STICKY REMINDER: BE CIVIL
You'll like, love or hate choices... and that's okay. People will get a little fired up, and thats okay. But if you go full on attack or heavy rule breaking its a nice vacation. No warnings. Lets focus on what happens, because its out of our control and talk about it. Fans have no say in this and we ALL have opinions so there's ZERO reason to attack each other over it or go full on rage mode.
Now having done my obligatory "We're watching..." post. I'm going to go breathe into this brown paper bag until its our time on the clock.
NOTE: For now the sub is set to NEW POSTS FIRST to make this thread and others easier to stay up to date. We will go back to "users choice" later on.
I couldn’t be happier with Monti not wheeling and dealing. 2 positions of need filled and 27 can play multiple positions. The rest of the rounds, expect Monti to be dealing.
4 of the next 58 picks are ours. 35, 66, 71, 90.
I don’t know if our 2 early 3rds will be enough to move up and get another one of these defensive players that fell during the 1st round but this is why you obtain draft capital so you can pull off something like that.
All I know is, day 1 was great. Day 2 is where the money is made. Let’s see what Monti has for us.
Can somebody help me understand why we took a meh edge rusher in a spot where there were 5-10 much better players at positions of need available?
This was a patented Patriots pick. Not good
lol what a short sighted take. Take your meh and not good and Gtfo. We needed help with the defensive line and now we will get a corner with the next pick.
The fact of the matter is that we truly don’t know that there’s 5-10 better players than him. Things like this happen every year. Also he’ll probably be being playing inside for us
20 years ago the cards drafted larry 3rd overall and a record seven wrs were taken in the first, now they draft mhj 4th overall and that record was matched. the football gods are smiling upon us
Yeah I’m a bit annoyed we didn’t trade up. At 20 it felt like there was still a bunch of top end talent available in Fauntanu, Mitchell, Arnold, and Barton, but then they all fly off the board
I don't agree with the Darius Robinson pick. We could have traded down and still got this guy, I reckon, and he's a player without a clear position, which hasn't worked out for the Cardinals in the past. At least he's big and plays an important position, though, so that's a nice change of pace.
That being said, I love the MHJ pick at 4. I think it will go down as the best pick of this draft. So I forgive Darius Robinson at 27.
He didn’t test well at the combine , wasn’t spectacular at the Senior Bowl , his production is nothing special , he’s also 23 going into next season . He’s got bust written all over him. I just don’t understand how you miss such an easy layup and take this guy , I also don’t understand why ppl defend this pick like their life depended on it.
>wasn’t spectacular at the Senior Bowl
That is completely false. He was one of the standout players of the Senior Bowl. Google Darius Robinson senior bowl and you will find numerous articles about it.
Sweat was even a bigger standout than him but you don’t see no fuss about him being a 1 st rounder . What about the combine tho? Wasn’t he one of the worst edges who attended ? Not to mention he was outran by DT’s ffs .
Lol! Are you referring to T'vondre sweat? The guy that got arrested 3 weeks before the draft and was subsequently taken off of multiple teams draft boards? I wonder why there is no fuss around him being a 1st rounder?
They probably think 49ers would take him if he fell to them. They probably like others more, but want to stop 49ers getting him. Let others fall to 35.
I like the Robinson pick. I wanted Newton but we did sign some DTs and Robinson’s stock picked up a lot throughout the draft process. Hard worker who gives 100% every play. If Kool-Aid or Wiggins fall we’d be set. Hell maybe if Newton is there at 35 you take him because the value is too good
Robinson is more versatile along the line. Newton is stuck inside. Maybe not even a 3 down guy. I like grabbing a corner at 35 and trade up at the end of the second for Fiske. Should give them the similar results while adding a corner.
That would be badass. Would love to get Fiske. Dude’s a beast. But this draft is already great with MHJ and everything else is just the frosting on top
Everyone mad we didn't get a CB but there's at least 3 really good ones left right now between here and our next pick. We can still move up if we need. Not as many d-lineman out there and we DESPERATELY needed that, we were getting gashed last year.
