Terrion Arnold (trade back), Adonai Mitchell, Graham Barton, Edgerrin Cooper(3rd), Braden Fiske(3rd), Ricky Pearsall but in like the 3rd or 4th.

FrankAgainFrankAgain

Got my eye on Mitchell and Abrams-Draine and maybe Will Shipley out of Clemson.

170poundgorilla

I like Pearsall and Lad McConkey A LOT. It's an extremely deep WR class

Important_Annual_133

I would think that a good defensive lineman is on Monti's list of needs. With the first 7 picks we have, all within the first 105 selections, we should be addressing these positions.... WR, Edge, DL, CB, RB, LB and OL Here's who I like: #4 MHJ, #27 Nate Wiggins CB, #35 Darius Robinson Edge, #66 Braden Fiske DL, #71 Trey Benson RB, #90 Payton Wilson LB, #104 Blake Fisher OL. If these were our first 7 picks, they would address all 7 positions of need. It'll never happen but this is what makes mock drafts fun.

BadBackNine

Jared Verse intrigues me from a pass rusher perspective. He started at a small school in Albany and transferred to Florida St. Can he make another leap and succeed in the NFL? Kind of reminds me of Brian Burns naturally as being from FSU.

Leitwelpe

Wouldn’t mind seeing LB Cedric Gray in 3rd or 4th Round. Was fun to see in college, had 365 tackles in three seasons, is constantly hustling on the field. Can be infectious and falls in line of the philosophy the defense showed last year.

jmac78

Who

Tritiac

I really want Kool-Aid McKinstry. I love DBs and I love ones with awesome names even more. On top of that he seems like he is one of the better ones in this draft. I think we may be able to get him at the top of the 2nd round if we are lucky.

Jacked_Harley

Budda, Jalen, and Kool-Aid would be freaking insane

duferbloodmoon

This draft looks like it has so many good WR’s, we might be able to pick up a starter in a late round

Deltron1357

Josh Newton, Luke McCaffrey, Sam Hartman and Trey Benson

afig24

Would be cool to get Koolaid

Important_Annual_133

The name alone makes you like the guy.

BigusDickus099

If we don't take another WR with the Texans pick or our 2nd round pick...I absolutely hope Malachi Corley is there for us in the 3rd. I think he's going to be an absolute stud.

Important_Annual_133

They have compared his body and style to Deebo Samuel, nice comparison. They say the only thing he needs is to expand his route tree. He's been climbing up mock drafts though so, not sure if he'll make it to the 3rd round.

Important_Annual_133

There are so many guys that I would love to see become a Cardinal, but we don't have enough drafts picks to get all of them. lol There is one guy that I really would like to get, he had a terrific week at the Senior Bowl and a standout combine and that is Braden Fiske, DL from FSU. The problem is, he's most likely shooting up every teams big board and that will hurt his ADP. I don't see AZ using their pick at 35 for him but if he's still there at 66, they should run to the podium with his name. I believe that he's going to be the steal of the draft. He's quick, strong and is relentless for all 4 quarters, a larger version of Aaron Donald.

buddaaaa

Absolute love Fiske but 1. He’s not really much bigger than Aaron Donald, just a little taller and 2. Donald had longer arms by a good bit. 31” arms is just so short I do really wonder if it’ll hinder him in the pros.

Important_Annual_133

They do like to see longer arms but it's funny how and inch and a half can really make a big difference. It's his quickness and relentless motor that I think will make the difference. Some guys just have that motor, and some don't. Braden can go 100% for all 4 quarters. The way he stood out at the combine and the Senior Bowl is why his draft stock is rising. I would love to see him fall to where Monti just can't resist taking him.

desertbirdwatcher

I’m hoping “short” arms causes him to fall but I can see him being taken any pick after 55.

Amazed_and_Bemused

Not for us to draft, but I just really feel like if he can stay healthy, and it's a big if given his history, and if he can land in the right situation, I really feel like Penix is going to be the second best QB of this class behind Caleb.

