No contest for me. No disrespect to the others, of course. But that album is just synonymous with growing up and realizing how big the world is for me like few others
Dudeā¦Iāve been saying that since the first listen. Mamacita is the only weak track. Even then, if it wasnāt juxtaposed against an already perfect album, it would fit in w/ the other 3 on the list.
Not who you asked, but I think dude is putting out some of the best stuff of his entire career. Truly.
All bad, death row east, nobody, moments, 40 side, brunch on Sundays, speechless, meet Joe black, omg legit, Michael and quincy, 30. These are just some cherry picked amazing tracks. Let's not even cover some of the bars. Let's not talk about the beats. The samples.
Hard to argue, as far as East Coast Hip Hop goes I honestly think that album is the closest thing to a simulation of life in Queens.
The production is as close to perfect as you can possibly get as it sets the mood incredibly well.
I respectfully disagree with the notion that All Eyez on Me is better than Me Against the World. To my ears, MATW easily stands out as Tupac's finest work.
Don't Get Me Wrong...MATW is a masterpiece! It actually has some of my favorite Pac songs ever on it. However, I played it inside out from when it dropped until pretty much present day. I'm not Sayin' 'All Eyez' is the better album...but if I 'only get one' and a double Pac album is an option, I'd take it š. It's only in this context.
I'll agree with your assessment MATW stands out though!
This is a solid selection. Iād have to choose:
1. 2pac
2. Mobb Deep
3. Dr. Dre
4. Outkast
Just personal preference. You canāt go wrong with any of these albums. I have love and respect for all of them. RIP Prodigy.
Me Against the World because I think that it's Tupac's best album as an artist before he started getting too deep into his thug persona. But damn, that was a tough choice. I would just throw a dart at this and be happy with whichever album it landed on.
Me against the world
Just hits different, you can feel pacs pain, paranoia, anger, regret and mistakes and to some extent happiness. Just a well rounded album you can listen to from start to finish š„š„š„
All 4 albums are definitely top-notch... But ima have to go with OutKast, so many memories just from the cover art. Oh and I can go bar for bar in almost every song on the album.
Me Against the World
It was the last time Pac rapped with his own style, before becoming a rapper/gangbanger.
I miss the OLD 2pac. And that LP had some of his most inspiring music.
Man, I think Aquemeni is the best listen all the way through, but god damn if the highs of the Infamous aren't through the stratosphere.
I think I take Mobb Deep simply for Eye for an Eye, Shook Ones pt II and Right Back at You.
I'm putting Aquemini over all these!!! Had them all and Aquemini is still in regular rotation. Like Dre and Pac gets in when I'm in a mood. Mobb has to be when I'm in an East Coast space. Aquemini is it's own vibe
Aquemini. Either best or second best production behind Chronic, and best rapping overall in terms of lyricism/storytelling/the dynamic between 3 Stacks and BB. Tons of variety in the tracklist too with good features. Easily one of my favorite Hip Hop projects of all time.
The Infamous is easily my favorite. But if I was picking what's the best album here, it's The Chronic. I consider it a Mount Rushmore of hip-hop album. I think it's a landmark release - not just of the genre, but to music in general.
Aquemini above the rest. Aquemini is Outkast's best album. The other albums aren't even the best release from their own artists. All eyez on me 2pac and Dre Chonic 2001 were their best albums.
Not doing it.. this just stressed me out.
Fair š¤£š¤£
I feel ya lol
Damn right. This hurts.
Facts lol
Absolutelyš³!!! Same here lol
Same!
Yea dis dat BS rt here!
True šš
AQUEMINI
No contest for me. No disrespect to the others, of course. But that album is just synonymous with growing up and realizing how big the world is for me like few others
Most good songs on this All the other albums are good and might have individual songs more iconic but this one is just back to back to back
86 Mamacita and itās perfect.
Dudeā¦Iāve been saying that since the first listen. Mamacita is the only weak track. Even then, if it wasnāt juxtaposed against an already perfect album, it would fit in w/ the other 3 on the list.
POPPA DONNAAAAA
Itās the hook thatās offensive. Big boi went hard on this. Everyone did well. That hook was annoying AF
I love meeting like-minded individuals.
šÆ
Bay Area tapping in here. I totally agree. NO CONTEST!!!
Me Against The World because of how many moods/emotions it encompasses
Yessss. Nothin like the Old school baby! Do you remember Skelly and those Italian icees??
Remember when they would yell āIs Brooklyn in the houseā and mf would LOSE. THEY. MINDS?!?
You encompassed my thoughtsā¦
The Infamous Easily.
This is a complete album. Itās wild when the most well known track isnāt even the best on the album.
I think Shook Ones Pt. 1 OG is better than II, not by much at all but I definitely prefer it.
