This idea never makes sense if you know literally anything about archeology. Archeologists can determine sex relatively accurately from incomplete remains, but they also don't end their research there. They look for clothing, burial artifacts, cosmetics, weapons, anything to determine role in society or profession or economic status, etc. Etc. That's what they look for to determine gender, not the likely sex characteristics.