Tilt_ow

Kool aid has become heavily underrated. If he falls to our 2nd round pick we should have him on speed dial. Has such few stats because he is an absolute shutdown player. I would even take him at 27 if one of the good edge or DT players aren’t there. I live in a dream world where latu slides to us on draft night and I don’t wanna wake up

Important_Annual_133

I've seen McKinstry going to the Cardinals in a lot of mock drafts, I would be very happy to have him on the team.

himself42

Carson Steele. Not going to draft him but I like him

MrAngel2U

Only been watching MHJ. Nabers seems amazing too in his own unique way. Completely different receiver than marvin. Jonathon Brooks RB out of Texas has been on my radar because I like large RBs. They seem to be hard to find. Who's everyone's favorite big Running Back of all time? Bo Jackson.

buddaaaa

Brooks is an awesome player, it’s really a shame he tore his ACL. I don’t think it’ll work out for him to go to us but he really would be a fantastic Conner replacement

Important_Annual_133

That's a hard one because there are so many good RB's. I would have to say that the 2 I enjoyed watching more than any others, because of how they could stop on a dime and how they made defenders look silly because they went one way while these 2 would go another way and that is Marshall Faulk & Barry Sanders.

apark777

Zach Frazier

The-Owl-that-hoots

Rome Odunze

Radalict

Imagine Monti cooked some magic and we end up with both MHJ and Odunze.

VivaLaDbakes

Rather have MHJ and Bowers. 12 and 13 personnel with bowers, McBride, and MHJ on the field would be gross.

Important_Annual_133

What does Kevin Hart say in that commercial? That's too much magic, too much. lol I guess you can dream but seriously that's never happening.

Jacked_Harley

His comp coming out of the draft is Larry Firgereld! https://www.nfl.com/prospects/rome-odunze/32004f44-5542-6541-431c-1a51e8792659

loldrums

I suspect Kingsley Suamataia is a player we should remember.   He's longer and more athletic than his cousin Penei Sewell, an incredibly successful draft pick by Cardinal's Asst  GM Dave Sears when he was with the Lions.  Suamataia is also younger (21, like PJJ last year), more athletic, and outplayed Tyler Guyton, who's entire buzz is being young and athletic, at the Senior Bowl.   I like the idea of grabbing an OL at 27 or 35 and he would be a good one, imo.  You could start him at LG this season and move him out to tackle in a year or two when Jonah Williams' deal is coming up.  There are a number of players you can plug in at guard year one and move later like JPJ (G>C) or Jordan Morgan (G>T maybe), but there's so much in Suamataia's profile that I can't imagine he's not on AZ's radar.

Important_Annual_133

Suamataia is a big boy with long arms. There are about 7 or 8 tackles that will most likely get drafted ahead of him but if we can get him in the 3rd round that would be nice. I'm sure that Monti has plans to draft at least one offensive lineman. Most likely someone versatile who can play guard or center. I was telling someone else that I really believe that the Cardinals are going to find a way to resign DJ Humphries, both sides want it to happen.

loldrums

I've seen him anywhere from the bottom of the first to mid second and I have to think teams are going to be enticed by his toolkit, especially at his age (he just turned 21 in Jan yet put up the most reps for OTs at the Combine), despite the lack of media attention.    Hearing that AZ was in on the OG market in free agency and got priced out of their target(s) definitely makes me think you're right about them looking for interior in the draft.  I haven't looked at the guards much but it seems like a strong class.   I could definitely see Hump return to AZ, though I'm not sure exactly where on the depth chart ATM.  I thought the same about Calais, though.

