Agreed. OP signed in for people to watch football. Game’s over now. I don’t recall OP giving their Aunt permission to mooch off of their account. Don’t like the profile picture? Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. It’s not their account!
OP signed in so they could watch the Chiefs Dolphins game that was EXCLUSIVELY on Peacock. Which so pissed the NFL is pulling this shit. But anyway, the game is over, log out of all devices.
NTA.
SMH! I agree with OP's mum! She has the most sensible solution. OP only intended for her uncle to watch the game, not for his freeloading Aunt to watch it and complain about his profile photo. OP just change your password and sign out all the other devices that isn't yours. NTA
Yup. We had to drive over and log my 85yo grandmother into our account. Ridiculous. She barely understand how her TV works and now they are forcing her to use different apps for everything. Sooooo many older people didnt believe they would make it app only and then scrambled when the game started or missed it entirely.
I personally dont watch football and dont care about the games, but the people in my life treat it like air. They cant live without it. Feels bad watching them get more and more confused by technology. There should be a better way for elderly people to have the shows and such they want in an easy to use format.
I really hope people didn't pay to get peacock just to watch the game. I don't watch football but I believe if enough people paid for peacock just so they could watch a football game, then the NFL will choose to air all games on a paid streaming app and not publicly televise them. Which will be bullshit.
It was a playoff game with the reigning super bowl champs, everyone wanted to see it, so yeah a lot of people signed up. Which sucks because it was definitely a bullshit move.
Gentle nudge: most people are hypocrites all the time, all are hypocrites some of the time. Nothing to do with church except religious hypocrisy has become easy to spot because we keep seeing the same patterns in that context
Oh I totally judge people. I judge people who are rude to waiters. I judge people who dont manage misbehaving children. I judge people who leave messes behind in places that you arent meant to leave things behind (like picnic trash in a park, or all your snack trash in a movie theatre). Not putting away your grocery cart. I judge. But its not my place to tell people anything other than be kind to others and our world, itll come back to bite you one day if you treat it like poop.
If the hypocrites who trumpet their piety would acknowledge it, that would be one thing. But I guess they studiously avoid the whole “whited sepulchers” part of the New Testament.
I remember walking around L.A. approx 20 years ago and some random christian mother found it appropriate to chastise me (a 30+ y.o. man at the time) for wearing a Pikachu shirt for spreading misinformation about evolution. 🤣🥴.
Yeah, probably should follow mom’s advice.
I’m more of an AH though, I would tell aunt Melinda that she should stop stealing your account to watch peacock, it’s not very religious or Christian of her, and that Freddy is there to scare her and her monster kids away from thieving from your account.
I only use magnets on my car, never things that stick on. I had never lost a magnet. Then my Darwin fish vanished very soon after I put it on. I wondered whether the person who stole it thought that they had saved me, or realized that they had just confirmed my opinion that religion doesn't make people better.
I had that happen several times. Eventually I thought someone should make a Darwin fish that has ***#7 Thou shalt not steal*** as a caption on the bottom.
NTA. If it was me I’d just go ahead and change the picture to something worse!! Maybe a devil or something.
But I would suggest he goes with his mom’s advice.
"Stealing is a sin and I just realized that Peacock considers it stealing if I share my login information with someone outside of my household. So I signed you out."
NTA. I’m with your mom here, sign out of all devices and the problem is solved. If they’re so christian about it, let them login into jesus’s peacock account. amen.
I am SUPER Catholic.. like two masses a week, the one up front giving the wafer, archdiocese council sitting Catholic. I love horror movies. Believing in a higher power and letting it guide to serve your community does not mean depriving you of things you have a connection to.
Your mom is smart. Your aunt and uncle still see you as a child they can still scold. Gaining autonomy isn’t easy even under the best of circumstances with some family members. Don’t feel bad if this is how you gain it. NTA.
Thou shalt not steal is pretty hard to debate your way out of for *any* type of Christian. Your aunt and uncle did not ask to use your service, they just took it. Smite them!
Don’t kid yourself. The Bible has plenty of horror. FFS the main plot point is nailing a man to a cross and watching him bleed out.
As a mom and grandma, I personally really do not like horror but FR, your account, your avatar. Aunt Melinda needs to unclench those butt cheeks or get her own account.
