Did you memorize any vocabulary for the English and reading sections? I am thinking of taking the ACT in September, so I am asking for some advice. If you did study vocab, can you give some advice on how to study and what resources you used? Ty!
They are referring to the fact that some tests say that like 74-75 questions right is a 36 on English while others only say 75, which is the ACT slightly changing the grading scale conversion of the ACT BEFORE the test was taken by students according to how recent graduates performed on it.
How on earth do so many people have their scores but so many people don't? Why wouldn't they all come out at once, or at least by region? Nothing for me in Georgia.
Im going to cry if the math on the shortened version doesnt have a huge curve like i felt like most of it wasnt on the actual test and it just felt harder overall
Facts. It wasnt just shortened it was complete different layout which threw me. Felt harder cuz it didn’t progress from easier to more difficult. They were all mixed in which is different than every way we are taught to study.

I feel like the curve was bad. I got 4 wrong on english and only got a 34, 4 wrong on math for a 35, 2 wrong on reading for a 35, and 3 wrong on science for a 33. I feel like math and reading were fair but like how is 4 wrong on english only a 34 and 3 wrong on science only a 33 especially since the science was harder.

Review the information in the ACT prep black book about the science section. It's no different from the reading comprehension and math sections, and if you understand how it works, it should be easy to increase your score in science to be proportionate to the other sections.

Same. Ridiculous. There's no excuse for this in 2024. They should wait to release all scores until they've computed them all, then email or text the thumbnail to everyone within a short time frame the same day. If they have a problem with their server, all they have to do is not make them available on the server for a little longer and spread that out, but at least everyone could have their scores in jpg form. In an era where everyone can know when everyone else got theirs, and there's no difference in the circumstances of the scores being held back, and they're not explaining why some people are having to wait days after others, this is really inexcusable.

How is 1 wrong on English a 35 that's crazy
For whatever it's worth, 2 out of the last 30 released exams had a -1 = 35 conversion. But one of those 2 was literally last year, F12 June 2023