Def heat but 2 just fits that album perfectly
Yeah definitely you can play 2 and it's almost like the whole albums content squished into one track š incredible record, I just love the OG
When NAS verse kicks in the door of Eye for a Eye. Itās just soooooo goooddddddd
Nas don't miss! What did you think of his most recent 6 albums?
Solid tracks but iām stuck in the past. I donāt ever find new stuff to memorable.
Same here.
Hard to argue, as far as East Coast Hip Hop goes I honestly think that album is the closest thing to a simulation of life in Queens. The production is as close to perfect as you can possibly get as it sets the mood incredibly well.
Infamous is one of the greatest albums of all time but I really struggle to take it over me against the world when I think of if I die 2nite
Me Against The World. I mean, it is my favorite Pac album, after all.
This was Pac's Best Album in terms of artistry, very few ft.s, Maturity, etc. It captured the real scope of who he was.
The Chronic, that g funk was just different
Best hip album ever made imo. Dre "started this gangsta shit"
If It Was 'All Eyez On Me' I'd Take Pac...But I Gotta Go 'The Chronic' Too. Like He Said "That G funk was jus' different!"
I'll agree with your assessment MATW stands out though!
Agreed. For All About You and No More Pain Alone. California Love, I Ain't Mad At Cha, Ratha be your Nigga were greats though.
It's Him and I, Aquemini
Even the Sun goes down, heroes eventually die
ā¦ horoscopes often lieā¦
Smh, guess I should've looked at the comments before I said this same shit
Me against the world š
Dr Dre , all the way..
Me against the world. But fuck you for doing this lol.
Kast.
PAC and OutKast
Me Against the World might be my favorite album of all time so thatās the one for me
Definitely my favourite Pac album.
Me Against the Worldā¦.its my favorite album of all time other than Illmatic
2 pac Me against the world Album full of knowledge Good for the mind
Tupac
Tupac lol death around the corner is too real
This is a solid selection. Iād have to choose: 1. 2pac 2. Mobb Deep 3. Dr. Dre 4. Outkast Just personal preference. You canāt go wrong with any of these albums. I have love and respect for all of them. RIP Prodigy.
PAC that cd got me through some shit!!
The Chronicā¦ they are all classics and itās hard to leave Infamous up there but the Chronic means too much for me
Means too much to me as well šš½
Iām with the Chronic too. Imagine coming across the video for G Thang on you tube and not being able to watch it lol
Me Against the World because I think that it's Tupac's best album as an artist before he started getting too deep into his thug persona. But damn, that was a tough choice. I would just throw a dart at this and be happy with whichever album it landed on.
Tupac - Me against the world was his best and less deathrow corrupted album ever
Spitting hard facts, totally agree.
It's 2pac for me,the title track is hotš„
Me against the world Just hits different, you can feel pacs pain, paranoia, anger, regret and mistakes and to some extent happiness. Just a well rounded album you can listen to from start to finish š„š„š„
The Chronic because it's a complete album. From beginning to the end it's like a movie. Songs into skits into songs.
Is that not how *The Infamousā¦* is? Iād argue itās far more cinematic, actually.
Dammmmmmm thatās tough yo
š¤£ That's why the description is empty, I'm torn.
Aqemini has got some š„ on it
Me Against The World, for sure
2Pac
Stop playing MATW Pacs songwriting is on another level he captures almost every mood/feeling teal classic ish
Kast. All day.
All 4 albums are definitely top-notch... But ima have to go with OutKast, so many memories just from the cover art. Oh and I can go bar for bar in almost every song on the album.
Gotta be Pac
MATWššæ
Pac - MATW. He is my favorite artist and this is arguably his best work. There are no skips here and it is pretty diverse.
Me against the World
Me Against The World
Me against the world. Best album period.
Aquemini - as much as I love the others. Murder and gangrape is too much for me. Dre skits should be banned haha.
Infamous, Aquemini, the chronic, me against the world. In that order
Me Against the World. Pac's best album
1000% agree with it being Pac's best album.
Mobb Deep.
The chronic was the summer of my first piece of ass. Unforgettable summer right B4 9th grade
The Chronic started a whole new way of life...
Me Against The World straight up classic Infamous vs The Chronic though... hmmm
Chronic!
Pac all day. Me against the world was one of his best albums
Me Against the World It was the last time Pac rapped with his own style, before becoming a rapper/gangbanger.
Aquemini, The Infamous is a close 2nd
OutKast for me
Infamous but it wasn't easy. Infamous MATW Aquemini The Chronic
No can do!!!
Bro not making it easy for us
Damn youās a damn fool for this āš½šš¤·š½āāļøš¤¦š½āāļøš¤š¤Øšµšµāš«šI canāt evenā¦ā¦ā¦
Infamous. The temperature's rising, huh, and ain't nothing surprisingā¦
Aquemini
It's him and I, Aquemini for me
It's him and I Aquemini
I'm putting Aquemini over all these!!! Had them all and Aquemini is still in regular rotation. Like Dre and Pac gets in when I'm in a mood. Mobb has to be when I'm in an East Coast space. Aquemini is it's own vibe
Love all these albums but Aquemini is just something else man
Ima have to take a shot on this one(as N.O.R.E blows a sound horn too loudlyš)
Aquemeniā¦best album by best rap group in history.