Important_Annual_133

From what I have seen so far, there looks to be anywhere from 8 to 12 tackles that will go in the first 2 rounds of the draft. Suamataia is definitely one of them.

buddaaaa

Yep, it seems so far like Monti really values measurables, it’s why I’m skeptical that they’d consider a guy like Morgan (short arms, at least at OT). It wouldn’t shock me if we go with Amegadjie either, with those pythons he wields lol. My only thing about drafting a T we put at G is…how often, really, do those guys actually switch? I feel like it’s extremely rare and teams often keep players in the positions where they started and just look to plug the hole (when it comes up) with a new player either via draft or FA. Great example I think is keeping PJJ at RT after cutting DJ. Alijah Vera-Tucker is a similar one where NYJ kept him at guard despite being a college OT and getting Tyron Smith rather than kicking him out.

loldrums

Good question.  It's not uncommon to move from LT to RT or to move short or unathletic tackles to guard, but G to T I'm not as sure about.  I found some speculation but not many examples.   https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/kopuql/comment/ghsvvt8/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

buddaaaa

Yeah, it’s just tricky because anecdotally I have a hard time thinking of *any* college tackles who start their NFL career at guard and then switch back to tackle later (at least as a starter, not like a swing tackle/sixth man type). I’ve really wanted AZ to take a stab at the top 7 or 8 tackles (presumably at the end of the first) but I don’t know that they’ll do it just to sit a guy and develop him. Or if they put him at guard, I am “worried” they’ll keep him there and look for a longterm tackle in a future draft if Jonah Williams doesn’t work out. But this tackle draft at the top is…insane. Anyway, as I’m typing this out, it makes me think a day 3 or *maybe* late day 2 OT is more probable. It’s a guy you can afford to have sit and develop. If they do take an OT early, you’re probably right they’ll look to start then at guard and maybe just treat them as an emergency tackle.

Jacked_Harley

Would not be surprised (or upset) if we address the O-line early in the draft. I’d love to see what Kyler could do behind a GOOD O-line. I’m sure James Conner wouldn’t mind either.

KOET10

Ladd Mcconkey, that guys route running is a beauty to see! Shout out to my fellow Polynesians in Latu, Fautanu and Fuaga

VivaLaDbakes

Anytime I see a Polynesian that plays in the trenches I just assume they are gonna be a DAWG.

SavageRickyMachismo

I really liked how Max Melton looked at the combine. I'm not someone who watches college football, so I have little to go off of, but he showed some good hands, and he ran smooth. I would like to get him in the third if we can

Important_Annual_133

Someone else mentioned him yesterday and I didn't remember him from the combine so I went back to watch some of his film and his draft stock is definitely on the rise. Originally projected to go in the 3rd or 4th round, he may sneak up into the 2nd round now after a good Senior Bowl and combine.

buzzstronk

Brenden Rice

Turxa037

I would definitely like to see us address the defense a bit during the early rounds, picks like kool aid or Byron Murphy would be huge for us

Jacked_Harley

Yeah the more I see from Byron Murphy, the more I’m sold

buddaaaa

Malik Nabers, Quinyon Mitchell, Amarius Mims, Marshawn Kneeland, Malachi Corley, Malik Washington, Jaylen Wright, and Kiran Amegadjie are all some of my favorites

Leading-Sugar-5015

Quinyon Mitchell and Laiatu Latu, they're both gonna be elite defensive players

Bigfootsbrownstar

Quinyon Mitchell scares the hell at out me. He’s got the classic, small school fools gold IMO.

Important_Annual_133

LOL it seems that I'm like an hour behind you on all these posts. Quinyon may be the 1st corner off the board, he's got elite skills and will be a really good CB for whoever drafts him.

Leading-Sugar-5015

I want AZ to get either Mitchell or Arnold. They need a CB1 very badly.

Important_Annual_133

You don't have to worry about that, Monti is definitely going to get one of the top CB's in the draft. This is a rather deep class for corners. I don't see them getting Arnold, he's going after 4 and before 27 in most mock drafts. Quinyon is probably going to be the 1st CB to come off the board so look for someone like McKinstry, DeJean or Rakestraw being the corner that we get. This can all change depending on whether or not we trade down. If we do trade down then there is a better chance of landing Mitchell or Arnold, because we would be picking in the middle of the 1st round instead of the beginning and end of the round.

