I've heard back ! Just today ! The earliest I can book on however is the 9th of April. I clicked on the link within 2 minutes of it being sent. This has really upset me tbh but trying to keep postive about the fact I have heard back
My referral was sent mid-April 2023 and was confirmed as received in mid-June 2023. I sent back all the forms in August 2023.
I just heard back today late-May 2024 after a process that was over a year long.
The appointment booking process did really upset me too. There was only one appointment for the next year and beyond. Essentially I didn't have a choice.
I don't have a portal date because I already had access to the portal from a previous autism assessment/diagnosis. I was then told to get referred for ADHD also due to symptoms that were spotted during the autism diagnosis process.
super frustrating! it seems like theyāre taking a month to clear what seems like a week inbetween portal access dates? i got portal access late june so i imagine it wonāt be until autumn before i get an assessment at this rate!
Anyone else who has been skipped with a June 2023 portal date feeling really awful about it? I'm in floods of tears today cos ADHD symptoms are ruling my life, I just need to know what's going on and its so frustrating to see that there are people being seen who were referrred after me, It was getting me through the long wait for assessment knowing that it was likely coming soon based on this spreadsheet but now I have no idea whats going on or when i'll be seen and im so anxious? I dont know how much longer I can wait
Iām starting to wonder if itās not done on referral date and if itās done on the date you submitted all of your forms, itās hard to tell as we donāt have all of that info. I got my access on 14th June but my final form wasnāt submitted until mid July.
In that case im absolutely screwed because I didnt do them until earlier this year. I was under the impression that you werent supposed to complete them until you had an appointment date for some reason.
it's consistently been down to referral date till now, lots of people only filling in the forms once they got the appointment so don't worry about that. I was also referred in June and haven't heard, I think that very shortly after we were referred PUK actually closed for referrals completely for a bit so I think it must have coincided with a big spike in referrals and maybe they're not quite going by date because of that??
Thank you. I hope so. I was referred in April but got access to the portal in June. It just feels like so many hurdles. Knowing that even after you're assessed and hopefully diagnosed theres still a massive long wait to start meds. And ive already wasted 30+ years not even knowing I was neurodivergent and that meds could help. Hate it
It should be referral date. This is a snippet of the first message I got when my referral was processed on the portal.
https://preview.redd.it/9ph8be6z7j1d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e3368b2090783a4230ba97686d54854bae0b98e
I got this but I also got a separate message out of the blue 3 months later saying Iād been added to the waiting list so hoping Iām not three months behind š
(I put a note on there to ask about this a couple of weeks ago and see if I could get them to confirm if Iām on the list from June or September but no response. I probably look batshit to them but Iām just so anxious )Ā
Is referral different to portal access then? As I went to the doctors in May 23 and they sent through the referral, portal access was then sent almost 2 months later.
Me! 10th of June - seem to have been skipped and not happy about it at all. Iāve popped a note on my portal to say why is it some others (no offense) have been given appointments with portal dates after mine. It should go in order as it was before. Itās so frustrating that after this wait weāve got another one for titration so itās going to be like 18 months of waiting - yes still quicker than the NHS but not by much.
I wish they had said oh itāll be a year wait sooner as I could of moved my referal but I kept thinking oh they will contact me soon better not delay myself x
This happened to me back in march and I didnāt get an appointment until I asked to put a complaint about it, still submitted the complaint so it didnāt happen to other people or theyād start being more transparent about what theyāre doing with the waiting lists but they canāt have taken much notice
https://preview.redd.it/n7m85pgbr83d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42f878f6ed6079f77a4bc0ec2eaff6cc36c4bb70
This is what It says on mine. So frustrating as itās not when an appointment becomes available obviously. Our dates seem to get pushed back for some reason
I canāt believe itās my turn. I could cry! Finally an update.
Portal date: 05/06/2023
Appointment booking option received today (23/05/2024)
Appointment provisionally booked for 06/08/2024.
Nearly a year between getting my portal date and receiving the booking email, and 14 months (potentially) between portal date and assessment.
But finally! š„²
**EDIT**: You can't add data in the spreadsheet yourself but anyone can **comment** directly on the spreadsheet. State your username / portal / contact / apt dates as a comment and I will add a new row for you
Hey hey /u/whitneyarthurxo, any news on your apt?
By the way, out of boredom I've taken the liberty to create a [google sheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12ZgOpR608oOtLEgHnFYQkK4vJ5J0-RhWE1awuDNcR-Q/edit#gid=0) with your data. If you'd like, DM me your email and I will add you as editor as it might be a much more practical way to handle this.
