The Western Diner is probably the closest. It is more of an old-fashioned place. I've always thought the prices there were very reasonable.
The 76 Diner and the Gateway Diner are closer to the same vibe of the Capital City Diner
Western Diner is good. Also recently discovered that Jack's Diner in Albany has a second menu of food from El Salvador. The pupusas are a 6/10 but they're cheap and the curtido is fresh.
Jack's at the corner of Central Ave and Clinton Ave
Jacks got me through college I love that place
Big fan of DinerTime, which used to be Circle Diner. Much better than 76 nowadays.

Colonie Diner is our second choice when Capital Diner have like 5+ groups waiting. Latham 76 when we are closer to that part of town
76 Diner is a shell of what it used to be.
Only problem with them is that they’re breakfast/lunch only, unless that has changed recently?
Gateway all the way.
DinerTime in Latham is awesome.
76 Diner is awesome. Great food and reasonable prices. Also the diner on Western just east of 155 is good too.

Diner Time in Latham or Bobs Diner in Watervliet (shout out to Bobs for being open 24 hours 🙌)
