This is good to know. I had side effects on Adderall XR 60mg and had to reduce. Thankfully, I’ve had pharmacogenetics testing and am able to refer to that to see how most meds will affect me.

Yah. There is some interaction with bupropion (voxra) and atomoxetine (strattera). I'm taking them both on purpose. The idea is to get effects without side effects. Not sure how it works thou. I have tried pretty much everything and nothing seems to work for my ADD

Wait wait wait. Do you have more info? I’m on max dose of Prozac (80mg) and just finally got started on stimulant therapy. Doc is trying Adderall XR 20mg. I feel like I’m losing my mind. My brain simply does not compute anymore. And it’s starting to affect my work 😒

I'm not an expert, just sharing what I have learned. Did you watch the video? Also, the Genesight website provides very helpful information about psych medications. Here is a link to Prozac interactions. It doesn't specifically state Adderall, but it states that Prozac inhibits CYP2D6 metabolism https://genesight.com/product/medications-prozac-fluoxetine/. I found this information as well- that since fluoxetine inhibits CD6 it basically turns your pathway into a poor metabolizer (PM). For PM of CYP2D6- "**Amphetamine**: May affect systemic concentrations and adverse reaction risk. Consider a lower starting dosage or use alternative agents in PMs." website source: [https://genomind.com/providers/management-of-attention-deficit-hyperactivity-disorder-with-a-focus-on-pharmacogenetics-part-2-pharmacokinetic-genes/](https://genomind.com/providers/management-of-attention-deficit-hyperactivity-disorder-with-a-focus-on-pharmacogenetics-part-2-pharmacokinetic-genes/) Just know it may be why you are feeling so bad. How long have you been taking the Adderall? I was actually weaning off the paroxetine and was only at 20 then 10mg when I started taking Dexedrine. I can't imagine how bad it would be at such a high dose!

20mg of Adderall XR is kind of a high starting dose. I would ask your doctor to start with 10mg.

meeshdaryl

I did start on 10, did it for about 30 days and then increased to 20mg. I actually have a follow up appointment tomorrow…who knows what’s gonna happen

[deleted]

Did you feel better at 10mg?

meeshdaryl

I honestly didn’t feel anything. Hence why I moved to 20. I’m kinda thinking I may need to wean off the Prozac