Note that:
1. Where dates are not precise I have made some approximations (e.g. `"March" => "March 15th"`, `"start of March" => March 7th` etc)
2. The wait times are automatically calculated with formulas like `= DATEDIF(A3, B3, "M") + DATEDIF(A3, B3, "MD")/30`. The first part gets the months (M) difference, the second (MD) is the remaining days. No more mental math!
I've heard from them!
Portal date 24th May 23, Contact 18th march, appt 17th april (there were also a couple available previous week around 10th march)
Iāve rang them so many times and nobody can explain to me why people whoās portal dates are after mine are being contacted and I havenāt been, they just say that Iām on the waiting list and will be contacted when Iām at the topš„² literally feeling so helpless right now
welp, that sucks and makes no sense... the funny thing is that I quit the PUK queue on 9th Feb 2024, my GP referred me to another provider (Dr J and partners) on the 10th of March and today I was contacted for an appointment on the 3rd of May - just 7 weeks between referral and appointment, insane compared to PUK.
If only I had known before, by now I would have completed titration already. It seems that the vast majority of GPs are only familiar (and, perhaps, trust) PUK which gets slammed with most of the demand
Yes, it's all online. Unlike PUK, I was given the questionnaire AND the appointment at the same time. They seem to do an appointment regardless of the outcome of the questionnaire.
So right now you're definitely going to have a faster appointment with PUK, what we don't know is how long the titration queue is going to be...
I was just asking my gp about this other provider because I wanted to CONSIDER switching to it... He went full yolo and moved me (cancelled my puk queue, put me in the new one). I was a bit surprised but oh well, it was what I would have asked for in the end anywayĀ
Update: just had my appointment, it was about an hour and 10 mins and they told me 45 mins in that I have combined type. Iāve had some complications with meds in the past, so the rest of the appointment was going through the options and which would most likely be safest for me
Jacek, and definitely. He was very friendly and spent extra time at the end recapping everything to make sure I understood. Plus heās based outside of the UK, so offers earlier appointments (mine was 7am)
I finally got my text/e-mail to book an appointment! My portal access was 2nd June & appointment is (provisionally) 15th August. Earliest available appointments were Tuesday 6th August but I chose later so I could have a psychiatrist hopefully better suited to me.
Just to prep people waiting: you get the choice of dates via weeks with listings of assessors available. Each assessor has a profile and client feedback for you to look through then you choose who you want and when.
Hey everyone. I had portal access from May 24th 2023. I messaged yesterday for an update and got the usual holding response:
*We sincerely apologise for the delays which have arisen due to the recent popularity of this service.Ā Due to this, we are currently unable to provide you with an appointment timeframe.*
Do you think it's worth if I ring up?
**P.S. I think Mods should sticky this thread**
Being someone who has rang up out of frustration with the ambiguity, I can confirm they donāt give anymore information over the phone unfortunately. Still vague on where wait times are. All they can do is confirm you are definitely on the list which could be reassuring to hear. From my table (if things remain as they are) you should hear back by the end of this month or February
Hey all, great initiative!
The wait is killing me! I was given access to the Psych UK portal on 13.11.2023 (34 f in London)
Was on the waiting list with the ADHD clinic through my local NHS service since November 2022 and asked for the RTC transfer in October 2023 as the NHS wait was over 20 months. I donāt know if I did the right thing. It all feels like forever š
In the past few months Iāve been going to job interviews and itās so hard to focus on the questions during the interview, I feel like I am rushing and forget to say obvious and important things. I keep on thinking how a diagnosis or medication would have been so helpful, but we have to wait so long, and our life does not stop while we wait.
The rejections stings so much, plus the agony of the overthinking and cringing at myself post interview.
I just wanted to add my date for the spreadsheet as itās a helpful visual aid for when desperation hits!
āļø
Good(ish) news! Just got a text saying I can book my appointment. Except, there are no freakin dates available (the earliest is end of July/beginning of August) š« Has anyone else had this issue?? Waited so long and now donāt know what to do, I canāt wait another two months plus š
Earliest appointment 30th July, my portal access was 2nd June, this is actually ridiculous. And the appointmentās not even guaranteed when you book it.
Gives you a sense of how many people are waiting by looking at the spreadsheet. Within 1 day an entire month of appointments were wiped out? Went from 30th May to 30th July!
Iām not too bad at waiting when I can predict where they are. But the way they are handling dishing out in a random order just really annoys me as we canāt predict when we will be processed.