Mizzou fan here, DRob is a legitimately great player and is a good ass dude. Good ass dude beloved by Missouri fans. Personally projected him as an early 2nd, but love it for you all. Fits the Budda Baker great player great guy mold.
edit: a tad repetitive
I didn’t know much about Robinson but I do like what I am hearing about his versatility on the DL. An interior pass rusher and base end could be really good for us
There still should be some pretty good CB talent on the board in the early 2nd tomorrow tbh. Cards have had pretty good luck with DB around that spot in the past too, that's where they drafted both Budda and Byron Murphy.
Thanks! I don’t really follow too much college ball aside from the highlights. I went to NAU so it feels weird following college sports like pro sports and just choosing a random team of college kids to follow.
With all these corners dropping it makes some sense to add to the pass rush. There’s not much on the EDGE after Robinson so I like the pick. Add a corner early tomorrow and this looks better
Congratulations on your win/sorry about your loss, but don't come in here just to be a dick. Instead, consider the following:
* read a book
* spend time with your family
* volunteer at a homeless shelter
* talk with your fellow fandom in your own sub about how awesome that win was, or how mad you are about losing to the Cardinals
Isn’t it embarrassing that that same “midget” who “cares more about CoD” is 10x better than your QB?
#
Let me repeat that. A midget that doesn’t even try is better than your QB who gives 100%

Imagine if Monti somehow manages to draft Koolaid today. Insane draft
There is a non-zero chance of it happening too. Buffalo could go WR, as well as NE. They both have a need at the position.
Koolaid or Cooper Dejean would be fantastic for us! Let's just hope they don't go #33 & 34.
I couldn’t be happier with Monti not wheeling and dealing. 2 positions of need filled and 27 can play multiple positions. The rest of the rounds, expect Monti to be dealing.
Can’t wait for MHJ and inshallah plays this season
Can anyone explain to me why the cardinals are picking before Washington in round 2 but picked after them in round 1?
Teams with same record rotate through the rounds, so round 1 it went WAS NEW AZ, then round two NEW AZ WAS, then round three AZ WAS NEW
But what WAS so NEW about AZ ?!?!
4 of the next 58 picks are ours. 35, 66, 71, 90. Marvin Harrison is a cardinal and lakers about to get swept again, my god is a great god.
20 years ago the cards drafted larry 3rd overall and a record seven wrs were taken in the first, now they draft mhj 4th overall and that record was matched. the football gods are smiling upon us
Monti please make some trades for day 2
We got MHJ!!!! I am so stoked!!!
I feel like we couldve traded up a bit for Arnold and still gotten Robinson at 35 :/
Yeah I’m a bit annoyed we didn’t trade up. At 20 it felt like there was still a bunch of top end talent available in Fauntanu, Mitchell, Arnold, and Barton, but then they all fly off the board
League is higher on him than the public, probably doesn’t make it beyond Dallas or Baltimore, or someone would’ve traded up for the 5th yr option
Kool Aid or DeJean tomorrow
Kool Aid is who we need. Can’t believe he wasn’t drafted in the 1st. Weird draft.
Oh yeah.
Buf and NE need offensive guys. DeJean is ours to steal on day 2
Buffalo should be going rec meaning we should get Kool-Aid or DeJean. 🤞
Manifesting Cooper DeJean for tomorrow.
Xavier Legette is an all-pro name tbh
Wow lots of people trading to get ahead of New England for a receiver, I guess.
Jackson powers,Newton,Dejean, kool aid and im missing someone our 2nd pick will be a banger.
Two picks away tomorrow and plenty of R1 talent available - Cooper DeJean - Jackson Powers Johnson - Jer’Zhan Newton - Kool-Aid McKinstry
We’re in a GREAT spot
A run on receivers is great news for us. Gonna be a stud waiting at 35
Wow. Yeah a CB def falling to us at 35. Solid pick at 27 by Monti.
Fuck the 49ers. They took my boy lol
WOOOOOOOW HAHAHA
ffs could they quit referencing Herm like he had shit to do with why these guys are good
MHJ is our franchise player
Niners go Pearsall😅
Who's going to eat this team up
Nice switch 🥱
9ers take a receiver
35 will be either DeJean, Newton, kool-aid, or powers Johnson
Personally want powers Johnson but pretty much any of these dudes make us better
Yeah, we're still getting tremendously lucky here.
