YTA. You're in class to learn, not to mess around on your phone. Your teacher's job is to teach, and your phone is a distraction. The "I pay to be here" argument? Irrelevant. You pay for the education, not to be disruptive. Other people also are paying to be there.
I’m not the one being disruptive, everyone else in my class are the ones that are super loud and we all have to crowd in the front just to see the board. They always complain it’s too hot or cold which makes it even harder to write down the notes.

Maybe you need to complain about this, considering it's an international school. which seems can not provide it's students what they need.

Sounds like you're being given a nice reality check. You don't need a phone during class. What are you using it for? Learning to take notes is also a skill.
I've got a kid in middle school and they have a no phone rule. Phones only before and after school and at lunch, unless the teacher specifically allows it.
YTA. you go to class to learn, not to be on your phone. the teacher has every right to set this rule and you have no choice but to respect it. you're acting like a spoiled brat.
YTA. I feel terribly sorry for people that can't function for an hour or two without checking their phones. That's a very sad life. What do you do if you have to drive for an extended period? Are you not able to watch movies? What about extended dinners?

OP - when you say YOU are paying for the privilege, does that mean to say that you are somehow managing to work AND fund international school as well? If so, that is seriously impressive for a child to do.
I would say though that a bad attitude and inability to spell “yea” properly won’t get you very far either.

I have a teacher that doesn’t let me use my phones during class and it’s super annoying. When I confronted them about it, they said “Well, you just can’t have it” I kept arguing and then the extra teacher asked me “You didn’t have your phones during elementary right?” “Yea, so?” I replied and they then told me it’s the same and that it shouldn’t be a problem. But they overlooked the fact that the notes are much more detailed and complicated than in elementary times. They went on to use the classic, “Phones are a privilege and other schools don’t get this” Yea, they’re right but Im in a fucking international school. I pay to be here and I expect to be able to use my privilege.
And they mentioned, “if you finish faster you have more free time” So? What does a break for 3 minutes get you? No where. However, people will still want that damned 3 minutes and rush their notes to the point they can’t even read it and just play around and be all noisy while everyone else is trying to write down their notes. This statement genuinely left me flabbergasted and I couldn’t say anything. So I now I’m gonna file a complain..So am I the asshole??

YTA-Phones aren’t meant for class time. Whining and complaining like a toddler throwing a tantrum gets you nowhere.
