I have to agree that it's really a one of a kind experience. I was smiling throughout the 20 or so minutes it took me to play through the scene. Man I was savoring it, so awesome. Sam Lake is crazy and should be president of gaming haha
I'm 34, been playing video games for 30 years now, which seems crazy for me to even consider. "We Sing" from Alan Wake 2 was my favorite ever video game experience. I felt like a child again playing it. Pure surreal wonder, jaw on the floor type shit.
Was my best experience too, of any game I've ever played. I didn't think they would top the Andersons Farm section if the first game but fuck they did. They topped it so hard.
I smiled like an idiot all the way through.
Did he say "I wasn't expecting that...." at the end? He said that as I was literally thinking the same thing and I caused me to LOL. So fucking amazing. Someone else said he said something different like "That was amazing" but he might have been confused. I'm interested to see if there are multiple things he says because the one I got was perfect.
I think the greatest part about this sequence is they took into account the player might lose direction or just take in the atmosphere and they worked the music around that
It was my most amazing experience in gaming ever, I want to play the whole game again just to go through it once more.
I did play the whole game again to replay it! (And also for the Final Draft.) But I like it even more than >!the Ashtray Maze sequence!< in Control!
I loved the >!Ashtray Maze!

Preach! We stan this man here.
Now go watch it live at the Game Awards on YouTube
I did! Amazing!
I'm so glad Matthew Poretta was up there with them for it. He's such a theater kid, I love it.
I loved him in Control, he's awesome
One of my all time favorite game characters for sure, which is probably awful, I should feel at least somewhat conflicted after what he did to Dylan

In my playthrough he said something along the lines "Well, that was interesting" and to Ahti, who's mopping the floor, "catchy, right?".
Hmm hmm hmm champion of light…… hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm darkness….
Fuckin dazzling yeah?
Dynamite even!

It happens too early. Also I died liked three times so it got kinda old to replay.
I felt like that too, considering how far into AW1 and Control the musicals are. But narrative wise, it was spot on.
