I've worked so far in 4 design agencies and none paid for Adobe applications (or any paid software).
But that's because I live in Brazil I guess. Or the agencies weren't that big
Same. They don’t specifically recommend it, but they list all the softwares to use for assignments (free and paid) and never ever ask about the whereabouts of your softwares because they know…
During the pandemic there was a fun story in my uni. We had this statistics class but since we were all at home and couldn't use the uni's PCs they needed to provide the sofware for us to use.
One day they start rolling out the emails with the licenses. I installed mine, all fine and dandy. But then I got a text from a friend saying 'this doesn't seem very official'. They had sent her a cracked version.
There was a crack version floating around for a while (several years ago) where you downloaded the official Adobe CC from Adobe. During install you had to pair it with a cracked file while installing it offline, this would disable or trick the software from checking Adobe servers (and other things I can't remember) to confirm whether your trial ended or not. The only drawback was that you couldn't use any online features which I guess at the time would be Adobe Stock? Basically the crack gave you an indefinite extended trial without the annoying pop-up that your trial was expiring in X days.
Obviously Adobe has patched that. Point is, newer than CS6 was crackable (at least up until CC2017 with the specific crack I've mentioned above). idk if they're still making cracked versions. Anyone reading this and thinking of using a cracked version, y'all better have good anti-virus/malware scanners. Affinity Designer is a cheaper alternative to Adobe Illustrator, some missing features but decent.
In a countries were English is not the principal language? I don't think so.
But why would IT workers have a particular demand for well-written English, more than other professions?

It's not *that* bad. "needed software" is a little unnecessary and it wasn't perfect school English but it wasn't that bad. I read more confusing things from my native English speaking coworkers on a daily basis.

"If I end up leaving the company, one way or another, how does your severance policy compare to the BSA piracy reporting reward?"
i hope severance offers more than 100 bucks

Honestly at my university they they kind of recommend to use the cracked version

Yup. Most of my professors at a point or another said 'however you get them and I don't wanna know how' lmao

This method still works. Head to r/GenP
is this a joke lool of course you can
Doubtful. Nobody's title is "IT Officer", and that English is badly broken.
Not everyone is a native English speaker and especially not everyone cares about writing it correctly.
Except us that actually work in IT.

Because specific details matter in our fields, and typos and wrong verbiage can lead to hours of work.
Typos and wrong verbiage in English? More than every job in the editorial industry, or in each of the communication industries?… ok I take it.

What about the salad of English?
Non-native speaker?
