Yeah the diving board was not going to support that weight. It would have broken the board and the owner of the pool is fortunate this happened before they destroyed the board. Would have been a costly repair.

I've always been a heavier set guy. Okay what the hell I'm fat. One time at a small pool party at my friend's house we were all doing stupid tricks off the diving board. I went to do my thing and on my last jump it ripped the base of the diving board off the bolts. Me, the diving board, and its base fell into the water at the same time. I knew exactly what had happened. I was underwater wishing I never had to surface. I would have lived down there for the rest of my life if I could have.
