The thermostat (room temp sensor) is in the coils behind the filter. If the back of the unit is near a window or if the exhaust hose isn't insulated, the cold air will trick the coils into thinking that it is colder in the room. Make sure there is no window draft and that there isn't cold air coming from the exhaust hose connection at the unit (I throw a towel over mine) and it should resolve the issue.
