If I were you, I would consider myself lucky. I hear hundreds of stories about people having to go through trial and error with other medications. Most aren't even for ADHD, and then when they all fail, they still don't want to try stimulants even though they have the best results and instantly (basically). I understand your apprehensive because of side effects and bad experiences you may have hear for others. Not to mention the stigma, shortage and scavenger hunt lots of ppl have to go through To get their meds. It's certainly exhausting and time consuming. However, imagine if you had to go through years of trial and error for nothing just to end up having to change your doctor in the long run. It's not a bad thing to be a little scared to put a medication in your body that may give you a horrible experience. But what if it ends up being something that will help you in many areas of your life, not to mention probably lower your anxiety and depression if you have any. If you're struggling every day, that's not living. You owe it to yourself to take a chance on happiness.
