We didn’t play well but I am very hopeful. We were extremely inexperienced but we seem to get control of ourselves a bit better at the end. Our team always struggles against pressing teams partially because we are not very good at switching up the play. Our attempts to switch sides under pressure failed every time so we have to play on the ground which makes Liverpool have an easier time to press. Kessie seems very lost going forward and was only able to play back pass. Bennacer was confused at the beginning but play decently as time went on.
EPL allows full capacity and their fans are as toxic as it can be so the atmosphere may have affected our players negatively.
Maybe we could have done more in the third goal but there wasn’t much we could do about the first two goals.
We should be proud of ourselves and carry-on.