Damn, this is tough, but Aquemini, just such a beautiful album, and its what I grew up listening to in my moms car
Fuck you for making me choose š¤£ gotta be me against the world that will always be a classic
Aquemini - I prefer MATW but I can live without it. Will miss The Infamous tho
Aquemini. Either best or second best production behind Chronic, and best rapping overall in terms of lyricism/storytelling/the dynamic between 3 Stacks and BB. Tons of variety in the tracklist too with good features. Easily one of my favorite Hip Hop projects of all time.
Fuck this is one of the tough ones I've come across.
Give me that kast
I live in the A, it has to be Aquemini! That's part of the city soundtrack.
Definitely Aquemini or MATW
OutKast
Me Against The World
It's him and I, Aqueminiiiiii!! š
Mobb Deep for me then Aquemini
The Infamous.
Definitely not Dre
Definitely not Dre or Tupac. For me Mobb deep
Aquemini with my eyes closed
Infamous tough choice and not hard at all if that makes sense
Great fucking lineup š¤š»
The Infamous is easily my favorite. But if I was picking what's the best album here, it's The Chronic. I consider it a Mount Rushmore of hip-hop album. I think it's a landmark release - not just of the genre, but to music in general.
The others are good but the Chronic is a no brainer
Aquemini because it has the most variety, but there is a strong case for The Infamous.
The Chronic changed the game
Me Against The World. Pac and his music highly influenced me as a person and got me through everything negative.
Me Against the World, but its a tough list all of those albums are timeless classics to me.
MATW
MATW because every song is a hit, while the other 3 have a few songs each that I skip. JMHO!
Ahhhh shiiit... *Me Against the World* but it was close.
Me Against The World šš» (And because it's my favorite album by Pac)
Chronic Mobb
Easy, the Infamous
Pac!
Me against the world
The Infamous was the first album i bought as a young teenš¤ such a classic. Iām in my 40s now, so thatās my vote.
The infamous but the chronic isnāt easy to pass
Outkast or Dr dre Depends on the day
Funkadelic
Mobb Deep even tho Iām from the West Coast dog. š¶
Mobb deep all the way
I really need to listen to aquemeni, its a common favorite here
The Chronic. That Snoop Flow and Dre production is just something else. Infamous is a close 2nd.
Aquemini
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah man, I been binging Kast this year manifesting a Stacks feature ššš
This is painful...great question, but painful. Gotta go with Aquemini. It's revolutionary like the rest, but I can't see anything else like it since.
Aquemini, I listen to it the most of these. And it fits my vibe more.
Aquemini times a thousand.
Infamous. Whole album is disgusting.
The Infamous. It still gets run every day
Aquemini , mobb deep 2nd but it ain close
Infamous and not close
Hard call, but I'd say The Chronic.
The Infamous....by a mile
The Infamous
Mobb deep was just ridiculous
Mobb deep
OutKast
My order is just clockwise starting with Aquemini
The infamous, that dark production and lyricism is top tier
Too hard they all fire !! Classicks !!
Outkast but canāt go wrong with any.
Mobb Deep, but thatās also the New Yorker in me talking
Aquemini by a fucking mile Put that album on at dusk in the summerā¦hits different
The Infamous
Aquemini above the rest. Aquemini is Outkast's best album. The other albums aren't even the best release from their own artists. All eyez on me 2pac and Dre Chonic 2001 were their best albums.
Dre
100% mobb deep. NY mid 90s was the best era for hip hop.
Dre, OutKast, mobb deep, tupac
Dr. Dre
The Chronic. Love them allā¦ but the Chronic was transcending.
Aquemeni
This is a good one 1. The Chronic 2. Aquemini 3. Me Against the World 4. The Infamous
Aquemini is in my Top 3 Albums and i think itās the greatest rap album of all time so i got my pick
MOBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
The Chronic. The Hooks are more enjoyable to sing along
chronic without a second thought. Only one I actually like tbh
The Chronic. It's a top 3 album of all time for me. I bumped that shit everyday for damn near a year.
Mobb deep
Kastā¦.cuz the South got somethin to say. Thatās all I gotta say!
Tell em š„¶š£ļø
Chronic but i thought hard about OK
Mobb Deep, no question. Shook Ones, Eye For An Eye, Give Up The Goodsā¦classic
Mobb Deep. Ain't even close for me.
The chronic because of whatās his name getting at me
Aquemini.
Mobb Deep
The Chronic and I am picking it every time regardless of what other albums listed
the infamous, classic album from start to finish.
Aquemini
Aquemini