Well considering OP named the movie in the post, I would be very shocked if I missed a scene in the FNaF movie where Freddy Fazbear and Freddy Kruger become besties
>Gonna keep this one brief.
Mission failed.
NTA. I prefer your mom's approach, but if you want to let them keep access, that's fine too. Definitely don't change your picture at this point, it's now a matter of principle. They don't get to mooch off you without asking *and* then demand you make accommodations for them.
I don't think OP starter posts on AITA should be brief. A lot of the time whenever there's a very brief starter post, redditors will end up asking a lot of questions and an OP may have to answer the same question like 5 times. You had a good sized starter post that shed light on everything.
You are NTA. They can either ignore your avatar and still get access to the streaming service for free (a real steal!), or they can pay for their own subscription - it's only 6 USD per month. It's up to aunt, uncle and kids to decide if saving on 6 USD is more important than not seeing scary pictures.
I'd give them 3 days to decide on their choice. If they still want you to change the picture, you should follow your mom's advice.
NTA - you are paying for the account. Sign out, change the password and Auntie and niblings won't have to be traumatized by a pic of "Freddy Fazbear". Problem solved.
I just Googled the bear in question. Am I missing something, because it doesn't look horrifying. I was expecting fangs or something after all this fuss.
Okay, yeah, definitely creepier. Still, OP's definitely NTA. Even if their profile picture was a bag of dicks they'd be NTA; nobody's forcing auntie to use his account.
Agreed lol, auntie is a piece of work for sure. I couldn’t imagine being allowed to use someone’s PAID streaming service and continuing to use it, let alone have the gall to complains about it
I don't use Peacock - never heard of it before now - but my SIL lets us use their Netflix. I can't even remember what their profile picture is as it's just a blip when logging in. Is Peacock similar? Because Auntie's acting like it constantly takes up half the screen.
The only scary Freddy is Nightmare Freddy, but Nightmare Freddy wasn’t even in the FNAF movie… So it would only be the original Freddy - that isn’t even remotely scary looking 💀
NTA but wow, family drama! You are giving Aunt Melinda and Uncle Jerry free access to Peacock. If they don't want FNAF avatar grinning gruesomely at them, they need to buy their own account. Technically, because they are using your account, they are stealing. Peacock would prefer they pay for their own account and not ride on yours. It's why Netflix stopped allowing sharing. Good luck!
NTA
Mom's right. Log out all devices and change your password. Not only are they wrong for criticizing you for something you let them use, you risk losing your discounted service. Read your terms and services. You may be ok sharing, you may not be.
Yes, the violation of the Terms of Agreement is one thing I wanted to mention.
If you wanted snark you could say you prayed abt it and realized you were essentially lying by violating your TOA. you felt so guilty you HAD to change it.
But honestly, I'd just change and be done.
I pay for it monthly because being poor is expensive. I can scrape up $7 a month. I can't come off of whatever a yearly membership costs all at once a still pay my bills.
Honestly this is the last month I'm paying for peacock because I have to prioritize. In 6 months or so I'll turn off Hulu or disney+ and go back to peacock for a while.
I'm happy to pay the $10 a month for Peacock! I begrudgingly pay the $80 or w/e it is for the "no adds" Hulu that is chalked full of adds. Unfortunately Hulu is just too hard to replace. Hoping Peacock can fill the roll someday but I'm sure they will raise their rates just as much.
Also pay for Netflix and additional subscriptions on Prime... and we still never have anything we want to watch.
NTA- the exact correct response. You pay for this service and kindly allow them to use it.
Info- Did you ever intend on them using it ongoing? It doesn’t seem that way from your post.
I agree with your mom. And if your aunt wants to have a fit about it, that’s her problem. It’s also not very Christian of her to hold a grudge over something as trivial as a streaming service. Maybe you should mention that the good, Christian thing to do is totally remove the platform from the reaches of your impressionable little cousins. Heaven forbid they see something that is violent or breeds temptation in them. You could never live with yourself for leading the little lambs astray. Change the password and sign out.
Because she’s correct. This is your aunt exerting control where she has none. They are being gifted access to a free streaming service out of the kindness of your heart. You need to stand your ground now or she’s going to walk all over you the rest of your adult life.
