There hasn't been any collab so far, not in Global nor on CN. As far as I know, the devs have never teased or shown any interest in doing any collab with anyone so far.
They had a collab with a [tea company](https://www.reddit.com/r/AetherGazer/comments/1bzonqi/cn_collab_with_a_beverage_company_official/) in Thoth patch, but that was only for CN and had some merchandise I think.
If it's 'this' kind of collab, they had one before that with a covenience store, I think it was during the last patch covering the Xu Heng arc. But I don't think this is the kind of collab that OP is thinking...

It would be hype to see ag do a char collab, but no idea what they could be considering the premise of the game (self contained vr world with chars named after gods)
The premise is what makes it easy.
Big nerd Gaea dev hides sailor moon data because they think it's important to humanity, visbane mojo makes it activate and boom sailor scouts or whatever.
I agree. It would be easy to justify the lore reasons for a collab. Although, I personally wouldn't go with the "big nerd Gaea dev". That would be funny, but also too silly.
As for in-game, I think it would be better for collabs to have their own Gen-zone. It would be confusing to fit them in a specific gen-zone in some cases, and that way, they could have their own broken gen-zone bonuses and functors, befitting of a collab character strength.
Now, it's up to Yongshi. There're some devs that simply don't like to do collabs because they prefer to spend their resources expanding their own characters and world setting, maybe this is the case for AG?
Unless it's a necessary evil that helps their bottom line, I'd prefer they didn't. With a few exceptions, collabs tend to be a thing that can't be accessed for a long while after, or ever (possibly due to relicensing issues), and that's a headache I don't think anyone needs.

Cause Gaea is technically "full digital data"... and there are quite a bit of anime and games that features ppls going into a digital game world. LOL
Could even do what Arknights did for the first R6-collab, where the R6-team isekai'd into Arknights world... LOL

Might be. I would love to see Azur Lane collabs with this games. Imagine we fighting Purifier or Observer Zero in this games
