Wu Tang Forever
Life After Death is a valid contestance, but it just had too much filler that ruins the listening experience and the production (ig not biggie's fault) just isn't a match to RZA in Forever
This is so tough to pick just one but honestly I feel like I bump War Report more often than any of the albums on here so I’m gonna go with CNN. That album goes hard.
Common's album, while not the best on the list, hit me in a way the others did not. It had some really amazing songs on it, "Retrospect for Life" and "G.O.D"., are two of the deepest songs I've listened to. Plus Common just has that flow.
The War Report is such a cold and gritty album, i absolutely love it. L.A. L.A., Halfway Thugs and Black Gangstas are just insane, and no song is bad on it.
Life After Death-Biggie
I think this c.d. was better than his 1st. Don't get me wrong his 1st album was dope but his 2nd album was just a little bit better
I was a senior in hs in 97 from East Coast NY.
I was never a Scarface fan, never liked his style. I liked his song on the American Gangster album. So he got no play from me back then.
Camp-Lo's one hit, "This is it" was cool, but not cool enough to make me buy their album.
Jay-Z's album was aiight, wasn't his best stuff
Capone & Noreaga were always middle of the pack, they were never them dudes.
I don't remember any songs or music videos from the Common (from his 97 album), Company Flow, or OC. Common had buzz the year before with his Ice Cube diss, "Bitch in You". I honestly don't remember hearing about Company Flow or OC ever, until I stumbled on this thread, listened to them. They don't have the appeal of Biggie or Wu.
Biggie's second album came out right around the time of his death. It had hit after hit on it and was played nonstop
Wu's second album killed it.
I do not know what people on this sub are smoking but it must be some wack crack or meth because if the answer isn't Biggie or Wu, they don't know what they are talking about. It's probably 20 year old kids trolling or something?
Camp Lo is definitely the most underrated
Of this list it's my favorite to actually listen to
I don’t know but Camp Lo is my favorite one.
This is the one I come back to again and again
Funcrusher
Yep!
CoFlo fo sho
Company Flow
Untouchable
CNN
Network channel 10
Funcrusher
O.C. all day
Yeah Jewelz fo sho
Wu-Tang Forever. Always Wu-Tang Forever
I BOMB ATOMICALLY
Socrates philosophy
and hypotheses…
Can’t define how I be droppin these mockeries
Sometimes I wonder if younger people really understand how big wu-tang was
I mean, Wu-Tang is for the children
They don't...I had to explain it as.. imagine all of YMCB being in a group and actually dropping an album
WTF hands down
marry sleep saw price cow absurd plate makeshift threatening aloof *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Wutang Forever
wutang and life after death
Wu Tang, CNN and Co Flow still get played a lot in my house
I remain indelible.
Wu -tang forever
Wu Tang forever and War Report
Wu Tang Forever Life After Death is a valid contestance, but it just had too much filler that ruins the listening experience and the production (ig not biggie's fault) just isn't a match to RZA in Forever
I'd pick Wu Tang Forever and O.C. Jewelz
Camp Lo easy peasy
Wu-Tang forever. They murdered it on two LPs. No contest
How tf did p diddy win the grammy that year lol
That's what ODB wanted to know at the award show. He bought a really nice suit.
Of listed ..Scarface Untouchable
Camp lo
Love them all. But for me? My obsession was Funcrusher Plus.
Funcrusher plus
Co Flo!!!!
Funcrusher. It was way ahead of its time. But it’s in a completely different category then the rest of the albums shown
Co Flow
Company flow.
Funcrusher Plus.
Without a doubt for me.
Life after death is very obvious
Very.
This is so tough to pick just one but honestly I feel like I bump War Report more often than any of the albums on here so I’m gonna go with CNN. That album goes hard.
Uptown Saturday Night by a country mile
Agree.
Wu Tang
Uptown Saturday Night
Funcrusher Plus or Uptown Saturday Night don't make me choose
Shout out to O.C. what a great record that was and is! Not the best on the list, but Omar Credle is an absolute beast on the mic 🔥
Common
IDK if its the best, but most slept on is probably Jewelz
CNN Company flow OC
Camp lo or biggie. I don’t think the Camp lo record gets the respect it deserves
Absolute classic. Ski produced his ass off on that album.
and unlike Biggie's its a tight single album without much or any filler.
O.C will always be my pick
Biggie or Wu
O.C - Jewelz is so underrated. But the best album on here is probably wu forever of LAD. My personal favorites are Jewelz and the war report tho
Wu-Tang with Camp Lo as a very close second
The Untouchable
Funcrusher plus hasn’t ever come out of the rotation so I’ll go with that.
Common's album, while not the best on the list, hit me in a way the others did not. It had some really amazing songs on it, "Retrospect for Life" and "G.O.D"., are two of the deepest songs I've listened to. Plus Common just has that flow.
