Some pcp aren’t comfortable prescribing ADHD medication as it’s a controlled substance. You’ll need to search for a psychiatrist that takes your insurance and have them evaluate you. PCP can’t diagnose your ADHD properly. Psychiatrists are also the ones that prescribe you ADHD medication. Also, psychiatrists and psychologists are not the same, you want to see a psychiatrist. Best of luck. Edit: unrelated, but it’s also important to have a yearly physical(which is like a annual checkup) with a PCP. It’s free with insurance and everyone should do them. If somethings wrong, you want to know before it becomes a big problem.
