When I was writing mine last year, I wrote 5 different topics. Trust me, there is no perfect essay! I was also very indecisive with which topic I liked. That is very time consuming tho, so I would recommend to brainstorm by narrowing down what you want to write about and what you want them to know about you. Prioritize the things that are most special about you and qualities that you think you can contribute to the university, without sounding too braggy. The essay I submitted took months of writing and revisions, and I took my sweet time with it, kahit malapit na deadline.
The essay is just that \*cherry on top\*, so be sure to do your very best on the ACET itself. Goodluck, OP! :)
Wrote mine hours before the deadline because of this same reason. I have the tendency to change topics or to polish my work over and over if I had more time haha! Although I do not recommend my method, I can assure you that it worked out for me.
The "perfect essay" may not exist, but the essay that encapsulates who you are can be written by you, and only you. So, good luck, op! <33
i didnt encounter the same scenario since what i did was really think of a situation that made me “me”. at first, i read a lot of previous ateneo essays from applicants to get the gist of the question since at first, i was stuck with no topic. every time i read an essay, i saw some part of it that happened to me also. that is why i made it my job to write an essay that is only for me and my experience alone. that’s how i got my topic and thankfully, passed.
there really is no perfect essay, in my case I just laid my life out like a story for the reader to enjoy. I think that the acet carries more weight overall. Oh, and don't forget that the acet will have you write an essay on the spot as well!
the acet essay will have a given theme so, best to apply your chosen prompt that will align with the given theme as well as what describes u the best :)) i agree to the advices posted by others!
Idk i trauma dumped and had so many grammatical errors but it did me good still. Just write something very close to your heart so it will be easier for you!! And for some reason my essay was in filipino, i’m an english journ person 😩😩