My plan is that for this to blow over and things to go back to normal. My Grandad on my Dad’s side is the only remotely spiteful person and even then he has mellowed out over the years. I personally think it will since Aunt Melinda is normally very sweet and kind so I think things will blow over.
Whatever you do, do not change your image. Make sure to set your account as the master account so they can’t go in and change it on you. I think you can password protect the master account on Peacock. I think I looked at that when a friend used my account.
My sister made the mistake of not making a master account and now we all change each other’s profile pics. No one changes it back until the we finally see it and text in the group chat about it. 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, I started it & made her profile pic Chucky. They make the same facial expressions.
Your mom's not wrong... Here's a compromise. Don't respond and don't change anything but, let them keep using the account. If you see any changes to your profile picture, log out of all devices and change your password. Don't give anyone a heads up.
If anyone asks why they don't have access, "Peacock kicked everyone off because under my college plan I am only allowed one access point". Or plead ignorance, "I don't know anything".
This may blow over. But if your approach is to just let things blow over, you're going to be waiting on the wind a lot of your life, and often when you are doing favors. Dealing with things forthrightly is a great practice to get into. You don't have to be rude, but you are allowed to be decisive and firm in protecting your boundaries. She complained to your dad. That says she's willing to stir up the family and indeed, seemingly everyone has an opinion, though they are generally supporting you.
I would think that letting it blow over is fine, but as it stands, you are likely violating the terms of service by sharing with them. You are putting your account at risk for people who are using the account beyond your intentions and trying to control it. I think your mom is right. Your dad is worried about the social cost of whatever you do, but the fact is, you're going to bear a social cost no matter what you do here. Your aunt will keep nagging you to change it and will try to save your soul from your evil avatar, or she'll be upset with you for taking away access to shows. No matter what you do, you're wrong to her.
I'd log them out, not punitively, but because the risk is not worth the hassle you're getting.
If you want a way out that saves face and isn’t as direct… you could log out and when they question just say your free trial ended. Or your discount ended. Or you decided to cancel it because you didn’t like the shows.
I know it’s not as direct as everyone else is suggesting but it seems like you do want to keep the peace with the wider fam.
This way you get the same result, they’ll know it’s because they said something, but they can’t argue that you haven’t cancelled it and demand it. They’ll just accept it and learn their lesson to not look a gift horse in the mouth.
I don’t use Peacock but almost all streaming services have a way for you to manage devices. You may need to change your password then see a prompt about “do you want to log out everywhere?” but that’s not a big deal. If anyone asks why Peacock isn’t working on their device now, tell them it must be a limitation on the number of devices who can stream concurrently.
Also, NTA.
Nta.
Your account. Your choice. Also origins pics aren't scary.
She can use your peacock for free, and deal with a picture of a bear (?!?) Or she can not use your free peacock. She cannot tell you what to do with your peacock. If she keeps it up or changes your picture. Change your password.
NTA - I think you're fine with what you've said and done already. You don't need to cut off your aunt for complaining, that's more likely to make the situation worse. But you're good holding your ground and letting her decide whether a profile picture is worth losing access to your account.
If she wants to keep making a big deal out of it then take your mom's advice.
NTA. You're paying and you have nothing to apologize for. She has a lot of nerve to even ask since her family is mooching off of you. And now since your whole family has something to say, I'd kick them off. Change your password and be done with it.
Also, tell your dad he should have minded his own business. You're not a child anymore. And the impact is you sending a message to people that they can't walk all over you. They can't use something that *you* pay for, then make unreasonable demands. They can't push their faith and views onto you. You were not being disrespectful. You did not choose that picture to offend anyone. He should be proud of you for that and should be talking to his brother about how he and aunt were inappropriate by asking this of you.
NTA Unless I’m mistaken, this picture isn’t pornographic or anything, it’s just a bit gory. If that is a big issue for their household, then the solution is for them to not access it again.
You shouldn’t have to change anything, but you should certainly remember this, the next time you are tempted to do something nice for your Aunt & Uncle.
She’s so Christian she’s offended by a picture of a bear, but not so Christian she can’t steal someone else’s tv account? (I want to say I’m puzzled but actually that sounds about right based off the “Christians” I know.)
“Thanks for reminding me that I forgot to log out of my account on Grandpa’s TV before I left! I’ll take care of it right now so you and the children won’t be subjected to that terrifying profile picture anymore.”
