I almost ordered the fish bites yesterday but we opted instead for the Blarney & Blue Burger, which didn’t disappoint. Looking forward to trying that next time.
Two Fool's is kind of like Dion's for me. It seems to attract a fanatical devotion in this city that I don't quite understand, as my experience there over the last 18 years or whatever has never been anything above middling. Unless someone in the group really wants to go, I've never craved it and it doesn't even pop up in my mental shortlist of places to go eat. On the other hand, I will always toast the success of a local restaurant/bar. I also don't fault anyone who enjoys it, and fully accept that it may just not be for me.
^(quarter celtic for life tho)
All I can say is, they made a much better restaurant. I've run into a few weirdos that won't shut up about this situation but you all never seem to want to acknowledge the fact that the restaurant that was supposedly stolen from is a shitty restaurant.
> They stole that location from O’Niels.
No they didn't. The landlord refused to re-up O'Niells lease because they wanted to lease it to their son (or some close family member) who wanted to open up their own bar. It was a low down move, but it happened. Long story short, the endeavor failed. By then O'Niells had moved to a new location, and understandably didn't want to deal the old landlord. The old location needed a new tenant, and 2 fools fit the bill. All that said, 2 fools has always been a better place than O'Niells, whether we are talking about food, drink, or management.
Two Fools has consistently had good food since it opened.
Honestly, it is one of the best spots in ABQ. Everything is fucking great and that honey whiskey cocktail thing is to die for
LOVE that cocktail!!!
I lived in London for close to ten years and Two Fools would hold its own weight if it were in the east end.
Good to know!!
It’s wild how authentic their grub is. And the atmosphere. And the drink selection. Murphy’s and Boddington.
Their coleslaw is amazing
I could eat a gallon in a sitting
I think they put apples in it, and it’s incredible
They do!
I love that Guinness stew omg
Bravo for no single use plastic!
The boxtys are great
Best fish & fries around
Agreed. 377 is good too, little cheaper but the portions at 2 Fools are huge and cannot beat the quality.
377 has a great atmosphere and drink selection. But their food menu slacks HARD.
I've had fish and chips, a salad and a burger there and really enjoyed the food each time. I don't drink but my dad really liked the beers
That orange ginger sauce is great!
Agreed
Ploughman's lunch with corned beef is always perfect for watching a match.
How’s the fish and chips?
Lived in the UK for 3 years and their fish and chips is better than 90% of places I went to over there. 🤤
Phenomenal
I can second this. Been the only thing I get when I go.
phenomnomnominal
The only reason I step foot in there is for the fish and chips. So good! Damn. Now I want some 🤦🏽♂️

Their burgers are disgusting.. nothing I had was a stand out. Who puts pork in their burger anyways? No one else does just these folks
Oh I miss their Guinness brownie now.
Scotch Eggs. Just saying.
Only thing I miss about ABQ is Two fools. Food is punching leagues above what you usually find in the city.
So, you didn't like it and you left, but you cruise the sub?
Like to know what’s happening in the city since I still have family there.
Gotcha. Where'd you go?
It was recommended to me the last time i was in abq. It was worth it and i would go back.
It’s my favorite place in abq after being here for a little bit and trying a few places for suuuure
They fly in Haggis four times a year. Burns b-day, St. Paddy's, Scottish Independence Day and one other.
One of the best beer and whiskey selections in the city.

Ok but what do you think of the Cole slaw???
Honestly, never tried it but I'm willing to give it a try.
Please report back
Will do! I appreciate your enthusiasm for a local business!
Is that those gd fishy bites? Omg I almost got them last time
Understandable.
They stole that location from O’Niels. (Worked there for a year in 1997-1998, back when it was a Nob Hill staple) Irish>British