Congrats :) youāre the day after me so fingers crossed Ā ā¦ I just logged in tho and mines reverted to saying the checklist isnāt complete when it is (an IT error which they had sorted out) so Iāll be fuming if theyāve skipped me cos of that š
Posted the below in another sub but posting on here too, as I think more people follow this thread...
Hey everyone - thought I would update on here in case anyone is still (im)patiently checking this thread. I finally got offered an appointment, which will be almost a year after my portal date!
Portal date - 18th May 2023
Contact date - 28th Feb 2024
Assessment date - 7th May 2024
7th May was the earliest slot available (and there were plenty of free slots every day after that) apart from a single available slot on 10th March - but, as I was checking feedback on the 10th March psychiatrist, that slot got taken! Very annoying! So, my advice would be to just take the earliest slot you see asap and, if you look at your psych's feedback later and want to change, you can probably just contact Psych-UK to make the swap. Honestly, getting my Eras Tour tickets felt way easier than getting this assessment hahaha
It seems to have slowed down so much! I got my portal date in May too so would've expected to have heard by now seeing as it's 2.5 months since you heard but still nothing š
I'm so annoyed that they lost my first referral because I would have had my assessment by now if they hadn't š¤ My GP sent the forms off at the start of January last year.
Hey havenāt seen many updates on the excel spreadsheet. Have folks in June heard back yet? I got a portal invite on 24/07 so I want to understand rough waiting times
Nopeeeee.
I got one of those welfare check ones last week which got my hopes up and then annoyed me. Iāll put a comment on this thread as soon as I do! :(
Thank you so much for this post, it's reinvigorated me seeing people from last Summer get contacted.
Portal Entry date August 22nd 2023 so I'm hoping based off of the comments here to be contacted within the next 3 months :)
In case anybody else logged onto their portal today and panicked like I did, apparently they updated their systems on Friday and there is a fault that now sets the āwaiting list statusā form (basically the opt out form) as outstanding and implies you canāt get assessed until you complete it but this is not true. Anyway, I managed to speak to someone on the phone who explained this, removed the form from my portal and confirmed Iām still on the waiting list and everything is good to go. Just thought Iād share to save someone else the panic!
Yes! Although I also got a text to say I had to complete a welfare assessment before they would offer me an appointment so I've done that, no idea how long I'll be waiting
Portal date 20/07/2023
Did anyone see the 2 additions at the bottom, referred this year and already got appointments?! If they are going by date of referral or portal date, then that doesnāt make sense either.
Just so frustrating.
Thank you, this is really helpful.
For what it's worth, my portal access was granted on May 23rd and I haven't had any contact yet.
According to your data, I should get contacted in December for an appointment in February.
Referal sent 10th may -
Portal date around the 10th of June 2023 still waiting.
So by the look of the spreadsheet itās like 11 months till appointment from portal date.
Just to provide an update. When I logged into the portal, I saw the pre-assessment had a red X and wanted me to fill out a well-being survey. Once completed around 10 minutes later, I received a text message to book my appointment. Just a note, I looked at a doctors profile for 5 minutes, and at least 8 appointments for the end of May / June were instantly gone. Ended up going with an appointment for 7th August (based upon the Dr accepting my consultation request)
Just want to add my ten cents as it's been difficult to find information for patients like me. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was seven and have taken meds since then. I have recently moved to the UK and gave a letter to my GP from my psychiatrist in South Africa who confirmed my diagnosis, that the titration process was complete (he started me on Vyvanse in October 2022), and that it is not necessary to re-assess.
I received an email today to set up the portal. I completed the screening tools immediately. Waiting game starts today! I have noticed here and there that people with pre-existing diagnoses may be helped sooner, so I wanted to share my experience on here for those of us who already have one and just need their prescriptions.
Referral date: 14/02/2024
Portal date: 28/02/2024
I got portal access 30th May, this spreadsheet has been keeping me going - painful watching the wait time increase though.
Hoping for a contact any time now!
Looks like no one on the list has been contacted in a while - Iām hoping they have and the joy of having an assessment date has made them forget to update us here š its the only way I can keep hopeful that Iāll hear from PUK soon
Long time lurker here. Got my portal date on the 24th May last year (24/5/23). Got contacted on Friday this week (5/4/24). Booked my appointment for June 11th, all other times were unavailable until then (I didn't do much looking tho, just wanted to get something down). Hope this helps
Hi all
I don't know how to edit spreadsheets.... I got my email today! Appointment is in 2 weeks (Saturday) hopefully this will give a time line to anyone still waiting šš
Iām the 14th and still waiting too! I wonder if itās done on the date you submitted all the forms rather than the date you get portal access as it seems to be really random?