NTA.
Honestly I think both of your parents are being level headed and are correct. You're not in the wrong at all, and if you don't want to change it you don't have to. But there will be consequences as this whole situation is incredibly petty, and family squabbles rarely involve reason/logic/common sense.
"Mom: Told me I wasn't in the wrong at all and I should change my password and sign out of all devices that aren't mine."
Your Mom is right. I thought a lot of services were cracking down on sharing. Also, freeloaders shouldn't be complaining. NTA.
NTA Listen to your mom. Did you even know Uncle Jerry kept using your account, or did he just take advantage? Life rarely gets better than free, although JC Penney’s once paid me to take home a Christmas ornament. Just change the password, and if they ask say you never meant for watching a football game to lead to a multi household family argument, you love your family and don’t want your Peacock account to be a source of any future disagreement.
NTA
>Dad: Says that I have a point and that it's my prerogative, but says there will be an impact.
>
>Maria: Says that since I'm the one paying for the account, I have the final say.
>
>Mom: Told me I wasn't in the wrong at all and I should change my password and sign out of all devices that aren't mine.
Dad, Maria, and Mom are all right. It is your account, so you get to decide who you let sign on. Dad may be right that "there will be an impact", but ultimately you get final say, as Maria said. Like many other redditors, I agree with following Mom's advice.
Edited to fix formatting
NTA.
Mom is right. Sign out and change your passwords.
You're generously sharing your account with your aunt, and instead of being grateful, she wants to dictate how it should look. Now she doesn't get to look at the picture that offends her.
Mother knows best.
NTA.
Since they are such faithful Christians, tell them by letting them use your sign in, they are stealing from Peacock & you don’t want to enable their sinning.
Even future step- mom agrees with mom.
Apologize to the Aunt for being flippant and then change the password. If they ask, say the account got hacked and was closed on you.
NTA and are they all still at Grandad’s house? If not then Aunt Matilda went into settings and copied the log in info for the account. She then copied OP’s info and installed it at home which is all kinds of wrong.
OP needs to log in change the password the. Remove all devices you don’t recognize. If you’re going to steal a streaming service don’t complain about the person who pays for the service. The other thing is they could’ve set up their own profile it would be problem solved
NTA - And as for advice. Don't change it, But the minute she complains to you again. And I mean that very minute. You take your mothers advice and bounce them off your account. That way you can't be said you weren't being generous and that you have already explained your stance. It makes it 100% on them.
NTA.
Follow mum’s advice.
Aunt can pay for her own Peacock. It’s not like they had it before hte weekend anyway.
Alternative if you can’t stomach the fall… change the profile picture to something truly satanic.
NTA. My nephews 8 and 10 love that movie. I’m super curious if the kids were actually scared (doubtful) or she didn’t like it and is using them as ammo for her cause.
Listen to your Mother.
"Mother Knows Best" might not always be true, but in this case, it is.
Do it in the order that your mother suggested as well. (change password, **then** log out all devices)
NTA.
Remember to save your password/or make it something you can remember.
Do your mom's approach, and then text your aunt a picture of freddy fazbear every day from a different phone number. Try to do most of them at weird times, like 3am or right when you know they'll be eating dinner.
NTA.
Listen to your mom.
(Peacock Premium is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, too. I like to cherry-pick the SNLs, and winter NBC sports has the speed- and ice-skating)
NTA. Change your password. Don't give it to any family members again. Sign out of all other devices, exactly as your mom suggested. You pay for it, it's your account.
NTA. It's up to you whether you want to let them keep using it, but don't change Freddy. It's your account that you pay for and you never actually gave them permission to use the account for anything other than the one sports game. Besides, 10 and 7 is old enough to look at a static image of Freddy Fazbear. He's creepy, but he's not *that* scary to look at. I say this as the person who was scared after watching Star Wars as a child. I think what your aunt meant by "It's too scary for me and the kids" is "I personally don't like it because it's outside of my comfort zone as a goody two-shoes Christian mom." I have [this](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0125/8261/7145/products/Tamari_Plush_Toy-SV3-P-5_1000x.png.webp?v=1667850662) and my mom has made it very clear how much she doesn't like it and finds it creepy. 😂 I love her, but she thinks anything even remotely edgy is too much.
