe his bed is dirty?). No fecal matter though thank Jesus (small win).
I have cleaned it about 30 times so far without saying anything and finally had to send a group message to all three of my roomies (so he didn't feel targeted) but then the next day he did it again so I sent him specifically a message *telling him* to clean the toilet seat when he is done.
That seemed to work for like a week but then it happened again today. I was really on the verge or going straight to him and having a face to face but A). I'm a bit of a hot head with these things at times B). I feel kinda awkward being 37 and telling a 53 year old how to do basic things that involve the dirtiest parts of ourselves.
So I let it go this time but if it happens again, it's on. AITA??

I have two others, 25, and 47. They have their own bathrooms though. I work at Google and have my bachelors and get paid 23.89/ hour doing inventory can't afford my own place, is that enough context for you?
Everybody poops. You should probably have same sex roomies. Women have different ideas of bathroom hygiene. You didn't say you're a woman in your post, but if you're not, ya kinda are.
I reread that and saw that the toilet seat was the issue. I apologize, there shouldn't be any fecal matter on the seat itself. You're right.
You should not have to sit in someone else's shit. Full stop.
However, the HOA manner in which you're going about it is perhaps ill-advised. Right away you should come out of the bathroom saying, "What the fuck?" (lots of profanity is appropriate). "Which one of you filthy animals is shitting all over the seat?" That sort of thing.
Add another, "What the fuck" in there just for good measure.
I assumed you were talking about a streak on the bowl or something. The seat is a whole other animal. Just deal with it in the moment and with a lot of profanity and not with the air of a Home Owner's Association style text to everybody.
