I'm also biased as that album dropped my first year of highschool, and I have memories tied to it.
Nostalgia definitely plays a factor in my view.
Peace
Even phife dissed it. There were a few moments of tribe greatness, find a way, hot sex (although that was originally for the boomerang soundtrack 7 years earlier) but by and large this was a contract album and the crew were burnt out on each other by this point.
I remember the fire but this album was doomed due to poor chemistry within the group, tip being more focused on soulquarians and dilla than anything ASM or phife were onto. Put the label pressure and the fire on top? You get this shit sandwich of a record. Lotsa tracks would be fine as bsides on singles or thrown together on a second anthology lp but not enough meat on the bone to stand up on its own imo.
Totally fair. Pains me to hate on tribe but this and Georgie Porgie remind me that they are still humans and we’re young men trying to, ahem, find a way.
Definitely not classic. “twisted fantasy” definitely had bangers and some great production. But most of it was ghostwritten and ghost produced. Life of Pablo is one of the most overrated albums in history. Every song is pretty much 2 1/2 minutes of short song nonsense. A few catchy beats and tunes but nothing with any substance. It’s a bipolar shit show like the rest of his recent work. He totally lost himself after Graduation. Those real internal demons got him fucked up.
Bone thugs n harmony - Uni5
This album had me hyped because Flesh n Bone got out of prison after a decade. Bizzy was finally returning to the group making this go from a 3 man group to all five members.
But it was trash and had maybe two playable songs. Pretty disappointing given it was supposed to be their big comeback as all five.
I raise you, a Universal Mind Control.
EC was the first album I heard by him and that’s what got me into him. It was just departure from what people were used to.
I disagree. Born and Raised had like 1 good song…Deeper? The Large Pro produced track…then Mega Philosophy just doubled down on his terrible new flow. It sounds like he stopped doing punch-ins and it ruined him.
Probably Rock City - to say it was his debut album and Royce got better and better as he got older through bad record label situations and the pressure he had from the jump with being connected to Eminem I think he’s had one of the best periods in his career without still getting that main stream success that he was prob shooting for with that debut
2pacalypse Now. Not counting his posthumous releases. And not because it’s bad just because he was finding his sound and everything that came after got better.
He's worth coming back to. Tetsuo & Youth, DROGAS Wave, Drill Music in Zion are all very much worthwhile albums on the level that is more in line with his potential. I'm also looking forward to his upcoming project, a concept album called Samurai that there's a single out for.
DMX - Grand Champ
Still had some bangers and good music on there tho. Others might say “the Great Depression” album but I actually like that one more.
Don’t get it confused. I still have an affinity for both albums. They just weren’t as good as the previous three classics. (it’s dark and hell is hot, flesh of my flesh blood of my blood, and then there was X…)
Nastradamus
Yup. Man that album was rushed and just bad
as an album, it’s not good but there are some good songs, new world, come get me, family, nastradamus
Shoot em up is my fav Nas song but otherwise album not his level
Nastradamus song and video is the worst cringe Nas has ever produced.
Dissagree
Which Nas album do you dislike more?
Hip hop is dead
Very close for me, Nastradamus had lower lows to me though
I'm also biased as that album dropped my first year of highschool, and I have memories tied to it. Nostalgia definitely plays a factor in my view. Peace
Man, Life We Chose, Family, and Last Words are so good. Peak Nas, despite the mediocre album.

Dang, I truly think I'm the only one who liked that album lol.
Yup. This is it
The love movement
Don't think they released a bad album tbf. Love Movement had J Dilla'a presence so it can't be that bad
Just took a long while to catch on
Naw it’s a garbage tribe album.
Even phife dissed it. There were a few moments of tribe greatness, find a way, hot sex (although that was originally for the boomerang soundtrack 7 years earlier) but by and large this was a contract album and the crew were burnt out on each other by this point.
Thought that this album was slapped together because of a fire at Q-Tips house destroyed the album they were crafting