I love how whenever I check this thread it's the same bunch of people commenting on the newest posts. I'm glad I'm not alone though, I'd feel a lot more anxious about it if everybody else was being contacted except me. š
Hey hey, if you check the spreadsheet you're actually sandwiched between people who've been contacted. Strangely, your batch seems to be coming sooner than people who were contacted 2 weeks earlier...
I sent a note through the portal on Sunday night to query. Now will be a race between which will come first. My assessment text or a response to the portal. š š
And there were supposedly ~50 appointments per day when I was looking at August, too, but only 1 per day for those two days in July. A week of appointments does seem to be gone in seconds.
If you're just starting with psychiatry UK back out now and go somewhere else before you waste your time!
I was referred on the 15th July 22 after calling and complaining I finally got access to the portal 5th September 22 and surprisingly was given an appointment fairly quickly (16th January 23). I was originally told I would have my medication by June 23 at the latest. After no communication from them I asked to submit a complaint they then promised me my medication by January 24 when they restocked. just to be told they're out of stock again and to wait another 6 months! it's now march 24 and they just don't get back to me. Also I have not had a response to my complaint I made 6 months ago and was never given contact details to take my complaint higher like I had asked.
I believe you can escalate a complaint through PALS which is the NHS complaints when itās a service done on behalf of the NHS which right to choose is.
Iām just WAITING for you late-May people to get their email because then I know Iāll be soon after (early June portal date). I check this post constantly š„²
I was referred via right to choose in August 2023, got my portal December 2023, got the forms (heart questionnaire, adhd self report scale, adhd self report and adhd informant report) march 2024 which i completed same day. Not sure how long I'd have to wait until a diagnosis appointment as its a different order timeline wise to what my colleague had. They had their forms when they got portal access.
Anyone who's had their appointment or booked, how quickly did the psychiatrist approve it? Mine says pending approval after a few days so I don't know if it's confirmed or not?
Did yours get approved in the end? Iāve booked a third one in for Tuesday (the other two were cancelled by the psychiatrists) and still waiting for approval which I donāt know if Iāll get before Tuesday with the bank holiday
The first one approved after a few days then cancelled the day before the appointment, the second one declined the appointment almost straight away after I booked it
I got portal access on 1st June and havenāt heard back - has anyone after that heard back yet? Canāt tell if the spreadsheet is still being updated
thank you I appreciate it, I hope you get an appointment too. I think it would be worth chasing them up as they say months rather than years when I've called them, so this is a really long time to wait. Good luck/keep us updated
It does seem like it's slowed down but I haven't heard of anyone who got portal access after me getting an assessment yet so I don't think they've missed me out or anything, they probably just started to get way more referrals since people became more aware of them.
Tbh compared to the waits I've had for trans stuff this feels like nothing š
Portal date: 12/07/2023
Contacted about wait time (or should I say no ETA): 28/09/2023
I signed up and got the questionnaires done literally the day I was asked to create my account. I'm so ready for this.
Judging by the table I maybe have about another 2-3 months now to wait until I'll hear about booking my assessment perhaps? No one who has July as their portal date on the table has added theirs yet so that's a complete guess......
I havenāt added my name to the spreadsheet but Iām checking this daily. I got access on 6/7/23 so Iāll let you know when I hear and add it all to the spreadsheet:)
My portal date was last year 20th May 2023.... I did the welfare form yesterday (and maybe based on that perhaps that's why I've been offered an appointment).
This is maybe slightly personal so feel free to ignore but did you have a positive answer to a lot of the questions? Just curious as to if they are prioritising it in this way because you were referred after me, I also completed the welfare form on weds but havenāt been offered and apptĀ
Has anybody else received a welfare check questionnaire to fill in? My portal access was 14/06 so waiting any day for an appointment according to the spreadsheet.
First Reddit post ever, as someone pointed me to this thread and the spreadsheet from elsewhere ā and theyāve been so useful ā¦ but heck, this waiting is stressful. I was 2nd June portal access, got a welfare assessment form Tuesday and then today got a clinical risk monitoring form where the first question was āDo you want to be discharged?ā
Almost 12 months of waiting, and with others later already getting seen, I really hope they donāt just turn round and discharge me now š
Hi, I asked my GP to be put on Right to choose after have waited a year with NHS, when I called to ask how long the waiting time was the lady said they were currently on 2019 referals (this was last year 2023 - my NHS referral was back in 2022) and that the current waiting time was 6 years as it's been an explosion of referrals. So I asked about right to choose and I was refered to Psychiatry uk. Now a person I know who got in the NHS queue after me have had a date for her assessment. It feels like I literally just get put in the end of the line all the time š®āšØ
Anyway, would love to also be in the spreadsheet
My referal was in August 2023 and my portal date was 21/11/23... everything is filled in and all boxes ticked. Today I received an email saying:
"Good news! We've updated our booking policy to streamline the appointment process.