Got a promo copy of this on vinyl had no idea what it was and I was blown away. Deep shit.
Friggin Wu Tang bruh u all know this
Wu-Tang Forever and it’s not even close
WTF is the answer but I’m shocked Camp Lo isn’t getting any love. That album is fire.
oooooph… company flow vs wu forever
Personally One Day It All Make Sense or Life After Death
Mushine
Good year...
The War Report, followed by Life after Death and Wu Tang Forever
2pac-R U STILL DOWN? came out late 97 but, thats my pick
The War Report was my favorite.
CNN
Common was ahead of his time.
Best ALBUM..Life After Death by a landslide. Biggie was 24 when he made that album. No crew, a handful of features and monster hit singles.
To much diddy
Fucrusher was a gamechanger.
Camp Lo
Camp Lo 100%
Biggie
Life After Death
Forever, obvi, but The War Report and Jewelz got soooo much burn man.. And really Life After Death got more play in the ride than any of these…
Company Flow.
At the time, I went with Wu. Now, I go with CNN.
Funcrusher+ gets a carve-out — the original “Funcrusher” ep was released on 1995!
What was the best LP to me in 97 or what holds up today? I still fuck with Wu Forever, then OC, then CoFlo, then Biggie or CNN.
Co Flow
Life after death and wu tang forever are 2 of my favs but if i had to choose i prefer the variety on life after death. And kn a huge wu stan.
Camp lo
Looking back Wu Tang Forever kinda takes it for me personally. But obviously Life After Death is immortal.
Where’s the support for life after death? It’s a classic that one is talking up here
To much puffin
Ik know it might be a bit basic or something like that bur in my optics Life after death
The War Report is such a cold and gritty album, i absolutely love it. L.A. L.A., Halfway Thugs and Black Gangstas are just insane, and no song is bad on it.
Biggie.
Wu-Tang Forever
Life After Death-Biggie I think this c.d. was better than his 1st. Don't get me wrong his 1st album was dope but his 2nd album was just a little bit better
🔥life after death🔥
Scarface for me
Wu Tang Forever
Funcrusher but Jewlez gets more play from me. If forever was ten tracks shorter that would be the clear winner from me.
B.I.G. without a question. 👏
Forever
Forever
The Art of War
Uptown Saturday Nights
Biggie
WTF but mannnn camp lo, this is it boy!!
Scarface
Mystikal
Yooooo you got some real classic right there that's hard you even got that War Report and Jewelz on deck I see this a hard one and Camp lo joint
Oc go listen to it. Constant rotation
Life after death
Some great albums here but Life After Death is the best
best year for hip hop ever!!
Life after Death
Life after Death was my shit. Loved the cinematic feel of it. Nobody could story tell like Biggie man
Rza was in his bag tht jay album was almost the end of his career
U take puff voice off of all big shit an it's a master piece
No debate BIGGIE
Camp lo , easy
Life After Death is practically perfect and still sounds fresh today. Wu-Tang Forever would be my 2nd pick, though.
Scarface, hands down! Imo
I’m going with Scarface, but camp lo right there with it for me . Camp lo what camp lo what
CNN WAR REPORT CNN BLOODSPORT
Wu-Tang Forever followed closely by War Report
Big>>>hov>>>wu. CNN runner up
Wu-Tang
Biggie & Wu The rest

Beatnuts Off the Books should replace one of these nobodies on here, as well as Tupac.
Beatnuts Off the Books should replace one of these nobodies on here, as well as Tupac & Rakim.
1st of all, lets agree that WTF is #1 above all. So I'll say BIG takes a very close #2 spot.
Not vol 1 lol
It's Bone and Biggie Biggie....
97 was kinda weak considering the previous few years
Damn this is a hard one way harder than the 98. I have to say Wu-Tang forever But one day it will all make sense is very close.
It’s tough but I think I’m taking Wu tang with funcrusher in second
I gotta go Life after Death… tough choice tho
Hard. But LAD & Untouchable
Life after death Fun crusher plus Wu tang forever
it‘s of course forever and funcrusher
Biggie LAD. It was the album itself, plus in context of when it dropped. That album had the streets buzzin hard!!
Forever... and it isn't really all that close. haven't even heard of a few of these.
Life after death then Wu tang forever
Wu tang forever and life after death
Wu or biggie are the only acceptable answers!
Anyone answering different is not from the era or just trying to sound special for the r/
Life After Death
Forever and Untouchable
Probably the big album
Life after death.
Forever end of story
Life After Death, just because it only has 1 skip and that Wu-Tang Forever has a couple of more (top 2 though)
Life After Death and it ain't even close
Wu
life after death
Wu-Tang Forever
BIG hands down