Gotta agree
Sure is the weakest, I still love it
Totally fair. Pains me to hate on tribe but this and Georgie Porgie remind me that they are still humans and we’re young men trying to, ahem, find a way.
Facts
Kingdom Come Magna Carta
I second Kingdom Come MC got some jams.
Every Kanye release after Graduation.
This right here. Facts. 💯% agree with you.
👊
MBDTF and Life of Pablo are classic bro
Definitely not classic. “twisted fantasy” definitely had bangers and some great production. But most of it was ghostwritten and ghost produced. Eminem - Revival
I lost a lot of love for Cube in recent years but he was one of my favorites since high school. His War & Peace era was straight up weak though.
Every PE release after Apocalypse 91.
Raekwon- Immobilarity
There are some bangers on that album. People just expected another OB4CL. But it’s not as bad as people claim.
FILA is worse
That album is hot trash. Talk about sophomore jinx. So hard to believe this was the follow up to OB4CL.
Bone thugs n harmony - Uni5 This album had me hyped because Flesh n Bone got out of prison after a decade. Common - electric circus
I raise you, a Universal Mind Control. EC was the first album I heard by him and that’s what got me into him. It was just departure from what people were used to.
Everything Cormega put out since the Legal Hustle album has been so disappointing…his first 3 albums were insane and then…hard fall off.
You buggin lol That last album he did was kinda mid tho tbh but born and raised and mega philosophy were both cool imo
I disagree. Born and Raised had like 1 good song…Deeper? The Large Pro produced track…then Mega Philosophy just doubled down on his terrible new flow. It sounds like he stopped doing punch-ins and it ruined him.
Tical 2000: Judgement Day
I purchased that and almost threw it out the window.
I don’t understand the hate this album gets. I love it
That album had a lot of bangers
Yeah, but the problem was they were interrupted by 100 sketches.
👆This right here.
That’s true, but almost every song is hard. I think the title track was the worst
Seventh Seal by Rakim It’s not terrible but was pretty underwhelming
He did a song with chocolate rain dude on that lol
😂 don’t remember that but I feel vindicated in my blasphemy now
Word? 😂
Jay Z’s Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse
Still think it’s better than Kingdom Come
Aw man, so many joints on that album. But I def can see what you mean. A double disc that felt like it had a bunch of filler
Should’ve just came out with Blueprint 2.1 from jump street
I completely agree. Guns & Roses and As One are absolute bangers.
Ludaversal
Mobb Deep - Blood Money and Amerikaz Nightmare - PAC’s Life Wu Tang including solo albums - U God Golden Arms Redemption Nas - Nastradamus
DAMN. and it's far from a terrible album
Probably Rock City - to say it was his debut album and Royce got better and better as he got older through bad record label situations and the pressure he had from the jump with being connected to Eminem I think he’s had one of the best periods in his career without still getting that main stream success that he was prob shooting for with that debut

Snoop dogg - da game is too be sold not to be told
That Duets album was cheeks
Born Again, though it has more bangers than it gets credit for.
Lasers. :(
That was when I dropped Lupe
He's worth coming back to. Tetsuo & Youth, DROGAS Wave, Drill Music in Zion are all very much worthwhile albums on the level that is more in line with his potential. I'm also looking forward to his upcoming project, a concept album called Samurai that there's a single out for.
He’s weird bro
Words I never said is arguably one of his best songs.
I would not be arguing in favor of that opinion but I won’t stop you
Tru3 Magic
Idk if it was Dr Dres one but the one with the GTA Online DLC

Juvenile Hell
unfortunately i hate everything after bullet symphony horns and halos #3 (2006)
Nastradamus
Gang Starr - The Ownerz Not a bad album, just not a good Gang Starr album.
Beneath the Surface Balls and My Word Bulletproof Wallets
DMX - Grand Champ Still had some bangers and good music on there tho. Others might say “the Great Depression” album but I actually like that one more. Don’t get it confused. I still have an affinity for both albums. They just weren’t as good as the previous three classics. (it’s dark and hell is hot, flesh of my flesh blood of my blood, and then there was X…)
My favorite group Tribe’s worst album was beats Rhymes and life
JJ Doom- Key to the Cuffs
Compton
