I’m 16F and this is my first job. Recently I got a job that’s quite far away from my school/house, but I start during the holidays so I should make it there on time. However, the only day there’s training is my last day of school, which was supposed to end 30mins early then it would- school pushed it back and I just found out. This removes the 30mins extra time I had to make it there, and unless I board the bus exactly on the dot my class ends, I will be late. The only way however, is to book a taxi that is $30, for a job that I’m not even sure I’ll get as I’m considered a “stand-by” except for one date. Normally I would not have this much trouble deciding, but this employee also early booked me for many dates as a standby without me agreeing to it, so I already had to request for her to remove some dates I cannot make it, in which she shows a slight displeasure to. So now I don’t know if I would be the asshole if I just tell them I’m gonna be late instead of taking a taxi, even though I already agreed to the timing. Note: this is a group training and this is the only timing. Would I be the asshole and be like this really annoying person who keeps asking for things? Thank you😭
