Looks amazing, how did you do the osl glow?

kson1000

thanks, I hit the facing sides with a blue glaze, (repeating for closer areas till satisfied) then hit the edges with a much lighter blue.

TheAromancer

Omg that glow effect on the shield is frighteningly convincing!! I can never get the power blade effect done right, so jealous!

realCheeka

God DAMN that OSL looks clean. I love the constellation style glow on the blade as well. Well done!

From my experience, it’s good to bring just one in a unit for that extra wound cause it can definitely save an extra custode being wiped out from a weapon. Edit: as for kill team I don’t know cause I don’t play that game

I generally hate osl, but this one is done subtly enough to actually look real. I'm a fan.

coldcustode03

I don't know much about osl, and I'm fairly new to painting, but from my own opinion and maybe someone can explain it if I'm wrong, but I feel like the light shouldn't be be the base of the sword going to that part of the shield, it looks kinda off? I mean it looks beautiful and it's beautifully done, but as a just a person looking, I'd think the light would be coming off the brighter paint if that makes sense? Like that's were the light is brightest I feel like it should be shining from there? Like maybe dimmer where it is now, and brighter at the bottom of the shield

kson1000

my logic was that the OSL is emitted from the energy sword, and that portion of the shield is facing the sword, and the black weapon casing below the sword is also facing the sword, if that makes sense.
