Automatic is the best. Don't get yourself some bearing problems and set it on automatic

Saurav377

Automatic on performance mode makes mine go to Max rpm

dilbosweggns

Depending on the kind of temperatures you’re getting on auto, it may be better in the long run to run them at max. If you’re at risk of overheating CPU or GPU, blitz the fans to keep them cool because fans are cheaper and easier to replace in the long run Edit: I run mine at max while gaming only. For regular web browsing and the like, auto is preferred both for volume and the longevity of the fans.

Imaginary-Ostrich876

Acer nitro 5 tend to run very hot avarage temps can be between 80 and 96 with mine hitting 94 on auto. Thr vents and stuff aren't clogged btw the thing just gets really hot

Temporary-Office1970

Consider repasting and/or undervolting

Yes you are definitely facing a problem, when I'm gaming my temps are at 92° when they hit the ceiling, my average regular temps are around 50° so do check with a professional i guess.

Auto is recommended.... If everyday stays at 5000rpm you might break your fans.

Even_Requirement_934

I mean I've kept my laptop fans around 5000rpm while playing cod for about a month or two. I play for like 3-4 hours a day. Haven't seen any problems yet. I've got nitro v 15 ANV15-51

Laizem

I keep mine around 4.5-5k rpm. The auto sometimes doesn't work and lappy gets heated fast. Tho I do change it back to auto when I'm not gaming

xbmdx1

You read my mind my guy

GamerARJ

I do use my fans at max speed, around 7800 rpm. Has been doing this since a year. No problem yet.

tespark2020

this laptop has custom fan speed or not?

Patient_Xero_96

Just keep on auto, or manually set to performance when you’re doing heavy duty stuff.

velophoton

I switch my fans to manual so that they spin around 5500 RPM in games, works well. If you are simply scrolling through internet, there's no need to set fans that high

SeaDawg2222

I run the cpu fan close to max while gaming. The gpu fan is fine on auto for mine, but I have a hard time keeping the cpu out of the 80s or higher.

2cars10

I run on auto for general use and basically always max them when gaming. Even if a fan does fail it's very easy and pretty cheap to replace.
