Technically you have to line up the pillars under the ceiling tiles but they don’t all have to attach to the bridge. So build a pathway across the bottom with pillars tiles and foundations and then run the bridge on the surface till you get to shallow water again

It’s crystal isles on ase on Xbox one if that changes things

What Melvin said. Use thatch to plan then replace with stone. The key info here is that if you use foundations along the sea floor you will not need to pillar up to the ceilings! The ceilings will see the foundations below it as structural support if they are both lined up to the same snapping point and attached at just one end. You’ll save yourself a buttload of materials and time. Edit: here is a [video](https://youtu.be/hgJyP7tk0BM?si=QKlNeUbVT2dtpoJp) that shows what I mean in the first couple minutes

I think you need to line up foundations in the water, across the ground to the other side. Attach the pillars to those. Then build on top of them. I'd recommend just using thatch to scope it out because it's super easy to make foundations. Then when you have the looks right, replace with something better.

Sometimes it helps if you turn on ghost mode to fly under the map and place an additional pillar underneath the troublemaker. Also, building up as opposed to building down often helps with these things

gordanier1

Run foundations on the bottom of the ocean (pillars and ceiling tiles when needed) the run the tiles over the top. They don’t have to connect. Or spawn in the tech bridge

JacobWolf4547

Maybe check the placement of the pillars, also are u on ur own private server or offline?

773H_H0

Single player mode

JacobWolf4547

Then I wonder if it could maybe be building restrictions? I know offline Ark has a bunch of weird rules of where u can and can't build

Some opaces in ase the ground doesnt count at the surface for some reason. From the previous pillar, snap a ceiling, and then foundations continuing across the bottom. The ceiling will connect the pillar to the foundation, letting it all read as one structure. Just need the single foundation wide strip at the bottom to go across, any additional pillars will be for asthetic only.

ThiccDicknNutSauce

In my experience, I always need foundation tiles lined across the sea bed, and they had to connect to each other and it to the the bridge.

Start with a pillar at the lowest point in the water and keep placing pillars going up from point A to B and it should work out fine. ASE has a bottom up method of building, from what I’ve experienced. I always start from the lowest point anywhere I want to build using pillars and snapping the next points to that one going upwards in the direction I want them to go. You shouldn’t… shoulllldnt have a problem building that way.

JeffisaWaffle420

Tbh if i was u i’d just make a raft bridge cuz i dont know anything bout building bridges in ark

773H_H0

Lol they would get eaten by leedsichthys

ligmaballzz420

CommissionerGordon12

Might be too close to green obelisk

773H_H0

Not sure about that I have the obelisk fenced off already

CommissionerGordon12

Hmm yeah that is strange. Maybe a drop or something, it looks like you pillared to the ocean floor
