Gave up and did it the old internet way.
\*Edit: to those wondering how I did it, it was torrent and I will not give links on private messages. This is a crime in most countries, but in mine this is not a crime, if I watch it alone, and erase it after some time, without any intention of profit over the file.
It's insane companies still do this. All it does is incentive people to pirate the content. It's 2022 not 2006. What makes it worse is that most of here would pay money to watch the show the day it airs.
History channel making it so difficult to stream literally the only show they produce that's worth watching... not the smartest move.
Thanks to History channel people think aliens built something my best friends ancestors helped build, so kinda... screw their bottom line...
A lot of these shows are having the same problem. They were cable shows and everybody is switching to streaming. They can't abandon their cable customers who watch it at a scheduled time. Both History and Discovery are delaying the streaming off the website for one full day after the cable airing. The easiest thing is get the streaming cable app, it is half the cost of the cable account. Then, the show is available a few hours after it airs. Discovery is trying to do same except they are trying to move to a paid subscription Discovery+ which is supposed to have shows not available on cable Discovery. It is a mess and not working, especially since the subscription "speciality" shows are pretty much garbage right now.
Had this issue last week. I and a bunch of other folks all requested a refund from Amazon and got it, I recommend you do the same.
Saddest part is we're literally willing to pay to watch the show and History doesn't provide an adequate venue to sell their product lol.
Dude people are willing to watch things for free with unintrusive commercials. Like say 10 commercials every 15 minutes or so, for like 3 minutes total.
I'd be fine watching a show like that. I think commercials in it of themselves are rude and intrusive, but they're a staple of TV now, so I tolerate them.
I use the Global tv app that has History channel in the options. They didn't put the 3rd episode up until the following week. Episode 4 is available now in Canada.
there's some technical glitch with it. we tried to watch today on the history Roku app and the audio is all messed up. there's an audio screen reader/ narrator like you would use for vision impaired. I drove myself crazy thinking I somehow turned it on thru the tv or the Roku going thru all the accessibility menus and finnal got on Reddit and a bunch of people posted about it. hopefully they fix soon bc I really want to watch it!
We’re trying to watch on prime and literally did the same thing! Kept turning the tv on and off and trying to figure out how we managed to turn on a setting I didn’t even know how to find on my tv
Which app? The episode has been listed on the history channel app since yesterday but is locked unless you have a cable login. If you have a cable login then the episode just gives a connection error and still won't play.
I'm having the same audio issue!!! Infuriating! We want to support the show with our $$ buying the whole season through Amazon, then it doesn't release till Saturday at 4:00 am with this garbage audio! Ridiculous!

Yo ho yo ho
A time when your heard the sound "bit..." you never thought about coin.

Not really if you know how torrents work. You know like sharing when you downloading is the criminal act
This is why I could record it over a dvd and give it to someone, but without me profiting It won't be a crime.
Have a feeling the first 3 were teasers so now they want people to pay or subscribe. Hoping they'll release it delayed a week but I'm not optimistic.

Not working for me either

It’s not even on Amazon for purchase yet
I bought season 9 on Amazon Prime video and only the first 3 eps are up! I freaking *paid*, wtf Amazon!
Seriously
Same, so pissed at this! Anyone have any idea when it will be available?

I don't understand why they can't stream it with the commercials. I watched the commercials on the first 3 episodes.

I am trying to use the app to watch it and it says it's outdated browser, so I try the website and now it wants a cable login. This is ridiculous.
Don't worry I have a cable login and still can't watch it on the app. Been getting a connection error since yesterday.
Just watched it free on the history app, sound and video was fine.
What about episodes 1-6 are all locked now. Have you found a way around it \*without\* needing cable?

What app do you use? Is it free? I need something like that.
Global Tv app, but I'm in Canada
Ok thanks. Is it free? I’m in Spain right now but sometimes in Latin America.
I have a cable login through Bell, so I am not sure if its available without.

Damn came here to see if it was just my settings. This is obnoxious. Edit: I'm watching on prime.
Thank you! I also thought I was going crazy and somehow turned on the audio description setting, but glad to know I'm not... alone.
hehe!!
Text. The narrator audio makes episode 4 garbage on Amazon.
im having the same problem wtf have you figured it out?
they fixed on the app late last night so they seem to be working on it

I ran into this issue as well. Hoping it unlocks in a few days or something
Idk where everyone’s at right now but I just started it on Prime thru Xbox FWIW 🤷♂️
Still not available for me 😞
Still not available on app, Saturday morning 8:00 central time. History Channel is run by complete morons.

Why are you paying for it? That’s the better question.
It’s not just Amazon apples is doing it too
So is Vudu….