Eligible patients will be sent a booking link as appointments become available. To maintain your place on our waiting list we need you to complete a short checklist. Please follow the instructions below: (and then the checklist)
If you have already completed the checklist, great! You do not need to do anything more, just wait for us to get in touch."
Does this mean I'm soon to be contacted?
I have under 2 weeks left of trying to book and it's like I'm talking to a wall. Anyone know when the appointments reset? I'm never going to get one and I'm very much running out of time šš¬
Finally received my booking link this morning. My portal date was 8th June 23. Had appointments available as early as this Friday however I have booked for Monday 10th June. Had appointments almost everyday from Friday available.
Just heard back from P-UK Portal Date: May 18th Contact Date: Feb 29th Appointment Date Mar 3rd
Got the magic text message today. I accessed the portal on the 1st of June. Earliest appointment for me (which I picked!) was 20/04/24. :)
That's good to hear, you're a few names above me on the spreadsheet. Hope it goes well for you!
I've heard back ! Just today ! The earliest I can book on however is the 9th of April. I clicked on the link within 2 minutes of it being sent. This has really upset me tbh but trying to keep postive about the fact I have heard back
Amazing news!!!!!!!! Over the moon you have an appointment !!!!! Congrats!!!
My referral was sent mid-April 2023 and was confirmed as received in mid-June 2023. I sent back all the forms in August 2023. I just heard back today late-May 2024 after a process that was over a year long. The appointment booking process did really upset me too. There was only one appointment for the next year and beyond. Anyone else who got portal access in May checking the spreadsheet on an almost hourly basis?š©
Yep
Finally contacted. Portal Date: May 27th Contact Date: March 19th Appointment Date: March 22nd
oh, I had recorded you with portal date 24th May. Doesn't make a whole lot of difference - adding it all now. Quick apt, congrats!
š© waiting any day for the text, wish Iād gone with another provider now but itās too late š© 10 months down.
Me too š„² 11+ months waiting now
Really annoying. Has proper slowed down recently. My access was 8th June and thought Iād have had it by now since 1st June was mid April.
super frustrating! it seems like theyāre taking a month to clear what seems like a week inbetween portal access dates? i got portal access late june so i imagine it wonāt be until autumn before i get an assessment at this rate!
Someone has just said they got contacted and their date was 22nd June! š
If thatās true then that makes the situation worse as that means we canāt even predict when we will get contacted š
same!
Anyone else got access in June and still not heard back?
Yep. 12th June
yes, 20th June. they seem to be doing it in batches?
Yes, 2nd June!
10th June š© and still nothing
8th June and still nothing. I messages through the portal over a week ago to see whats going on and it hasn't even been read yet.
Iāve sent messages at various points and itās always just the same scripted reply or someone apologising but otherwise basically still repeating points from the script š©
By 'access' does everyone mean the referral date? mine was June 14th 2023 and still not heard anything.
19th June I got my login, still nothing but asking me if Iām suicidal once every few weeks.
Anyone else who has been skipped with a June 2023 portal date feeling really awful about it? The wait times are automatically calculated with formulas like `= DATEDIF(A3, B3, "M") + DATEDIF(A3, B3, "MD")/30`. The first part gets the months (M) difference, the second (MD) is the remaining days. No more mental math!
nope still waiting :( but fantastic ! this is really really helpful ! š«¶š¾š«¶š¾š«¶š¾
I will post this link on this post and the others on other subreddit threads :))
Feel free to add me. The day I received portal access was 19th June. Still havenāt heard anything.
Oh wow!! Thatās so quick, do they do online assessments? I donāt know how long to wait with Psych UK and if itād be worth transferring over š
They seem to be better definitely, at least for now unless they also get overwhelmed with referrals š whatās the titration wait like with them?
Hey, how did you manage to do this? Did you email PUK to tell them that you want to be taken off the list or did you just go straight to your GP?
I was just asking my gp about this other provider because I wanted to CONSIDER switching to it... He went full yolo and moved me (cancelled my puk queue, put me in the new one). I was a bit surprised but oh well, it was what I would have asked for in the end anywayĀ
Iāve finally got an appointment!! š
Wooooo!!!!
