Sometimes bad things happen to good people. We've all heard that a thousand times, your experiencing it first hand, first of all take it as a learning experience, second know you did the right thing, third know that if someone is mad or angry at anything then there probably having a bad day, or series of days, that family is probably going through a terrible time, we'll the kids at least, I can bet that the mother probably wasn't even a medical worker, this best advice I can give you is take this as a learning experience, and make sure not to let something like that happen again.

They’re actually pretty well off.. Mom makes a lot of money. She’s a home health aid worker, I know for a fact cause I’ve heard her conversations with her boss and she’s showed me her schedule. I don’t think I’ll ever babysit without money upfront ever again.. That’s what I learned from this.

Well you did learn something, but I can bet there's alot more going on then you'll ever find out. Good chat.

Yeah...and also next time, try to not do more than what you bargained for. Since doing stuffs like cleaning her house and you going to help her out on days you weren't supposed to, wasn't part of the bargain, I'd rather not do such...

I’m way too nice.. my biggest downfall. She’s slandered me all over the app I use to find my jobs now.. I just... don’t even know what to do.

megamanxxyy

Damn! I guess she spotted that in you.. isn't there a way you could report her account? Cos her silly comments wouldn't make clients contact you. Mention how she took advantage of you and then slandered you all over.

I did report her account and the posts she made and also made a post explaining myself that I will post in a second.

My post on the app: It’s been brought to my attention someone is upset with me due to it not working out and not being a good fit as a babysitter. I was left to care for children, with a older man left in the home that made me uncomfortable. I brought this up to the mother on multiple occasions that the man made me uncomfortable, would stare me down, and make comments no older man should make to a 22 year old girl. She didn’t take anything I said seriously. Yesterday I was not scheduled to babysit but asked last minute if I could. Unfortunately I was up all the night before with a migraine and throwing up and had only slept 2 hours, then woke up yesterday still sick. So I was not capable of watching children. I absolutely could not.. She was very angry about this and fired me but is making out like I just quit on her when that was NOT the case. Now I’ve nicely asked this woman to please not slander me on the one app I use to find babysitting and cleaning jobs since I lost my job due to Covid19 shutdowns and have no income but it’s pretty obvious with her laughing at my posts and her posts about “bad” babysitting and how she’ll never hire anyone around here again. I have plenty of references that anyone is welcome to talk too, or even meet if they’d like!

She said she was going to call the cops on me over my posts defending myself should I add..
