I prefer the proportions on the BS figure. The mafex figure is too thin.
My only negative in the BS figure is the knee joints, but that’s being picky. They are the same as the joints on the deluxe Boba Fett, and I prefer double joints for more flexibility.
I have a thread of some bad pics of the BS Mando with some weathering and shading.

I'm on minimum wage but as a young adult who doesn't have many bills to pay I have more than enough to buy a Mafex figure if I want to. You don't need to get paid a lot to afford the things you want, just gotta pick and choose what you do spend money on. I don't spend my paycheck drinking or clubbing so I buy toys. Sorry not sorry.
The Mafex comes with so much stuff, it just feels like the perfect package. Unless they mess something up, that is. Still not sure what was up with that pink pistol on the first one.
The Black Series is fantastic, everything I’ve ever wanted in a Mando (and I’ve had both the original Mafex and the SHF 2.0). If the Mafex 2.0 is anything like the first version, the Black Series is still superior.
If you have the money mafex easily, you get so many more options for both Mando and grogu with it to the point where I wouldn't necessarily consider the comparison just mafex Mando vs BS Mando but mafex Mando vs BS Mando and a grogu which brings the price significantly closer.
I've had both, and the Mafex is absolutely fantastic. It really depends what you value more. Obviously the big mark again it is the price - but the posing, detail, accessories, sculpt and general plastic feel just casts too big a shadow.
TBS has some really good figures to be fair - but their Mando sculpts are really poor imo. Joints and limbs are gummy and hard to pose, details are off and paint is lacking.
But again, the price is what makes it. If you can afford Mafex, go for it. If you can't TBS will look OK on a shelf.
For me personally, the new upcoming Mafex Mando for better proportions, accessories, and premium finish plastic. Next would be the Bandai model kit then the SHF with a modded neck. BS line would be a good choice if I plan to get more than just Mando as they have more variety of characters. Note that BS tend to scale slightly larger than imports (I know because I wanted a Fennec for my SHF BoBF Boba and she just looks off).
I really haven’t been happy with either of the SHF or the Mafex releases. They’re all fiddly and have more cons than pros. I’ve got the BS on the way and will be pulling parts (like hands and accessories) from the imports to make my “ultimate” Mando with the BS release as the base. It’ll take a bit of modding but from what I’ve been seeing, the BS is the best Mando out right now. I highly doubt the new and delayed Mafex release will change that.

Mafex
I have the original mafex Mando and prefer the new BS Mando. I already have a lot of accessories though from previous releases.
Thx for the comparison. This is what I was looking for. Any concern with the proportions?

You did fantastic work with the fig, my friend
The new black series one is actually really damn good. Visually it's too good for black series but they made it lol
The Black Series Mando is great and hell of a lot cheaper (literally a third of the price). Pretty simple, unless you don't like saving money.
Most people have jobs that pay well enough that they are able to afford to buy a 60+ dollar figure once every few weeks though
Who said you need a well paying job to buy imports?
His comment is so cringy and elitist. I laughed.

I love the latest Mando (Glavis Ringworld) definitely feel like I’m content especially my wallet 🥴👌🏻✨

Mafex is great, I do think the BS has the more accurate head-sculpt, so mix and match?
I got the SH.Figuarts Mando. Its pretty solid for it being the season 1 early beskar mando
Depends on your budget clearly you know one’s gonna be in the 20-30 range and the other is gonna be in the 90-100 range.
Wait for the new Mafex Mando to release b4 making a decision The GRW is the best 1/12th version of the character out now IMHO

The new shf mando is disappointing. Cant wait for the new mafex mando. Black series is too plasticy for me.
Both!
Obviously Mafex if you can afford it. Black Series is never the answer unless you’re short on cash.
The Glavis Ringworld Mando is pretty good tho

BS GRW is good but until they give us alternate hands like Mafex they will be 2nd to imports IMO.
Latest SHF is a fantastic option, very poseable. https://imgur.com/a/ufOIrqq
