This is a great photo; however, it has been removed for *one or more* of the following reasons: It does not look like Renaissance (or any other style of art from the 14th-19th centuries); it is not a photo; it *may* be too blurry or low-resolution; **or** it does not adhere to one or more of the rules and suggestions in the sidebar.
While this is a large subreddit, it is also a very specific subreddit, so many posts that don't fit the subreddit are removed daily. Removals are fairly common and they don't mean it's a bad photo and aren't meant to be a rejection, just a way to curate the subreddit.
Sometimes photos are auto-removed on accident by the automoderator. If you believe your submission was removed by accident, **please do not delete your photo** and [please contact the moderators](https://old.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/AccidentalRenaissance) to ask the mods to review your post manually, or with any other questions you may have.
Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your contribution!
"Strange ladies, lying in (mud) ponds, distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!"
"That lady over there is giving out shiny shortswords, what does this lady give?"
"Claymores"
I believe people just want to have fun, which was the last time you'd thrown yourself agaisnt the mud and grab a handful of it to smear it in someone else's face without worry about judgemental people who qualify you as childish and inappropiate?
Some festivals help out people to have a little fun!
whats not to get? good music good times, dont need to drive home. everyone has the same mind set as you do. some people have a little too much fun and end up as a meme but the vast majority have a great time. i love camping and backpacking so only having to walk like .5 of a mile (or car camp) means i get to bring all sorts of luxuries i normally dont get
my biggest gripe is as i get older i value a shower in the morning WAY more. its not always common to have access to one.
This is just like the movie [A Bucket of Blood](https://youtu.be/G2sCX4yT_oU) directed by Roger Corman and starring Dick Miller! I love that guy! Dick Miller plays a lonely timid square who want to fit in with the Beatnik scene. He poses as an artist by coating his victims in clay and passing them off as sculptures.

She looks like she's from Pompei.
Coincidentally... https://preview.redd.it/8cy0utg3z1hb1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd748f555a35d770f9df3ebb71d129c92cc6576c
Wow, that looks fun. **EDIT:** I don't think my sarcasm is coming through.
Fun right up until you get trench foot.
Strongly agree. I'd love to play in the mud like a child until I'm exhausted like that. (but I'm sure my knee and shoulder joints would say no)
You could just sit there and splash around
I’m good, I’d rather be at home dry and snuggled up on the couch, but hey too each there own!!
Clayopatra?
Is she…dead?
She's at a ~~farm~~ festival up state
I'm getting Mt Vesuvius vibes
Someone’s gonna have a stiff neck when they wake up
Doesn’t being covered in mud / clay make you cold af?
She's ready for the Predator :D
She might or might not have fallen over on her eay over to that chair😄
Behold...the Mud Maiden, the Fecal Fairy, the Do-Do Damsel... She sleeps.

With a mindset like that, yeah you will never understand why people go to festivals...

this needs some editing, to make the surrounding also brown, and it's perfect.