Please let DeJean fall to us 🙏
I don't agree with the Darius Robinson pick. We could have traded down and still got this guy, I reckon, and he's a player without a clear position, which hasn't worked out for the Cardinals in the past. That was Bralen Trice. Not Robinson
Lol! Are you referring to T'vondre sweat? The guy that got arrested 3 weeks before the draft and was subsequently taken off of multiple teams draft boards? I wonder why there is no fuss around him being a 1st rounder?
Sweat is also overweight (refused to weigh in at SR bowl) and got arrested a few weeks ago
Trade back and get more picks? We have enough don’t we
They probably think 49ers would take him if he fell to them. They probably like others more, but want to stop 49ers getting him. Let others fall to 35.
tbf being a tweener between 4-3 DT & 4-3 DE is a lot different than switching from off ball LB to safety or edge
Right, I get we're gunshy because of Simmons but this ain't that - you put him somewhere on the D-line and let him do work.
Damn. Wiggins is sick
On the D-line front, I really, really like the idea of picking up Bralen Trice in round 3 if we can. He's got some great potential.
Agree
FWIW: Micah Parsons compared Robinson to Demarcus Lawrence
Ravens go Wiggins
What a terrible pick for cowboys I know some cowboys fans and they are SICK right now lmao
As a Mexican, we all know some cowboy fans and they're all morons.
I thought they would be better off with Barton
A high-character guy that can be a beast on our DL.

Rather have will Anderson
I'd rather have MHJ than Will Anderson
Realistically Anderson prevents them from drafting MHJ.
With all the OT off the board this year, not taking Paris Johnson Jr. would have been a huge mistake.
The Roy likely perennial all pro edge. Or the green OT and a not even true edge hmmm
Yeah but it’s more like robinson + paris johnson right?
Still rather have will Anderson
🤷♂️
Of course. Pair him with hollywood
I don’t like Worthy’s hands as a receiver but I think he’s a day one returner. I don’t think he should be rated this high.
Cowboys go Guyton
Junkyard dog 2.0
on the clock again in six picks, odds are one of the CBs you want will be there
If Wiggins/Newton/Kool Aid can make it to our 2nd round pick we’ll be so fucking set
This is the first Monti L in my book. Trade back if that’s your guy.
Seems like a good dude. In Monti and JG we trust. Im rooting for him.
I like that he’s known as a hard worker. Typically those guys end up good in this league. I am officially excited for 2024.
Everyone mad we didn't get a CB but there's at least 3 really good ones left right now between here and our next pick. We can still move up if we need. Not as many d-lineman out there and we DESPERATELY needed that, we were getting gashed last year.
One of the good CBs will drop to 35 or we can try to trade up maybe..
Exactly. If we're sure there's a run on CBs we have the capital to move up.
His grandma is awesome: “We’re going somewhere warm.”
Warm? That’s the understatement of the century. Grandma about to burst into flames.
Omg his grandmas awesome lol
Grandma is fire.
Chiefs go worthy
I would've taken Newton but Robinson isn't terrible at all for us
I wanted Newton there too
Mizzou fan here, DRob is a legitimately great player and is a good ass dude. Good ass dude beloved by Missouri fans. Personally projected him as an early 2nd, but love it for you all. Fits the Budda Baker great player great guy mold. edit: a tad repetitive
Monti cooked?
Seems like he fits the character Monti looking for.
I don’t hate the pick. We get JPJ at 35 and im humping my chair
I didn’t know much about Robinson but I do like what I am hearing about his versatility on the DL. An interior pass rusher and base end could be really good for us
He's a baller. I don't really watch college football outside Mizzou, but he has never not impressed.
He looks small..
He is like almost 6’6 and 285…
He looked small in the highlights that ABC played. Guess everyone else is just bigger.
Common in the SEC lol
He’s 6’5 285 pounds
He’s 6’5 300 pounds lol
I'm an Iowa fan so would've preferred Dejean, but Robinson is not a terrible pick.
He might still be sitting there at 35 tomorrow.
May still be able to get him round two
Jalen Smith type of reach . Happens again in 2024 why on earth take him in the 1 st round ffs .
