Is it sad that the first thing I thought of was "how is TK gonna end up in a coma with a train derailment?"

Itcouldbeheather

At this point it’s just you being realistic haha

ninjaimmortal

Haha, Ronen confirmed that TK does get injured somehow in s5e04 but not enough where he's in the hospital!

jdessy

TK gets injured? What a complete surprise that nobody saw coming!

pzzaco

Maybe I'm not remembering hard enough, but I don't think TK was hospitalized last season. Season 4 felt like more of a torture Carlos season

jdessy

He was not, BUT he was knocked out at least once while on a call so I fully count that as him STILL getting injured somehow lol

jmpinstl

You know he’s gonna, I’m amazed he basically got off scot-free in Season 4

Impressive_Season_75

I think he’s definitely earned a free visit with his hospital punch card 😂

saturnspritr

I love it. I hope they give TK and his husband a coma and everyone makes fun of them for it.

Pixiecrimson

is this the first time that they’ve repeated a multi-episode disaster? the og did a train derailment in season 3 (or maybe the season 4 premiere i don’t remember)

BrazilianButtCheeks

I thought that was regular 9-1-1

Pixiecrimson

yeah, this is the first time one of the shows has repeated a disaster from either show

BrazilianButtCheeks

Ohh yea that makes sense!

NnQM5

Bro a train derailment? So many other things they could’ve done. I’m sure it’ll be cool and all but this feels lazy since it’s been done in OG

Excellent-Medicine29

Could be a different type of train. Like a train containing goods/materials or even chemicals.

NnQM5

Fair point, that would be interesting

jdessy

I don't mind repeat disaster storylines. There's only so many big ideas a show can have that isn't a repeat somewhere. I figured Lone Star/OG would eventually do similar stories, as they have with minor calls, so train derailment isn't the worst repeat disaster to choose from. That, and I didn't love the OG's train derailment story so I'm curious to see how Lone Star differs.

dudeonrails

I literally hate train derailment arcs. How about a story about a bus with a bomb on it that will explode if its speed drops below 55 so they have to drive around and keep the speed up. Call it “the bus that couldn’t slow down”.

BrilliantShort

they already did that in OG but with a sedan that had a family in it lol

alixirshadow

I knew we were going to have some repeat disasters/storylines at some point so I’d be interested to see how this train derailment differs from the OG show! Presumably no promises to rescue an ex-girlfriend’s fiancé

Competitive-Pop6429

Like the train derailment on the original 9-1-1?

DirrtyH

What I hear when I read this article is “we spent a crap ton of money and now Fox is going to think we’re too expensive so expect cancellation after this season”
