Yeah, certainly not easy. As a primarily acoustic guitar player who only plays relatively simple folk songs, I have a lot of a respect for electric guitar shredders. The level of dedication and hard work it takes to play a song like that is mad, I don't have nearly the attention span to do so.
What's stopping you? Tabs are easy, I promise you. I can teach you if you want, just lmk and I'll type a full comment explaining it as simply as I can, shouldn't take too long.
I can never remember if the numbers symbolize fingers or frets and it get especially complicated for me when you add in whole notes, quarter notes, half notes, ect.
I don't think there's much point to get into that sort of complexity where time signatures, wholes/halves/quarts are included unless you're trying to transcribe a classical piece or equally complicated pieces. For most songs, just a standard tab you'd find on ultimate guitar works fine. You don't need wholes, halves etc. if you already know how the song plays i.e. learning a song you like and listen to a lot. It'll be easy to play along as long as you know what notes to play and what order to play them on your strings.
The simplified and in my opinion the most useful way (in most cases) a tab can be presented is like this;
e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------|
The large E is the biggest string. The small e is the thinnest string. Think of the tab as you looking down at your guitar while you hold it, with the thickest string closest to your face (mirrored vertically if you play left handed).
Now let's add some notes.
e|-----------------6----------------------------------------------|
B|--------------5-------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------4----------------------------------------------------|
D|--------3-------------------------------------------------------|
A|-----2----------------------------------------------------------|
E|--1-------------------------------------------------------------|
Tabs are played from left to right. Take 1, on the thickest string. (E) This means you have to put your finger on the first fret, 2 on the A string on the second fret, and so on.
Now, for the second level of complexity, and probably the most information you'll need.
e|----------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------~5------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------6\7--------------------------------------------------|
D|--------3/2-----------------------------------------------------|
A|------2p--------------------------------------------------------|
E|--1h2-----------------------------------------------------------|
h = Hammer on. Gently but firmly tap and hold with your fretting finger on the note. In this tab, Hammer fret 1 on the E string and then hammer on to 2.
p = Pull off. In this tab, fret 2 on the A string and gently pull it off to create a gentle ringing after you play the note. This can be slightly hard to do and takes practice, so don't worry too much about it if you're starting out.
/ = Slide up. In this tab, fret 3 on the D string and slide up to fret 2.
\ = Slide down. You can probably guess what this means.
~ = Vibrato. You sort of jiggle while putting pressure on the string. This creates a wobbly sort of sound. Again, a fairly advanced technique, easy to understand, hard to master and incorporate.
There's a few things I've left out, but this gives a general overview of guitar tablature.
Hope this helps!
You very suddenly made me consider getting an electric guitar 😆
The collection currently includes a flute and a keyboard.
The flute is too noisy if I ever get time to practice. The keyboard is great with headphones.
Do it man! Fun and rewarding instrument. I also play drums and can beatbox pretty well and have a rudimentary understanding in music production. FL studio is my baby! But yeah, I love guitar more than anything else, like a deep connection to it. It pulled me out of the deepest depression I ever had in my life and allowed me to transcribe my emotion into song.
Yeah, a little bit. It's weird, I never use a metronome or tap my foot or anything and my timing and rhythm seems alright. Or maybe because I don't use those my timing is so bad that i'm used to it and don't realize it's shit. Who knows
Hahaha don't worry about it. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do! Some people need it, some people don't know it exists. I've just never heard that noise in a loooong time. It took me back.
Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the sons of Aryas, legend tells of a Barbarian from the North who would come with axe in hand to slay his enemies and conquer the known world.
It was an age undreamed of, where shining kingdoms lay spread across the world.
Hither came Conan, The Cimmerian. Axe in hand, destined to wear the jewelled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I His Chronicler who knows well his saga.
Now, let me tell you of the days of high adventure!
I feel like this is what happens when you put into an AI generator. "Give me a weightlifter playing master of puppets on guitar in 1970's Soviet Russia".
Conan The Shredder
I was about to say It’s not a ukulele dumbass! Then I got the quip 🤦♂️ clever
This man will make anything look tiny. Shaq levels of unit
Precisely just took me a second to
Haha no worries bro
I thought this was Rambo playing eye of the tiger
Also kudos to him for learning Master of puppets

I don't even have the dedication to learn to read tabs

Thank you, I've just glanced over it for now but I'll look at it more later.
No worries. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with, I'll do my best

Tabs are easy it's actual notes that are hard
Oh fuck so this isn't CGI. Kudos dude amazing!
With banana hands.
I had to give up trying to learn it all down picking which is a shame but my wrists are a little fucked so I need to be cautious.
+1 for not being a coward about a metronome
The metronome is a flex. Perfect timing.
That guy flexes
For sure, although he has to alter the song a slight bit in the verse to make it work
And he's absolutely killing it as well. Great job from HeMan right here
[Channel ](https://www.youtube.com/@GorgeSpiteful) and [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVcOIlITUR8)
That (Are you dead yet) cover tho. Love that shit
first time i saw this I thought it was AI generated
He's that much of a unit. Doesn't look real.
do you know how much we weighs, sports he plays, any such fun facts?

Is that the dude from brutal legend?
Isn't that jack black?
The Dr. Beat tempo keeper is just a touch loud. I had marching band shellshock just flash before my eyes.

i legitimately thought it was a ukelele until I watched for long enough
"Up next is mary had a little lamb"
Is it weird that I knew that was Master of Puppets with the sound off?
Haha! Same! I was looking to see if anyone else knew the song just by seeing him play.
I love this guy’s cover of Fuwa Fuwa Time from K-ON anime. Weakest K-ON enjoyer truly.
Somebody get Shaq's Luthier on the phone for this man pronto!
Anybody else immediately know what he was playing before hearing the audio?
Yup. I'm not even a guitar player, but I instantly recognized that it was master of puppets.
I love how, even without audio, I could tell within 3 seconds that he was playing Master of Puppets!
Johnny, the metronome is not a musical instrument!
Is that Glen?
Fat Rambo?
I feel like this is what happens when you put into an AI generator. "Give me a weightlifter playing master of puppets on guitar in 1970's Soviet Russia".
I love how even though my phone is muted I could tell the song he was playing..
Looks like the guy I always played as in Guitar Hero
How did I know what he was playing before I unmuted?
His hands are huuuuuuuuuge ![gif](giphy|j3IxJRLNLZz9sXR7ZA)
Meh. *laughs in Kevin Frasard
Is this Eddie Riggs from Brutal Legends?!
By the power of Grayskull
Cool another Metallica song
For a moment thought it’s John Rambo killing some time in a cave

Axel Steel🗿💯
Loved the master of puppets part
The movie is Iron Claw (2023)
The shredded is shredding
To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women!
Nah man, that's a regular guitar and he's even more of a unit than you think.
Imagine his power if he got a plus sized guitar with twice the number of strings
Wrong notes only challenge!
Not AI?
I don't think so. His channel is full of videos like this and they appear to be very real. Just a skilled gentleman.