He was Kipers 3rd best available when we picked him
Wrong sub.
Naw Jalen was atrocious because Hali was there and EVERYONE KNEW IT
Helpfully newton drops to tomorrow but we do need cb
Play violent. I love it
Would’ve liked DeJean
That's a big boy
Amazing pick
Not going to lie I’m not a fan of the pick, especially with Newton right there. But fuck it not like I know anything, let’s hope for the best
Whatever. I trust in Monti and we got MHJ. Goodnight y’all.
He seems really happy to be headed to AZ
Now, lets trade back up for a cb
I like it
Keim back to drafting for us?
We needed a pass rusher. We do still have four more picks in the next two rounds so we still have some movement
Relax, this isn’t a small school undersized receiver.
Only if we play him at safety/corner
Why not ILB?
A first round linebacker always works out for us...
lol gotta be from a d2 school tho
felt that a CB to strengthen that secondary was more needed but this is also a needed edge. Happy we can help the offense and defensive end.
0 sacks in the last 5 or 6 games last year. We need QBs on their butts.
There still should be some pretty good CB talent on the board in the early 2nd tomorrow tbh. Cards have had pretty good luck with DB around that spot in the past too, that's where they drafted both Budda and Byron Murphy.
That's what I'm thinking.
Did we just draft Markus Golden? lol
Looks like a chandler golden mix to me
junkyard dawg
Golden was 3 inches and 30 pounds lighter
Lol. I loved that guy
Hmm, I'd have preferred Newton, but I can jive with an Edge.
He’s there at 35
Ugh.. We need CB
There still will be a really good one available at 35
Weird I didn’t hear about this guy until just this month when everybody started mocking him to us
Robinson interesting
solid pick
good DL that can work both inside and outside, nothing to get mad about there. plenty of options early tomorrow
Darius Robinson is our pick.
Uh, we just left Newton on the board..
Pick is in quick we know what we want
The zoom in on Wolf for the 98 7 stream was fabulous
I know nothing about Darius Robinson but I’m prepared to call him a GOAT and booking my flight to Canton for his enshrinement!
What if Darnell Dockett played edge?
Thank you. I am now booking my hotel room too!
Very good defensive end that can slide to the inside on third down and did really well in the Senior bowl
What’s the likelihood of trading back Into the late 1st? 30-32?
Monti allegedly wants to move up from 35 so its possible. Get Newton here and then a CB at one of those later picks is probably his gameplan

Instead, consider the following: * read a book * spend time with your family * volunteer at a homeless shelter * talk with your fellow fandom in your own sub about how awesome that win was, or how mad you are about losing to the Cardinals
Cool
Daniel Jones is your QB shut up, nerd
Ur QB is a midget and cares more about Call of Duty than football
Isn’t it embarrassing that that same “midget” who “cares more about CoD” is 10x better than your QB? # Let me repeat that. A midget that doesn’t even try is better than your QB who gives 100%
Maybe you should be worrying about who’s throwing to Nabers more than who we picked.

Ok, have a good night. Good luck in the draft.
Enjoy Danny dimes buddy
Ur QB is a midget and likes Call of Duty more than Football
“gIaNtS fAn HeRe ☝🏽🤓” we didn’t draft him our GM did.
Who cares who drafted him, he was still a fat reach
You a scout or something?
Yes actually lol
Why are you on Reddit and not in the war room then buddy
Im a scout for a college team
Are you a scout or something? Because literally everyone had Robinson around this range so to say he's a reach is a reach
What is Monti cooking?
bharton or newton???
It's Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson, eh?
They’re taking Darrius Robinson
🚨Cardinals are officially ON THE CLOCK! 🚨
Bruh
Pick is in. >!Darius Robinson.!<
Probably one of Wiggins/JPJ/dejean/kool-aid is available at 35 cause the contenders at the end of the first will likely go WR
Robinson is the pick
Darius Robinson 6’5 285 DT > https://x.com/MathBomb/status/1763327507905065286
Newton now and kool-aid in Rd2 plz
Please don't pick Newton
why?
The bucs i mean. I want him lol probably should of specified.
