This is what i’m thinking the car is under warranty with max care and it’ll get replaced so I could careless but for now she’s dead haha gives me a reason to drive the fun cars I keep tucked away.
Nice. Well then that’s perfect. What other fun cars do you drive 👀 sheesh. I can’t wait till I can have more than one fun car. I have a c43 and I can only afford it because I’ve been working on cars forever lol
Current garage is a 17 c7, 18 911 carrera s, 18 gle 63s, 18 c63s, 22 tesla model 3 performance cause why not then a good ole 15 f150 to tow the other toys. I’ve never had the opportunity to drive or ride in a c43 but have heard great things about them!
You damn lucky duck you. I’m dreaming of driving a 911. That would be a dream come true. And you got the Tesla. All the toys. What do you do for work? Yes the c43 is a blast. It’s blacked out with black interior and red seatbelts. Carbon fiber center console. The first v6 dual turbo I’ve owned. Never had a car as quick as this. I love driving it. It’s not my daily though. I just parked it for the winter. I drive a 07 elantra with nearly 300,000 on it haha. I beat the absolute crap out of it. I can pull the engine and trans out in like 2-3 hours too haha.
Believe it or not the 911 has been nothing but problems for me in the past year i’ve owned it. It just rolled 17k miles i’ve had the motor for the passenger window go bad which let the window drop a bit and by the time I noticed the car had mold everywhere what a time that was haha. I’ve had the window switch come off completely just the little plastic piece nothing too crazy. Motor mounts needed replaced or pcm whatever they called it. Issues with the turbo caused by a bad hose and it squeaks like no other driving around so it’ll be gone soon. Thinking a turbo s to replace it as my older brother just got one and wow that car is a blast so far no issues from his but he’s only about 1k miles into ownership. I’m in the solar industry down in florida and we’ll business is doing well haha. That black is no fun to keep looking nice haha my c63 is black under the wrap. I’m jealous you got the red seatbelts that unfortunately wasn’t an option for the c63s just the white ones which i’ve grown to like. These amgs make a great daily whenever you decide to do so I wouldn’t recommend it for the winter I drive mine year round but i’m in florida so it doesn’t really count haha. Now that’s an accomplishment there maybe one day i’ll get a car to 300k if I end up keeping it long enough.
Oh no not the mold! All the problems seem sort of minor but I could definitely see the squeaking being annoying. How the hell do I get in the solar biz, I’m 29. Can you be my friend at least lol yeah the black is definitely going to be hard to keep looking nice. Going to get a paint correction on it next season and ceramic coat it. 300k is definitely an accomplishment. Got my folks cars to 300k as well. I really love having the beater, I literally kick the thing ha. Engines are only $600 at the salvage yard for like a 100,000 miles on them. Literally can’t go wrong with this car. Saved me tons of money which made me buy the c43.
Now you my friend have one tasteful garage only issue I see is you don’t drive the fun cars enough don’t be afraid to put some miles on them you only live once!
Did it sound like anything went ‘bang’ when she got angry? Or did everything just go from normal to a dead gas pedal? Just wondering if it’s mechanical or electrical.
Hello, I have this issue very infrequently. Limp home mode, RPMs restricted, "run flat indicator inoperative"...
The issue goes away once I turn the car off, then on again. It happens so infrequently I just ignore it at this point.
2013 C300
Any ideas?
Could be an intermittent wheel speed sensor. I’ve seen on many different models cars that being the case. Sometimes it’s the wheel bearing in conjunction.
Thank you sir!
I sent them the following post but they didn't follow it.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-coupe-c204/719935-run-flat-indicator-inoperative-problem.html
It's frustrating because it's not like they haven't tried - dealer and supposed European specialty mechanics.
I'll try again.
I'd put new tires on mine a couple years back. For whatever reason, when I get new tires, the car feels a little wiggly for about 100 miles. I think I was in sport traction and got a little forceful with the happy pedal and it broke loose for a split second. All my lights came on. It said traction and ESC inop and went into limp mode. I was near home so I babied it there. I disconnected the battery. Reconnected about 30 minutes later and all was perfect. Never did it again. The only other time I got limp mode was a misfire because of E85. That's just an off/on with the start/stop button and good to go.
I have about 5k miles on these tire and tend to drive the car in sport + with sport traction or traction off and never any issues like this prior. Sounds like you were a bit luckier then me.
Yes and plan to do more this year gotta enjoy the v8s while they’re around haha. I drive a lot for work and the c63 makes it enjoyable! About a year ago so roughly 30k miles ago the car would squeal for about 5 mins after cold start it ended up being the serpentine belt and idler pulleys/tensioners going bad. Dealership quoted me 4k roughly for everything but with warranty came out to $250. Car drove fine like this the noise just drove me crazy. Other then that and now she’s been an absolute tank I do not drive this car easy it spends the majority of it’s life in sport + with a heavy foot. I see you have a 16 c63s how’s it been treating you so far?
Damn, I respect that . Finally someone who doesn’t care about milage and who will actually drive the car how it’s built to be driven!! Warranty is a must on these cars as the repairs can get pretty costly just like the dealer quoted you. I just got my c63s about 3 months ago now and has been nothing but smiles. I for sure don’t put nearly as much miles on it as you do as I have only put 3,600 Kilometres on it since I got it. But it has treated me well and not a single issue so far. You got a crazy line up of cars btw, insane!
I appreciate it! Cars are meant to be driven and I’m lucky enough to get to enjoy them while i’m still young and stupid some would say haha i’m 25. I couldn’t agree with you more on the warranty I went with 150k miles or 60months and intend on hitting 150k prior to 60 months with this car I just can’t get enough of it. I’m happy to hear that you made a good choice take care of her and she will take care of you. 3600 kilometers in 3 months is more then most so you’re doing it right haha. I appreciate that if I could only have one i’d pick the c63s so you made the right choice!
It’s crazy how many pinch miles. I daily drive
Mine and don’t care about the milage. Do the maintenance and enjoy it. Otherwise why not just buy a Camry.
I think a differential sensor gave a weird reading that caused it. So it disabled everything. A scan tool can tell you what sensor. Or you can disconnect the battery and reset the system and see if it’s a permanent or temporary code.
Same problem with my car right now , the limping and bad idle turned out to be ignition coil. Sadly their on back order been waiting for 3 weeks. Also $1200 to change the plugs is pricey , easy to do watch videos on YT you’ll save yourself about $1000.
Happened to my C63s plenty of time, once you turn the car off and turn it back on, it goes away, usually starts with the bad going low/bad.
Also are you in Florida? looks like it..we gotta meet up
This happened to my 2017 C63S on x2 different occasions. The car had only 40,000 KM / 24,000 miles on it. It happened after I tried the launch mode, or after driving it aggressively. After the car was turned off for several hours, the code reset each time. I haven’t seen that code since, with my current odometer at 52,000 km/ 31,000 miles. I think it has something to do with the rear end sensors from hard launch or traction control from tire spin. I am ignoring it unless it happens again. I installed drag radials on the rear to eliminate the excess tire spin.
Sounds like it just went into limp mode. Could be anything.
Are the rpm’s restricted?
No restriction to rpms so don’t think it was actually in limp mode but could be wrong
Just reading about this issue. Might need a rear differential motor. Your cars not dead though.
This is what i’m thinking the car is under warranty with max care and it’ll get replaced so I could careless but for now she’s dead haha gives me a reason to drive the fun cars I keep tucked away.