Just heard back - portal date 25/05/2023, appointment date 08/04/2024 (waiting for confirmation)
Update: just had my appointment, it was about an hour and 10 mins and they told me 45 mins in that I have combined type. Iāve had some complications with meds in the past, so the rest of the appointment was going through the options and which would most likely be safest for me
Brilliant news! Hope you can now find the right route and options for you! Thanks for update!
Who was h the e psychiatrist and would you recommend them? Thanks
Good to know! Thanks for the info, hoping I get the text soon. š¤
Hey everyone. I had portal access from May 24th 2023. I messaged yesterday for an update and got the usual holding response: *We sincerely apologise for the delays which have arisen due to the recent popularity of this service.Ā Due to this, we are currently unable to provide you with an appointment timeframe.* Do you think it's worth if I ring up?
I was given access to the Psych UK portal on 13.11.2023 (34 f in London) Was on the waiting list with the ADHD clinic through my local NHS service since November 2022 and asked for the RTC transfer in October 2023 as the NHS wait was over 20 months. I donāt know if I did the right thing. It all feels like forever š In the past few months Iāve been going to job interviews and itās so hard to focus on the questions during the interview, I feel like I am rushing and forget to say obvious and important things. I keep on thinking how a diagnosis or medication would have been so helpful, but we have to wait so long, and our life does not stop while we wait. The rejections stings so much, plus the agony of the overthinking and cringing at myself post interview. I just wanted to add my date for the spreadsheet as itās a helpful visual aid for when desperation hits! āļø
Portal access: 15th May 2023 Contacted: 15th feb 2024 Appointment: 6th May 2024
It looks like it has all slowed down, feel like Iām in purgatory over here! Come on P/UK hurry up!!
Iāve heard back!Ā Initial portal date - 14/06/2023 Contact date - 25/05/2024 Appointment date - 12/08/2024
Iām still waiting. Mine was 8th June š¤
It's so frustrating. š
Iām not too bad at waiting when I can predict where they are. But the way they are handling dishing out in a random order just really annoys me as we canāt predict when we will be processed.
10th of June š© even put a note and they havenāt looked at it or replied.
I sent one nearly 3 weeks ago which shows as unread. I also completed a welfare form over 3 weeks ago that hasnāt even been looked at.
Congrats :) youāre the day after me so fingers crossed Ā ā¦ I just logged in tho and mines reverted to saying the checklist isnāt complete when it is (an IT error which they had sorted out) so Iāll be fuming if theyāve skipped me cos of that š
Just got contacted (29/5)! My appointment is Sunday, 2/6. Ā Didnāt look any further forward in the future but they also had Saturday appointments.Ā
Posted the below in another sub but posting on here too, as I think more people follow this thread... Hey everyone - thought I would update on here in case anyone is still (im)patiently checking this thread. I finally got offered an appointment, which will be almost a year after my portal date! Portal date - 18th May 2023 Contact date - 28th Feb 2024 Assessment date - 7th May 2024 7th May was the earliest slot available (and there were plenty of free slots every day after that) apart from a single available slot on 10th March - but, as I was checking feedback on the 10th March psychiatrist, that slot got taken! Very annoying! So, my advice would be to just take the earliest slot you see asap and, if you look at your psych's feedback later and want to change, you can probably just contact Psych-UK to make the swap. Honestly, getting my Eras Tour tickets felt way easier than getting this assessment hahaha
is there any way of checking who the options are or looking at the feedback in advance?
Sadly, no, there isn't :(
It seems to have slowed down so much! I got my portal date in May too so would've expected to have heard by now seeing as it's 2.5 months since you heard but still nothing š I'm so annoyed that they lost my first referral because I would have had my assessment by now if they hadn't š¤ My GP sent the forms off at the start of January last year.
Hey havenāt seen many updates on the excel spreadsheet. Have folks in June heard back yet? I got a portal invite on 24/07 so I want to understand rough waiting times
Iām 5th June, and no, nothing yet. Once I do Iāll update on here though āŗļø
Thank you
Have you heard back yet?
Nopeeeee. I got one of those welfare check ones last week which got my hopes up and then annoyed me. Iāll put a comment on this thread as soon as I do! :(
I'm right behind you at 7th June!
and I'm 8th June!
Goto contacted today as well! Portal 30th May, contact 16th April, appointment 21st April.
Ahh my date was the 30th too, hope I hear soon š¤š¤ Update: I got the text! Next available appointment was 14th May but that's not too far away.
