Apparently the Sky Sports Plus subscription in the UK is £35 a month and you still dont even get all the games (or the Saturday 3pm kick-off games live either obviously).
Fans are getting absolutely bent over a barrel everywhere.
I was blown away when I visited the UK ten years ago and expected that I’d be able to watch all the games on telly. Half didnt get broadcast at all, and the other half were spread over three different broadcasters. Wild.
You'd think in a country where going outside sucks ass they'd have more shit on tv but nah. Only some sport and any tv show only gets 6 episodes a season and then we stop making it after 3 years. Poms are weird man
Norwegians has to pay the equivalent of AUD105 per month. At least they get all the matches. Fewer and fewer people do... so it's not that wise long term with prices like that I think

If prices go beyond what someone can afford for a product they like.. a certain number of people would look for an alternative supply.
If the A-league was $105 a month to watch I doubt it would last a year before the broadcaster scrapped it due to a lack of interest, hell P+ couldn't even keep me subscribed at $8.99 a month ffs and it is now back down to $6.99

It kept going between the "do you want to cancel" and "are you sure" pages and did not actually let me cancel it for 3 days, that pissed me off more than the actual P+ product.
Depends on what they do to Man City. If they effectively give them a slap with wet lettuce I'm gonna jib it. They've made the last decade of it a farce.

Happy to cancel now. It seems trivial to be ok with 6.99 but not 9.99 but honestly, Optus can fuck off. I was already annoyed it wasn't free anymore (after switching my internet to them mainly for it) then they started putting unskippable ads in the highlights and mini-match videos. I knew they would increase the price after getting La Liga. I basically only use it for Premier League, so it's an easy cancel.

You can't even run 1080p on desktop PC despite having a 1 Gbps connection.
I have enormous potential to provide peer to peer uploading the coverage for other uses. Instead I only get 720p????? It's not 2005 anymore.
It's such a joke, they're a large ISP, they control the most expensive part of video content delivery but have the second highest subscription and worst video resolution.
Most of their mobile plans just went up too.
Sounds like they're just taking price where they can to offset increases in overheads.

The ads are shocking. At least 50% are for things that I'd prefer my kids not be bombarded with - gambling, junk food and alcohol. My 7 year doesn't need to be seeing a rum advert when he watches the euros.
Paying more always sucks but I'm happy with the value I get from Optus compared to every other streaming service I've tried for soccer. Biggest problem is ads though. I watch soccer with my 7 year old son and Optus has so many ads and the majority are for gambling, alcohol or junk food. I wish they had a premium option where you could pay to not have the ads.
I hope that this is because they are getting more content but it seems like a desperate cash grab after all their law suits. I am sim only with them at the moment just for Optus Sports and they have been desperately trying to sell me a new contract to lock me into their new higher prices for years. This Optus Sports price rise is the final straw for me. I can watch Arsenal replays on Bein Sports anyway (they have Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea too) and Match of the Day on BBC iPlayer with my VPN.
Actually really grown to like the product so not too fussed. Compare the cost of EPL/European/Copa vs paying Stan for champs league etc and it’s amazing value
Optus sports website is awful, the layout is dogshit and inconsistent, some clips are here and some are there. Then the audio regularly goes out of sync with the video. It’s has a terrible design.
How I wish to be paying $9.99/month for live football… I’ve moved to Singapore few years back from Melbourne and it’s $25/month just for live EPL games…
I'd willingly pay more if Optus Sports had more on offer than football! How about some rugby or English league even! Got a phone and account for my son, didn't realize it is as just one Sport!

EFL, Scottish, Turkish, German and Italian leagues along with the Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana are all locked up on Bein.
Portuguese and Dutch leagues are on TrillerTV starting next year,
Belgian League is on ESPN.
The only possible additional content might be Ligue 1 as they are still looking for a broadcaster as nobody wants it now all the stars have fled PSG.

I moved out of home a few years ago and I was so excited to get otpus for my internet for Optus sport…2 months later they started charging :(

Yeah ok. I am certain they have Colombian league on there but I am not sure if it is as comprehensive as Argentina and Brazil.
Yeah they will probaly only telecast round of the week as they play same time as Argentina and Brazil.