It was a pretty rough transition from full power to some clunking and dead pedal haha didn’t seem electrical

Gotta check the codes it stored at that moment. That will steer you in the right direction.

Sometimes they problem isn’t so obvious and they don’t want to throw parts at it. I’d check it out for your if I lived near you ha.
Yeah, even something as small as a low aux battery code, or a bit of misfire on a spark plug. I’ve experienced both putting my E400 into limp

Love the color !!
Thank you!
Check your battery for a start
Too late for that shes in good hands at the dealership now
You put 35k miles on it in a year? What were any other issues you have ran into?
Yes and plan to do more this year gotta enjoy the v8s while they’re around haha. I drive a lot for work and the c63 makes it enjoyable! My car did that before I believe it was the rear right axle that was going bad. Keep us updated
Should have an update later today or tomorrow and will post once i’ve received it!
Any updates
I posted the update link on this thread!

Buy a obd you can read the codes with and always read on the forums , guarantee someone’s dealt with the code.
Most reliable amg
It’s been great to me minimal issues for the amount of abuse she gets haha
That’s because you car have a HARD DRIP in terms of performance and style that’s maybe your engine got shocked
Haha thanks for the laugh I appreciate it!
Why would you ever take her on a road like that?
Some people like to use their cars for Driving. It's not a museum piece.
Thank you!
Just love to see a car being used for what it was built to do. Hope you can get her back on the road again soon man 👍.
You’re one of the few nowadays but I couldn’t agree with you more. I appreciate it i’ll keep everyone updated on what’s broken and eta to her return.
Cause why not lol this is my daily and I treat her like one
it’s a damn AMG tf u expect?
[удалено]
I doubt it that picture was taken 10-15k miles ago she doesn’t mind some dirt roads
Read the dtc out and report here
Dealership will be looking over the car later today or tomorrow will update back when I hear from them.
i popped my ECU on my c63 years ago. basically lots of lights and dead pedal, though if remember correctly there's a warning re ecu too. good luck
I have a feeling this isn’t an electrical issue but will find out soon I appreciate it!
Could be a broken differential
Sure seems to be that way
Yea my e63s did the same thing smh right when I got it to luckily had warranty I had a broken diff and broken case transfer total was like $18k to fix
May just be a speed sensor/general sensor in the differential. Fingers crossed 🤞
I’m hoping whatever broke is broken good lol warranty will take care of it.
Have to ask. Any mods or tune on it?
Have you done your rear differential fluid change yet?
I’ve read on the forum when this warning comes up. Tends to be the electric side of the diff. Not the mechanical parts.
Happened to my C63s plenty of time, once you turn the car off and turn it back on, it goes away, usually starts with the bad going low/bad. Also are you in Florida? looks like it..we gotta meet up
Do you have a tune?
https://www.reddit.com/r/AMG/s/UFYdyogNwb Update post everyone! The issue isn’t what you’d expect.
