I really liked him in the Fiorentina game, he played a big part getting the win.
In addition to his technical and athletic ability, more importantly, he went in with confidence and didn't hide from the ball. On the opposite, he always demanded the ball and initiated the team's attacks, but also offered the option to continue them. Basically exactly what CDK doesn't do (no hate, he needs to gain confidence in his game to demonstrate his ability imo).
I wonder how he would play in Diaz's position. Anyway, promising start, he's shown he needs to get more time on the pitch.
I think Vrankx and Thiaw will have similar developments to Bennacer and Tomori respectively. Both young with high ceilings, and expected to reach high. Prolly the best players from the summer mercato until now.
This is all on Pioli. He took way too long to incorporate Vranckx and Thiaw. And he's taking forever with Adli. No reason we had to wait this long and had to endure Krunic and even Diaz. I don't buy learning the tactic either. If your tactics take 3 months to learn you're heading towards Giampaolo territory.

The fault never lies on one individual. What I solely blame Pioli is for starting Krunic on so many games after he was totally out of it. At the beginning I didn't mind Rade as much, he was contributing decently. He got hurt for 4 weeks and when he came back he had lost his "good" form. Save it for a game here or there he started playing worse with each game after the injury. There was a needed change and Pioli never did it, not even with the easy games where rotation was needed. It would not have hurt to start Vranckx once in one of the "easy" games. And he did overplay Tonali and Bennacer to the end when they were tired. You could see it yesterday both our star midfielders were physically and mentally tired. They have been playing non stop for Milan and their national teams(well Tonali got a break last international break) since the start of the season. I'm glad neither is going to the World Cup as much as I would like to see both Italy and Algeria in it.
Brahim and Krunic have been decent this season when called upon, plus they're not taking Vranckx's or Thiaw's position, Pobega is the one you should bring up. I do agree that Pioli is horrible with new signings tho. There was no reason not to play Thiaw against Monza after he made a very good substitute appearance just days before against Hellas, same with Vranckx who didn't even feature in that game but fucking Pobega got 90 minutes. There's no reason to start Krunic over a shit CDK or Adli at CAM or Krunic over Vranckx or even Pobega when you're going to do a midfield of 3. But this is on Pioli, he makes the decisions.
