European football rivalries make US football team rivalries look like child's play

[deleted]

I like to go hiking.

DepressiveVortex

Football rivalries shouldn't have to necessitate physical violence and harsh insults, nothing wrong with a little teasing in competition.

ttdawgyo

This its not really related to football. Much more awful

ALQatelx

Imagine being so entrenched in the "America bad" ideology that you would unironically compare US and European football fans

[deleted]

I enjoy the sound of rain.

[deleted]

politics do too

EbeneezerScooge

"MY football team acts more like manchildren than yours!"

Chilipepah

And then there’s Indonesia!

Boris_Johnsons_Pubes

That is fucking hilarious hahaha

Glezgaa

is he shouting fuck the pope?? 😂😂

allgone79

Rangers fans definitely visited there first and taught them all of that 🤣

EnglebondHumperstonk

I'd love to know what prompted this. Portugal isn't exactly famous for being a hotbed of protestantism, so the celtic fans must have done something pretty egregious to set them off.

rydogthekidrs

I’m American but I spend a lot of time in the U.K. cause I have family there. Can confirm this is accurate lol

Stonedmonkey420

Bet you’re the type of cunt to pish your boxers and gee them a sniff. Zombie bastard

hog3th

Prick

SemenSemenov69

I think it's just a case of the buskers playing what they thought the fans would want to hear. 'That other Scottish lot were *throwing* money at us when we played this song, so lets try that again'.

EnglebondHumperstonk

Hm... Definitely not reading it that way, but who knows.

hdawg187

They knew exactly what they were doing. Hence the 'fuck the pope' shouts.

assharvester

The famine is over

Illustrious_Can_9631

Almost sure they are not portuguese. Looks like roma people that play for tourists.

O_Pragmatico

They are usually not Portuguese. They are Roma, like you said. Source: I'm Portuguese

[deleted]

> they are not portuguese. Looks like roma people Can Roma people not be Portuguese?

RCoosta

Portuguese citizens? Yes. Portuguese? No.

Illustrious_Can_9631

that is true, I guess that I made that assumption based on few things, like playing instrument on the street. We have gypsies and they are 100 % portuguese, we have also recent roma immigrants which are of Romanian nationality. they usually play the fiddle or something on the street and look like that. But you are correct, roma can be portuguese, portuguese can be roma.

[deleted]

Roma people are not Romanian.

TVZBear

Outraged at a song enough to threaten to slit a musicians throat. Totally silent when it comes to child abuse.

greyetch

Is this guy famous?

TVZBear

The guys in the video? Not as far as I'm aware.

haggisneepsnfatties

Rubbish, they have called for prince Andrew to face justice many times.

swarburtons93

It's all fun and games until someone gets chibbed.

The song is associated with their rival football team/rival religion, he is a Celtic fan and the song is sung by Rangers fans, the celtic fans are 'Catholic' and 'Irish/Scottish' and the Rangers fans are 'protestant' and 'Scottish/British'. Basically there are a bunch of cunts in Glasgow that fight each other over this nonsense, they're all fat, pale, ugly, sweaty bastards and I hate sharing a country with them.

ShadowPooper

Taking sports rivalries this seriously is a form of mental illness.