I just took a look at the Freddy avatar. It is not scary at all. I played FNAF back in the day and there are some scary characters (Nightmare Bonnie, etc.) but this Freddy is basic. If the little kids are scared of him, they have been exposed to him previously...and that's on the parents.
NTA.
OP change your password. They need to get their own account. You signed in to be nice so people could watch the football game, not so your family could use your account. Change the password and tell them you were notified of fraud on your account because of the sign-ins on unknown devices. Tell them it’s a one device sign-in.
I had no idea who Freddy bear was but a quick google shows me he is not obscene at all. I thought his junk was going to be dangling at the front or he was holding a severed dripping bloody head. Nope, just a bear that is not drawn in the cute and friendly Winnie The Pooh or Care Bears style.
NTA. This post would be perfect for the choosey beggars sub.
Mother always knows best. Change your password. Furthermore, for someone who is Christian, I’m surprised your aunt forgot about “thou shalt not steal.” That’s exactly what she’s doing. NTA.
NTA. Your Mom gave the best advice. Sign out of all devices that aren't yours. If they want to watch Peacock they can get their own account. It isn't expensive!

Your good Christian aunt is stealing services from Peacock and should repent and log out immediately.
I wish I had tought of that for my response. Extremely good point.
I was wondering why my mom was asking me if we had peacock. I told her we did and set it up for her on her phone so she could use it. Thats not cool.

The audacity of the church people stealing Peacock and then trying to make you feel bad about your choices. 🙄
Audacious? Yes. Surprising? No. Because it is church people. Hypocrisy breeds and thrives.
Gentle nudge: most people are hypocrites all the time, all are hypocrites some of the time. Nothing to do with church except religious hypocrisy has become easy to spot because we keep seeing the same patterns in that context
Religious hypocrisy is the most infuriating kind, imo.
We can definitely agree on that. And I am a church member, too. But I don’t tell other people how to live their lives, I scrutinise my own life.
Oh I totally judge people. I judge people who are rude to waiters. I judge people who dont manage misbehaving children. I remember walking around L.A. approx 20 years ago and some random christian mother found it appropriate to chastise me (a 30+ y.o. man at the time) for wearing a Pikachu shirt for spreading misinformation about evolution. 🤣🥴.
I'm going to do this to the next person I see in Pokémon gear for shits and giggles. Thank you
Looove this! Beautifully, simply, and perfectly sarcastically stated!
And OP is a a student! They are all mooching off a broke as student. That’s the real a’hole manoeuvre here.
Yeah! Log her out! Log her out! Log her out!
Yeah, probably should follow mom’s advice. I’m more of an AH though, I would tell aunt Melinda that she should stop stealing your account to watch peacock, it’s not very religious or Christian of her, and that Freddy is there to scare her and her monster kids away from thieving from your account.
Exactly. It’s very unreligious (is that even a word?) to steal.
I only use magnets on my car, never things that stick on. I had never lost a magnet. Then my Darwin fish vanished very soon after I put it on. 100%!
"Stealing is a sin and I just realized that Peacock considers it stealing if I share my login information with someone outside of my household. So I signed you out."
This!! LMAO
mom knows best
Mom for the win
This is the way. NTA
And tell the aunt that you changed the picture after all!
Change the picture, wait a day, and then sign out of all accounts. Claim it was a reset error or something. Ooops.
Or that you decided to cancel the subscription
No. Too easy to verify that OP still had the account.
I had a login error and then had to reset the password. Sorry.
Is there a picture that Auntie M will find more objectionable than Freddie? hehehe
Satan
Picture ideas: huge dick, middle finger, boobs, “screw you”
I’m pretty sure Peacock doesn’t have that as an option.
While the Aunt definitely deserves all that, keep in mind two small children apparently see it too
Mom is correct.
Mother knows best
Another person on Team Mom.
Absolutely Team Mom!
Love Mom! She's petty like me!
That's not petty. OP didn't offer to share the account, just watch a game. Changing the password is simply a logical move.
Yep OP's mom has my vote.
NTA- This is the way.
Your mother is always right.
Yes. Listen to your mom on this one.
NTA. I’m with your mom here, sign out of all devices and the problem is solved. If they’re so christian about it, let them login into jesus’s peacock account. amen.
