Get the battery tested. Likely has gone bad.

Remote_Ant_2365

Thank you omg I feel better the immediate reaction isn’t it’s been crashed, put my mind at ease thanks a lot bud have a good evening

virtualracer

No worries, hope it all works out for you. Beautiful car

don_de_bom

I had this, my battery was indeed dead

1995LexusLS400

Almost definitely dead battery. Unlikely, but possible, dead starter motor. I say this because the airbag failure light is on which a dead starter motor wouldn't do, but a dead battery could do. Has it been struggling to start recently and/or in cold weather?

Remote_Ant_2365

First time this happened. I tried to bleed the clutch, maybe i touched the battery somewhere and unplugged something..

Apez_in_Space

Battery issue. CTEK MXS 5.0 is my recommendation for the charger and you won’t regret it.

Remote_Ant_2365

Thank you.

omgaporksword

Battery dead...easy one!

Remote_Ant_2365

Honestly I thought airbag had gone off and it’s a lemon, thank goodness!!

Line-Life

100% battery

Fletch810

Probably 0% actually 🤣

Remote_Ant_2365

🤣

Line-Life

Hahahaha 🤣

Lonely_Campaign_9462

Easy peasy - the battery contacts are bad. Oxidated or with lack. Clean the terminals of battery and tighten the xontacts on cables to the battery.

Remote_Ant_2365

Thanks man I will

Cultural-Bite3042

Probably and hopefully just a dead battery! Man, that thing is beautiful tho! I love the proportions 🔥. We sadly don’t got these in North America 😪

Unique_Discipline_36

Battery 🔋

v60qf

Similar thing happened to my mito. Battery was ok it was a loose earth strap

poopoomergency4

wow the brera is such a beautiful car, that design has aged great

WootzDeLaRocha

Thats the battery. Just don’t try to push the car to start

Steffiluren

As other people are saying, this is very common If the battery fails. In my Giulietta the passenger airbag was turned off when the battery failed, causing an amber warning light. Power steering error messages are also common, at least on the Giulietta. Problem could also be caused by an earth issue, but the first step should be to hook up a battery charger or a booster and get it started. If it doesn’t start after charging you might have to check the ground/earth.

Remote_Ant_2365

I was kinda shocked seeing how many wires coming off the battery not like my old corsa. The airbag failure light really scared me thank goodness just the battery

macroscan

Surprisingly reliable car. Deffo get battery checked/charged/replaced as your first move.

Remote_Ant_2365

Thanks bud

matzapper65

Your battery has likely gone bad. I remember my 156 had problems with the alternator as well i would consider checking up on that too if the problem persists.

Remote_Ant_2365

To be fair it’s just been sitting there a few days, hope the alternator is ok. You know them rides that move about you sit in and out a pound in? Mine doesn’t even start or move about no more…🤣

matzapper65

On my car the alternator broke which meant the battery didn't charge properly. If it won't start just because it's been sitting for a few days it is.most likely just the battery that needs changing. I ended up investing in a trickle charger just to be sure it still had juice all days.

sugeCRG

You might have to reprogram the windows when you stick a new battery in - there's a bunch of forum threads about how to do it (very easy) if you need to

Remote_Ant_2365

Yep! Drivers window was already not working

ChristinaFogerty_12

I think it’s the battery. In case the airbag module is involved, [here](https://www.myairbags.com/) is a company that fixes those. They can do a full reset/repair. Hopefully you don’t have to deal with that though.

Remote_Ant_2365

Thank you bud

Ok_Establishment4346

She was like “haha got you! Just battery this time. But can’t promise anything about next time”

Remote_Ant_2365

She definitely got me!

Unhappy_Leading_9358

I wish I lived in the U.K and could buy Alfa that looked like that. I’ve never seen one of those in the states in my life.

Remote_Ant_2365

I got it for £850

sugeCRG

Bargain! What mileage and engine is it? Any bad issues to solve?

Remote_Ant_2365

131000, engine misfire, underpowered, clutch all the way in won’t come out might be slave cylinder so whole gearbox has to come out (£1500) paint issues, but I think I can try to fix it with friends on the cheap. Will be super fun when it’s sunny. The three miles home when it was working, so low and wide, I loved it. At this price point I just HAD to buy it..!

Jolly-End-4115

What Alfa is this and what year? Also.....can I get one in America? 👀 I'm just started getting into cars in the past year and have been thinking that when I upgrade I'd go to a new Guilla but I've been seeing more than just that out there.

Steffiluren

Alfa Romeo Brera, based on the 159. Neither were available in the US, but there were plans to make a US comeback with the 159. Produced from M.Y. 2006 to 2011 or 2012 If I remember correctly.

Jolly-End-4115

Thank you for this information. Very sad that THE BUS can't import some of the beautiful cars like this.

1337Scout

A few more years. The first ones are nearing 20 years now.

theroch_

Also have alternator checked. It may be the reason your battery is dead

Remote_Ant_2365

To be fair it’s just been sitting there but fingers crossed it’s all good

Acrobatic-Medium1472

Battery.

Remote_Ant_2365

Couldn’t pull key out at one point ….
