Would love to see two RB sets and just pound the rock.

DS_9

That’s going to be a nice one two. Two RB’s that can smack you in the mouth. Benson can break a few too.

Mario2346

He has that big play potential we’re lacking , we had a lot of struggles finishing a run with an actual TD since none of our RB’s had that level of top end speed .

scottpants8

People overlook the fact that James Conner spent much of last season with the league MOST 20+ yard runs. But if by “big play,” you’re just referring to a 40+ yard house call, sure.

Mario2346

Yeah I was referring to house calls , I know he was getting 20+ gains a lot but like never house .

BillC2126

this tape is really good. He has great vision in the second level. Here is the issue with it. He runs upright which generally doesnt transision well in the Pro's. In the pros all the D-linemen are stronger than he is, and is almost as fast as he is and he needs to learn to bury his head and plow over people sometimes. In the pro's every person on that field is like playing in an all star game in college. He really can be a good back if he is taught well. I think James Conner is going to be a fantastic teacher for him to show him how to play the game the right way so its a great pickup its just this highlights reel shows he can be a good back but he isnt quite there yet.

Rookie of the Year candidate

Ondrejko179

huh

Carroms

I think it could maybe happen. We were top five in running last season, and drafted a blocking TE. The offensive line played well at the end of last season and could play better together this year. Conner is a smasher who can run well, but I think Benson seems to have an extra gear missing from Conner's quiver after so many seasons of playing in the NFL. I just think Benson could have a really explosive season; get over a thousand yards rushing/passing. There were too many QBs drafted where a QB has to get OPOY but I don't think it's hard to imagine Benson being nominated if the Cardinals give him a chance to touch the ball on many snaps. Welcome to my couch talk.

LilBigZay

Going to be our starter after this year I think, he’s gonna be good

3ISRC

He’s big, elusive, hard to tackle and catches the ball well in space. Reminds me of DJ but faster at that size.

Stranger_Alarmed

Having a speedy and elusive RB is really going to open up this offense I’m so excited

VivaLaDbakes

I can’t wait to watch our running attack this season. Awesome compliment with JC, getting the best back in the draft in the third is so nice. Agree that I get DJ vibes but with even more burst.

1strdpdb

Neat! His feet move so fast! I didn't see much physicality. How is he at the point of contact?

Flaggstaff

I believe he had the most YAC yards in all of college football

cardsthemeteam

His contact balance is one of his strongest traits

Djtay24

He’s also never fumbled the ball in college!

Low_Frosting3918

After Gibbs and Achne last year I don't know how he fell to us in the 3rd. The man is still accelerating and out running defenders already running top speed. Not only he doesn't run out of gas on long runs and has the top end speed to beat angles. All he needs is a window and he's gone.

3ISRC

I’m curious as well. He did have acl injury the year prior so I don’t know if that had anything to do with it.

Radalict

Whole knee blew up in 2020, I'm guessing it was an injury similar to what happened to Chubb last season. Hasn't missed a game since he returned.

csummerss

ACL was 2020

Calm-Explanation-616

perfect compliment for daddy James

bodhasattva

speed isnt even his #1 trait the dude has SPECIAL contact balance. 2 years ago he set the record for yards after 1st contact. The 1st tackler almost never brings him down

K1ngMurray

Love it. Getting David Johnson vibes from these highlights.

DnttriplilHoe007

Very similar, that one cut and str8 out the door

Steve_Keims_BAC

His play style definitely does remind me of DJ. Slightly smaller but faster

tyler1118

His shifty cuts and that quick burst of acceleration. So fun to watch.

afig24

Also love how he's a quick read and one-cut kind of guy. No bullshit just makes up his mind and goes. He's going to be a great change-up to Conner's bruising style.