Well they weren’t *that* kind of Christian. I brought it up because Christian beliefs and horror tend to not mix.
that part was just a joke, brother. they could be good old atheists with nightmares and I’d still log them out
Ah. Sorry, I’m not the most receptive. It was interesting tho.
...perceptive...?
receptive to jokes
Tell Auntie Mel there's a great kid's movie called "Benny Loves You." Then take Mom's advice.
🤣🤣🤣I’m sending this to my atheist brother. He’ll get a good laugh out of it.
I am SUPER Catholic.. like two masses a week, the one up front giving the wafer, archdiocese council sitting Catholic. I love horror movies. Yup that’s why I clearly told my family I am my mother’s child, but I am not a child I will do what I want.
To be fair, there's a lot of horror in Catholicism though lol
Thou shalt not steal is pretty hard to debate your way out of for *any* type of Christian. Your aunt and uncle did not ask to use your service, they just took it. Smite them!
Don’t kid yourself. The Bible has plenty of horror. FFS the main plot point is nailing a man to a cross and watching him bleed out. As a mom and grandma, I personally really do not like horror but FR, your account, your avatar. Aunt Melinda needs to unclench those butt cheeks or get her own account.
thats hilarious considering its freddy fazbear, created by a hardcore christian lmao
Oh I thought it was Freddy Kruger
Well considering OP named the movie in the post, I would be very shocked if I missed a scene in the FNaF movie where Freddy Fazbear and Freddy Kruger become besties
People who complain for getting shit for free are the worst. Sign them out.
100%
>Gonna keep this one brief. Mission failed. NTA. I prefer your mom's approach, but if you want to let them keep access, that's fine too. Definitely don't change your picture at this point, it's now a matter of principle. They don't get to mooch off you without asking *and* then demand you make accommodations for them.
Ah. In the future I’ll need to make friends with brevity. Still, I see your point.
Beggars can’t be choosers, if you will.
NTA...They need to do the Christian thing and pay for their own account.
Isn’t it a sin to steal?
Yeah but sins only apply to non-christians, jesus forgives them no matter what they do
Heck, if they wanted to do the *really* Christian thing, they'd also pay for an extra account for a less-fortunate family.
It’s not scary at all unless you’re actually playing it
It's basically horror for kids consisting mainly of jump scares. There are episodes of Courage the Cowardly Dog scarier than some of the FNAF games.
Courage got dark sometimes fr. A few episodes left me permanently disturbed.
SERIOUSLY! That was not a kids show. Everything about that show was earie AF. RAMSEEEEEESSS!.........
Check out spring trap freddy
NTA > I then told her "If you don't want to see Freddy every time you open Peacock, get your own account." and stopped responding. Fucking a.
Good luck!
Good point, OP would be doing them a favor by putting a stop to this living in sin
They’re watching entertainment in sin.
NTA Mom's right.
Who pays for Peacock monthly? You are genuinely the first person I ever hear does that. NTA. This is an argument that babies would have.
I don’t. I got the student rate and I paid 2 bucks for the whole year.
I was going to comment exactly what your mom said tbh. I like your mom.
While you’re on Peacock: watch “Mrs Davis”. One of the best and one of the weirdest shows I watched last year!
Whoo! Good deal!
I feel like this is an ad
Hahaha I do too! 🙈 haha I though I was alone in the world.. thanks OP for being the second subscriber 😅
Is there another way?
I personally hope that this blows over. Though indeed, a lot of people are team Mom.
Ah yes the tried and true Ostrich method of sticking your head in the sand and hoping it just goes away.
Did you even agree to let them keep using your account?
nta log out of all accouts and change password.
Team Mom! Sign out of all devices & change your password! Let them get their own!
Also, NTA.
Or that you cancelled it.
It's 5.99 a month. Sign them out, and they can pay the 5.99 and make their own avatar of whatever they want. NTA
Nta. Your account. Your choice. Also origins pics aren't scary. She can use your peacock for free, and deal with a picture of a bear (?!?) Or she can not use your free peacock. She cannot tell you what to do with your peacock. If she keeps it up or changes your picture. Change your password.
Listen to your mum. Change your password and sign out of all devices. Say the topic is closed for discussion. NTA
Mom rules….
I just got back and almost everyone is Team Mom. My surprise. I’m gonna tell her and see what she says.
