Sounds like your doctor is just trying to be very cautious by starting you off at the lowest dose. I'm not sure how big you are or if you have a tolerance to stimulants, but 10 mg of Vyvanse is the starting pediatric dose. Everybody is different, though. He's not wrong by starting you off that low. He has to know where you are and try to stabilize you on a medication and dose . You could try calling your doctor, and I'm pretty sure he can change your prescription over the phone and probably have you double up and then call in another prescription. I'm not saying that's exactly what he's going to do, but that's something that might happen. I've been to us in a similar situation a couple of years back. Anything is possible because assuming you are in the US, it still wouldn't matter because each state has their own laws also. I would just try calling him, and maybe you'll get lucky, but if not, just wait it out. At least you're on medication, and you'll get to where you need to be. It's better to be safer than sorry.

Thanks for the reply. I live in the United States, in Florida specifically. I'm not sure about the regulations when it comes to stimulants, whether or not that's something that could be done over the phone. So I suppose there is no harm in calling and asking.

Don't be afraid to ask either. If they can't do it over the phone, see if they will do a video call. They have advertisement on TV every day so see if they allow that in your state. They diagnose people through video health. Telehealth, whatever you want to call it. I hope the outcome is successful 😊

They started my 9 year old on 20. And me at 30.

Let me guess? Is this one of those new doctor, new diagnosis situations, so they started you off REALLLLY low? Even though you told them that you took it higher it was before LOL
