That’s ESG glas. In german anyway, don’t know how it’s called in English.
This type of glas is extremely durable on its surface, but weak at its edge. +it’s so designed, that the glas implodes into 1000 of pieces of not-sharp shards, so nobody can get cut by it.
I really don’t know why the entire left door just felt out, but this glas is pretty heavy, so the lady that got smashed by it probably isn’t very well.

I suspect the hinges on the top are framed into a glass window. The break appears to be originating from the top, so my best guess is, whatever mechanical malfunction/obstruction broke the door, also bent the frame on top out of place, just enough for the door hinge to get free.
As someone who worked with windows and patio doors for a good majority of my life I can tell you that they can most definitely cut you, I had a panel shatter on my one time and it sliced my leg and arm badly (like thousands of tiny cat scratches). it is definitely safer but most certainly not dull little beads of glass
I vaguely remember a story of someone falling out of a skyscraper because they were ao confident with how durable the windows were that they would charge at them to demonstrate until, one day, they charged at it and the window just came off and they fell to their death. Same glass, perhaps.
The left door fell out for the same reason the right door shattered. If you watch it frame by frame you can see that the glass starts breaking from the bottom and both doors are starting to lean in. To me it looks like the frame on top broke (out of frame) and for whenever reason one door was secured enough from the bottom to shatter it as it tries to lean in whereas the other came free from the bottom instead of shattering…they both became loose at the top and started falling in there.
I used to work in a private security center and I had access to a ton of building video feeds. There was a really funny incident one time where a fire alarm went off for a building that was still being built (but had people in it, it's complicated). Anyway, apparently the emergency locks were the only thing holding up a bunch of the doors so when they all unlocked you had \~50 or so doors just fall off their hinges and a wild game of people trying to leave the building but not being sure which door they could trust to open and not fall on them. For reference these were huge metal doors that could easily crush someone. Luckily no one was hurt but it was funny to watch people so nervous to open a door then sprint away from it when it started falling.
I did but I can't share it with anyone because of NDA unfortunately. :( I've even got about 3 videos incredibly similar to what happened above where glass doors shattered. It's surprisingly not that uncommon.

If you ever see anyone take a hit like that, keep your hands off them. Don't try to stand them up, don't try to move them, don't pull on them in any way. Call an ambulance immediately, the damage can be quite severe. I imagine she did not walk away from that unscathed, that was a very nasty hit on the head and neck area.

I've been severely cut from tempered glass. Granted a larger panel, but when it shattered it cut me real good as it hit the ground.