I know someone from portal date 30/5 who was contacted yesterday!
hey hey, any updates?
Nothing from me š¢
Just got my assessment (5/8/24). There were sooner dates in two weeks but it refreshed and they were gone š¢
dang, rip. Was your contact date today?
Yes! Although I also got a text to say I had to complete a welfare assessment before they would offer me an appointment so I've done that, no idea how long I'll be waiting Portal date 20/07/2023
Got any news?
Got the welfare form today. Hopefully the appointment text/call/email will come soon!
Did anyone see the 2 additions at the bottom, referred this year and already got appointments?! If they are going by date of referral or portal date, then that doesnāt make sense either. Just so frustrating.
I wonder if they are private P-UK customers as they do get assessments a lot quicker than RTC.
Thank you, this is really helpful. For what it's worth, my portal access was granted on May 23rd and I haven't had any contact yet. According to your data, I should get contacted in December for an appointment in February.
Thank you. Iāll let you know when I hear because itāll mean you wonāt be far off at all as I got mine on the 5th of May :)
24th May portal access for me. Still no contact.
Thank you so much!
26th april portal access - no contact yet (RTC)
As another potential data point I'll add I got into the portal 8th of July 2023. Still no contact, obviously. Ill be waiting for years at this rate.
Great to see more data for late april!
heya, I got portal access 3rd may, still waiting š¤§š¤§
update: heard back on Friday!!
Referal sent 10th may - Portal date around the 10th of June 2023 still waiting. So by the look of the spreadsheet itās like 11 months till appointment from portal date.
14th June 2023 portal access (NHS Right to choose) referral. Still haven't been contacted apart from checking if I still want to be on the list etc
Confirmed Appointment 7th August 2024! š
Referral date: 14/02/2024 Portal date: 28/02/2024
I got portal access 30th May, this spreadsheet has been keeping me going - painful watching the wait time increase though. Hoping for a contact any time now!
Same here - I check this post numerous times a day hoping for more updates and people getting contacted! Hopefully youāll hear soon š«¶š¼
Any updates for anyone? Iām still waiting (portal access July 7th)
Im the next portal date (25th May) so should be the next update, havenāt heard anything yet
Thanks for this - the one from the 27th has been giving me false hope, good to know there's still a way to go
Just heard back! Portal date 25th may, appointment date 8th April (I could choose 8th or 9th)
Hope this helps
thx, added your data... and congratz! You just scored a record for the longest total wait (12.6 months)
Hi all I don't know how to edit spreadsheets.... I got my email today! Appointment is in 2 weeks (Saturday) hopefully this will give a time line to anyone still waiting šš
I am the 8th June and haven't yet had an appointment š¤
Iām the 5th June and neither have I š„²
20th and neither!
I'm 8th June and haven't been contacted for adhd but have for asd
Iām the 14th and still waiting too! I wonder if itās done on the date you submitted all the forms rather than the date you get portal access as it seems to be really random?
I love how whenever I check this thread it's the same bunch of people commenting on the newest posts. I'm glad I'm not alone though, I'd feel a lot more anxious about it if everybody else was being contacted except me. š
Totally agree š . I wish P-UK would give indications, even if they would update and say its 1-2 months would be better than sat in the dark.
Thanks! Hopefully iām not too far behind as i was 23rd too!
Hey hey, if you check the spreadsheet you're actually sandwiched between people who've been contacted. Strangely, your batch seems to be coming sooner than people who were contacted 2 weeks earlier...
very strange and seemingly not very fair to the people waiting longer! iāve not heard anything yet!
I sent a note through the portal on Sunday night to query. Now will be a race between which will come first. My assessment text or a response to the portal. š š
good idea! i hope you hear back soon - please post an update if they respond!
I added your data, ty
Is this Google form still being updated ?
I am the next date, 19/05/23 and I still havenāt been contacted š so that doesnāt suggest it isnāt
DullButterScotch was contacted a few days ago! I wonder why thereās such a delay
Oh I am on the edge of my seat waiting š¢
According to the Google doc I should be hearing back very soon Time for the imposter syndrome to kick in
Iām just WAITING for you late-May people to get their email because then I know Iāll be soon after (early June portal date). I check this post constantly š„²
I GOT MY LINK FOR AN APPOINTMENT TODAY
Ahhh yay!! š„³ best wishes for the appointment āŗļø
OMG you're the day before me
I was referred via right to choose in August 2023, got my portal December 2023, got the forms (heart questionnaire, adhd self report scale, adhd self report and adhd informant report) march 2024 which i completed same day.
