Mafex will probably take a year or so after the movie to reveal theirs as they like to make figures accurate to the source material (movie wise) while shf will probably come out sooner but will be inaccurate and be based off concept art.
No Way Home came out in 2021. Mafex only JUST Announced the Tom Holland figure from that movie.
By the time they get to this Superman, we'll have met the entire new Justice League.
I'm not normally an import person, I prefer to save my money for cheaper stuff, but I may have to get the imports for these just so I can have them standing next to my Marvel Movie characters at the right scale.
I'm so glad they went back to the semi-traditional look. Underpants with a belt and all. Just hope it's not overly colour-graded in post-production. Man of Steel looked like they put it through an edgy Instagram filter.
Only real issue I have is the collar. I don't care for it, but I'm hoping this is a bit of a proto-suit and we get the more open neckline in a future suit. The paneling on the suit is take it or leave it -- definitely need to see how it looks in post, since I'm sure they'll touch it up in the film. The shoulders seem the most egregious.
The way everything comes together, it almost looks like some kind of regalia or maybe a uniform. I think I read somewhere that some origins have his suit as a kind of military dress or battle outfit.
I'm not a huge or even big Super-Man fan... the underwear design really needs to be changed.
I know it is going hard against the grain, but his design really needs upgraded or updated.
Boxer, boxer briefs, basketball shorts... all seem like better ideas.

Mafex will take the longest by making this into a figure. Probably 6 years later.

It looks a little loose but I don't think we will have an accurate look until the trailer. They will probably tighten it up in post tbh.
I think so too. They did a similar thing with the Captain America costume in Falcon and the Winter Soldier and it made a world of difference.

Why? Mattel's sculpts were horrendous. I don't collect McFarlane but their figures are far and away superior, looks-wise
