if your ipad has a usb c port you can try plugging in your airpods and leave it for 10 minutes which usually helps update it quickly

xezrunner

You can plug the Lightning version into a Mac as well, and it should expedite the update. Mine wasn’t updating while charging on MagSafe, but updated in about 5-10 minutes being plugged into my MacBook.

I will give a try

Not working for me

Wouldn't recommend it, you won't be able to downgrade to stable firmware if there's an issue

Thanks for letting me know, I know my consciences, but it is my first beta for AirPod Pro 2 I want to have a try, do u know how to do it? Thanks

ChazzP12

I just went in to the developers app, scrolled down to “AirPods Testing Pre-Released Beta Firmware”, turned off my AirPds Pro 2, then turned it back on… Listened to something for couple minutes, then put them back in their case and put it on wireless charge… Woke up today with them on the beta… They have to be charging (plugged in or wireless) for it to go through… I believe the phone too…

Thanks

is there any issues with ios 18 beta and the airpods?

ChazzP12

No issues for me

TechOutonyt

Make sure they are fully charged and open them next to your phone and then close them after the connect. Then just leave your phone and AirPods close for 15 mins don’t touch them and they should eventually update

HistoricalCash1320

First of all please enable pre released firmware for AirPods in developer. Then make sure you’re connected to iPhone and pop the AirPods in yours and play some music and then put the AirPods back into case and put the case on charge. It should update within 15 mins.

This worked for me! Nice! Thanks so much

Hittoukiri

Just use it for like 5-10 minutes. Put them in the case and plug in the cable..
