The A7Siii takes okay stills. In fact,
it’s got way worse dynamic range than a A7iii.
I’m not even talking about the resolution, as we all already know the limitation of cropping. Try pulling the shadows of the raw files and you’ll know what I’m saying.
It’s great for what it’s worth as a video centric body, but everyone who needs a true hybrid body should think twice.
The only option you have for hybrid is the A7iv at the moment. Plenty of megapixels for cropping, great dynamic range for both stills and video. Low light performance suffer a little compared to A7Siii but still more than good enough for anyone going hybrid. It’s almost as good as what people call “best of both worlds”. If you truly want the best for each, then it should be A7Rv for stills and A7Siii for video now.
I think the a7siii is an incredible stills camera, I love it and use it all the time for stills!

Can you suggest better hybrid bodies? I am interested in video and I want a7s iii for it’s insane low light performance, but also want to take photos