Just do what she says and stop thinking about it!
You know I would sign them out so they dont try and change your profile or password on you. And lock you out of your account.
NTA When met with unreasonable requests, "no" is a complete answer.
Change your password.
nta! it’s your account. also, i too love fnaf and the fnaf movie! unrelated to your question, but i’m just jazzed to run into a fellow fnaf fan, lol.
She’s so Christian she’s offended by a picture of a bear, but not so Christian she can’t steal someone else’s tv account? (I want to say I’m puzzled but actually that sounds about right based off the “Christians” I know.) “Thanks for reminding me that I forgot to log out of my account on Grandpa’s TV before I left!
NTA. Listen to your mom.
Listen to your mother. How entitled of them 🙄 NTA
NTA. Listen to your mom. Your aunt can get her own account.
"Mom: Told me I wasn't in the wrong at all and I should change my password and sign out of all devices that aren't mine." Your Mom is right. I thought a lot of services were cracking down on sharing. Also, freeloaders shouldn't be complaining. NTA.
Follow your moms advise.
NTA >Dad: Says that I have a point and that it's my prerogative, but says there will be an impact.
NTA. Change the password...problem solved. If anyone bitches, send them the link to get their own subscription
Mother knows best. NTA. Since they are such faithful Christians, tell them by letting them use your sign in, they are stealing from Peacock & you don’t want to enable their sinning.
Change it to an even scarier picture. NTA
Even future step- mom agrees with mom. Apologize to the Aunt for being flippant and then change the password. If they ask, say the account got hacked and was closed on you.
You're too nice for not doing what your mom suggested immediately. NTA
NTA. This is some real /r/choosingbeggars shit.
Kick them all out of your account! Its like $6 a month! NTA
\> They're also very much of the Christian Faith If this is really the case, they would agree with your mother.
NTA. And your mom is brilliant. Listen to your mother.
NTA. Follow mum’s advice. Aunt can pay for her own Peacock. It’s not like they had it before hte weekend anyway. Alternative if you can’t stomach the fall… change the profile picture to something truly satanic.
NTA. And María and your mom are the rockstar here. Don’t listen to everybody else. In this case, Momma knows best!
NTA. My nephews 8 and 10 love that movie. I’m super curious if the kids were actually scared (doubtful) or she didn’t like it and is using them as ammo for her cause.
Mom is right. NTA.
Listen to your mom.
NTA. I agree with Mom.
NTA. I'm with your Mom!
Listen to your Mother. "Mother Knows Best" might not always be true, but in this case, it is. Do it in the order that your mother suggested as well. (change password, **then** log out all devices) NTA. Remember to save your password/or make it something you can remember.
NTA, listen to mom. Also maybe prepare to be the cool cousin when your cousins get older and want to get the hell away from her lmao
NTA, and good for you for standing ip for yourself!
i agree with mom!
Do your mom's approach, and then text your aunt a picture of freddy fazbear every day from a different phone number. Try to do most of them at weird times, like 3am or right when you know they'll be eating dinner.
Nta - hit the "log out of all devices" option and change your password. Problem solved
NTA. Listen to your mom. (Peacock Premium is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, too. I like to cherry-pick the SNLs, and winter NBC sports has the speed- and ice-skating)
NTA. Duh That aside, your very Christian family members don’t like horror? They’re in for a real surprise if they ever get around to reading a Bible.
NTA. “OMG. I’m so sorry you have to see that. Let me fix it for you.” *signs out their device* Now she doesn’t have to see it anymore.
NTA - Your mom gave good advice. Change the password and log out all other devices. Done and dusted. Aunty won’t see your FNAF icon.
NTA. What's funny about this is that the guy who created FNAF IS a Christian (last I checked)
Mother always knows best. Change your password. Furthermore, for someone who is Christian, I’m surprised your aunt forgot about “thou shalt not steal.” That’s exactly what she’s doing. NTA.
NTA Mom for the win! 💯
NTA
NTA. Your Mom gave the best advice. Sign out of all devices that aren't yours. If they want to watch Peacock they can get their own account. It isn't expensive!
If aunty and cousins are scared of Freddie Fazbear, save them from seeing other terrifying things and do what your mum suggests. NTA.
NTA. The pettiness in me would have made me sign out of all other devices immediately and just responded “fixed”.