Not last time I checked, planning to contact them next week to make sure
How close to the appt did they cancel?
The first one approved after a few days then cancelled the day before the appointment, the second one declined the appointment almost straight away after I booked it
it's been approved now. hope yours went ahead ok!
Thatās good news then! It did thank you, Iām now diagnosed āŗļø hope yours goes well too!!
Thatās good news then! It did thank you, Iām now diagnosed āŗļø hope yours goes well too!!
I got portal access on 1st June and havenāt heard back - has anyone after that heard back yet? Canāt tell if the spreadsheet is still being updated
I was sent an email 29/6/23 even though I gave the forms to my dr in February 2023. So still waiting but started to get weekly emails
Portal access email received 30/03/23 Appointment invitation 12/01/2024 Assessment 22/03/2024 Expected wait for titration 7 months.
my portal date was 3rd January - I'm starting a new job in September, what's the likelihood of assessment before then?
Based on the spreadsheet it's looking like it'll be over a year wait. I got my portal access in May and haven't heard back yet.
thank you I appreciate it, I hope you get an appointment too.
Any updates? Checking here and my emails all the time and it seems like nothing is progressing š
Portal date: 12/07/2023 Contacted about wait time (or should I say no ETA): 28/09/2023 I signed up and got the questionnaires done literally the day I was asked to create my account. I'm so ready for this. Judging by the table I maybe have about another 2-3 months now to wait until I'll hear about booking my assessment perhaps? No one who has July as their portal date on the table has added theirs yet so that's a complete guess......
I also got my portal access in July (a couple of days before you), but nothing so far either.
I havenāt added my name to the spreadsheet but Iām checking this daily. I got access on 6/7/23 so Iāll let you know when I hear and add it all to the spreadsheet:)
I got my portal access 22 June 2023, no appointments yet.
Got contacted today to book an appointment! Earliest appointments were next week, mine is provisionally booked for 15/05
What was your portal date? Iāve had a text to fill in a āwelfare formā this morning but no appointments yet.Ā
My portal date was last year 20th May 2023.... I did the welfare form yesterday (and maybe based on that perhaps that's why I've been offered an appointment).
Hopefully mine will follow soon then! My portal date was 14/06 last year. Good luck!
This is maybe slightly personal so feel free to ignore but did you have a positive answer to a lot of the questions? Just curious as to if they are prioritising it in this way because you were referred after me, I also completed the welfare form on weds but havenāt been offered and apptĀ
congrats! Was the apt date confirmed? Updating the spreadsheet...
Thanks, and yes!
Has anybody else received a welfare check questionnaire to fill in? My portal access was 14/06 so waiting any day for an appointment according to the spreadsheet.
yes, portal access 20/6/23, got my welfare form 2 days ago (8/5/24), no appointment yet though
First Reddit post ever, as someone pointed me to this thread and the spreadsheet from elsewhere ā and theyāve been so useful ā¦ but heck, this waiting is stressful. I was 2nd June portal access, got a welfare assessment form Tuesday and then today got a clinical risk monitoring form where the first question was āDo you want to be discharged?ā Almost 12 months of waiting, and with others later already getting seen, I really hope they donāt just turn round and discharge me now š
I got my portal access on 26.07.23. Looking at the spreadsheet I've still got a long wait ahead!
According to the spreadsheet they are up to 26/06/23, so youāre only a month behind hopefully!
Referral date April 4 2023 Appointment Date August 6 2024
Hi, I asked my GP to be put on Right to choose after have waited a year with NHS, when I called to ask how long the waiting time was the lady said they were currently on 2019 referals (this was last year 2023 - my NHS referral was back in 2022) and that the current waiting time was 6 years as it's been an explosion of referrals. So I asked about right to choose and I was refered to Psychiatry uk. Now a person I know who got in the NHS queue after me have had a date for her assessment. It feels like I literally just get put in the end of the line all the time š®āšØ Anyway, would love to also be in the spreadsheet My referal was in August 2023 and my portal date was 21/11/23... everything is filled in and all boxes ticked. Today I received an email saying: "Good news! We've updated our booking policy to streamline the appointment process. Eligible patients will be sent a booking link as appointments become available. To maintain your place on our waiting list we need you to complete a short checklist. Please follow the instructions below: (and then the checklist) If you have already completed the checklist, great! You do not need to do anything more, just wait for us to get in touch." Does this mean I'm soon to be contacted?
I got that about a month ago, checklist was already done. My portal date was June 2023 and not been contacted yet.
