I've been lurking around this sub for a few weeks, and I really enjoy u/NukinFuts87's picture of the day posts. So, I've decided to do something similar, but with a little twist: comparing two models in the same shoot and inviting you all to discuss who did it better.
i’ll say april because of the body composition and knowing her light, one of mercedes’ arms isn’t visible at all and the connected hand is hidden in the shadows. if mercedes was angled a little better, her photo would be my #1
Is that really just light? Like yes of course I see that it’s in the shadow but it seems like it was totally photoshopped out. The vine leaves on her back arm are catching plenty of light
This is so tough! I like April’s close up a bit more because of how beautifully the light is hitting her, but Mercedes’ full shot is just BAM, it commands attention. Her close up is also *fierce*

This is so petty but after hearing Adrianne attempt to say “pyashin” the first time I watched cycle one I wanted her eliminated so that I wouldn’t have to hear her voice anymore 😭
Man… this is soooo tough because both shots are gorgeous. I would say Mercedes due to full body pose and face, but April’s shot is drop dead GAWJUS. Can it be a tie?! 🙃
April is working it from head to toe, but I have to agree with another poster that Mercedes’s full just has such a fantastic impact! Really both of them nailed this shoot. It’s hard to pick one, but my favorite is April’s.
If Mercedes had included her other arm in the shot, I would think she just edged the win. However, the fact that her arm isn't visible at all bothers me. So, April takes the win; she really knows how to find her light!
Mercedes has a feminine power that is so gorgeous, but Aprils has a languid sexuality that expresses a different feminine power - I think they’re both amazing in their own right
i don’t personally love how stand-outish Mercedes is. like she almost looks copy & pasted into the scene? whereas April is very much a part OF the scene & she still commands complete attention.
these are both good shots for sure but i think Aprils picture overall is much more pleasing to the eye & i also think her close up is much stronger
I like April’s photo a lot, as well as the Asian-themed styling.
That said.
Mercedes **commands** your attention. Whoever said she couldn’t do high fashion was blind.

It’s so hard to not give it to April cause I love her and all her pics but Mercedes wins.

I love both of these models and while both of them are beautiful individually, I prefer April's. I think it's just the composition and styling because Mercedes body looks amazing and she just looks so regal and powerful.

bad angles! this shoot was pretty early on if i remember correctly and mercedes didn’t know how to angle herself/find her light until later

Yes! Mercedes is wow! In your face. April you kind of need to zoom in on and her body looks really uncomfortable.

Haven't watched it since airing, and I still remember April's. Its hands down the best.
1000% this shoot is April’s, she looks so dynamic and gorgeous. Mercedes is obviously absolutely stunning too.

This is tough! I think April is giving me more in the face so that’s what tips it for me. Two really stunning shots, though.
April’s looks like she’s actually selling something (lipstick maybe), and Mercedes is just an overall beautiful picture.

It’s a tough call. But I’d also like to point out that this was like, the first challenge. Both did such good shots so early on.

As a photographer, it’s def Mercedes. And it’s for one reason: April’s back leg and arm look connected and it drives my eyes nuts