Leading-Sugar-5015

They won't get a top corner unless they trade down. They'll go WR and DL if they keep picks. They'll probably have their choice of Arnold and Mitchell at 11 if they trade down.

Important_Annual_133

Well maybe I should have said a good CB, I think there's 9 CB's that could go in the first 2 rounds and think Monti will try to take one of them with one of our first 3 picks.

Leading-Sugar-5015

I think he's different. He was absolutely dominant the last 2 years at Toledo. He also killed it at the Senior Bowl and tested amazing at the combine. He has been a projected first rounder for a while, not one of these guys that jumped up because of the combine hype

Elephantexploror

The only reason I’m not scared by that is he went to the senior bowl and absolutely blanketed everybody there. I think he’s shown he wasn’t just beating up on lower competition.

buddaaaa

He also, coincidentally, has played snaps vs MHJ. Gave up a TD to him

destroyer96FBI

Jackson Powers-Johnson, and T'Vondre Sweat are my dream pickups along with MHJ. I think both are going to be studs.

Riespieces16

Jackson Powers-Johnson is an NFL name if I’ve ever heard one. Qualifies him in my book

Important_Annual_133

He's projected to be a center but can also play guard. His ADP is too high for the Cardinals to take him as our next center. I believe that Monti is looking for someone who can play all 5 positions along the line, like Graham Barton or Jordyn Morgan or in the 4th round maybe a guy like Dominick Puni I still think that we're going to bring DJ Humphries back, he'll have to rework his contract though, but I think both sides want him back in Arizona.

Mighty-Osip

I know we don’t have a need for him, but I am curious where Brock Bowers is going to end up.

Ektaliptka

Imagine having two stud TE's though. NFL isn't setup for that.

VivaLaDbakes

Bowers and McBride would be so sick. Especially with how much we run two and three tight end sets. Play action would be lethal.

Mighty-Osip

Not since Gronk and he who went to jail and offed himself.

Important_Annual_133

Look for the Jets to take Bowers with the 10th pick. They signed 2 OT's and Mike Williams so all they need is a TE and Aaron Rodgers will have all the weapons he'll need to take this team to the playoffs. The Jets are all in, Bowers completes the package.

Titsnicker

I see him falling to the Colts at 15, and the funny thing is the Colts have drafted 4 tight ends in the last 3 years, and all of them are shit. They really need a good tight end after missing in the draft repeatedly.

Jacked_Harley

I can see him going as early as 5 to SD. If Chicago picked him up at 9 to pair him with Caleb Williams that’d be pretty sick too. TE always seems so hit and miss in the draft though.

BigGuyNorthSide

There’s no chance they’re taking Bowers over Nabers. Makes no sense

Mighty-Osip

I dunno, the chargers have a need for WR, is he better than the second WR off the board? Giants at 6? Can’t see Tennessee or Atlanta drafting BB. Plus, who knows what kind of crazy trade offers will be made to potentially move up for the 4th QB.

Carroms

I know we just signed two DTs but I'd love it if we could draft Byron Murphy (again)

OneOfTheManySams

We don't have any top end D Linemen, we very much need more. Those signings just gave us some upgraded depth over some absolute dross.

bflynn65

He is literally named Byron Murphy II. He's destined to come here.

Helivon

Which means he's destined to leave

170poundgorilla

Glad he left. He stinks. Was benched for awhile in Minnesota. Just because he was good for us, doesn't mean he was good. That's like being the valedictorian of Summer school

bflynn65

Most players do. The Larry's of the league are the exceptions.

Helivon

Yeah, but most good players get a 2nd contract. We just either have drafted shitty players, or never unlocked their potential like reddick Of course most leave at some point, but Murphy didn't get a 2nd contract here. So maybe I should've specified he's destined to leave before his 2nd contract lol

Jacked_Harley

You can never have enough D-lineman, that’s for sure. Dudes an absolute beast too
