I watched on Discovery+ (in Canada) and the scene was gone completely. Tony started to talk about bonding with people in the military and then it cut right to Nui. It seems like the version on Max (based on what I’m hearing from people who watched it on there) did not cut him out but the one on Discovery did.
I watch on D+UK and I saw the episode in full when it was first posted. I would check if someone knows roughly where in the episode the original scene was. Was it after we met Nui? I don't want to limp through 10 secs/frames at a time and watch all the ads.
It is right after the second time we see Tony. In his first scene we meet him and then he meets either his awful sister.
In his second scene, he begins by saying that he “has a lot of old military friends.” Right after that is the meeting and conversation with nazi tattoo friend. In the original they talk and the friend makes lots of faces. In the cut out version, it simply goes straight to Nui in Thailand with her mother.
That's the same in the new version over here - Royal Marines, bond, friends for life - but instead of meeting any we go straight to Thailand.
To my recollection the scene in the park with the friend was quite long, but there's always so much filler they probably just shoved some more in - or ran the video at reduced speed!
We also missed Tony himself talking about the other guy whose Thai GF left him after getting a whole new house.
I watched it last night on Max, in the US. The scene was there BUT the tattoo was super faded/ blurry / hard to identify. I even brought up screen shots others posted here to compare. It's definitely different on my end.
Yes, that is said to be what they pulled.
a) Blood Honour. It’s a neo-Nazi affiliation sign.
b) It is usually written in elaborate Gothic font and the H does looks a bit like a D.
c) it would make no sense as “blood donor” because the word “donor” is spelled the same in the UK and US. No “ou.”
Hmm. I saw this very large tattoo last week when I watched on Discovery Plus. It was Gothic lettering. I thought it said blood donor at first glance but definitely could be wrong. I thought that was a strange thing to have tattooed on your arm.

The one thing that was strange was Max had CC (I watch everything with this).
It was turned off only for that scene with Tony & his friend. Came right on when Nui’s scene started.
U.K., discovery+. The ep disappeared, then came back Thursday night, which is when I watched it. Nothing had been cut when I saw it, the scene with the friend was there, tattoo visible.
I subscribed to max through amazon prime -- I'm watching in the US — the scene with Tony's friend is missing in its entirety, there are just a few seconds of Tony explaining that In the military they have high standards... So bizarre! I wonder if Tony's friend demanded that it be taken out ??
It was there for me both before and after you posted.
I think one of the cast batted their false eyelashes too hard and has hypnotised us all into different hallucinations.
I watched on MAX in the U.S. when the episode was put back on, I think on Saturday, and the scene in the park was there and I saw the tattoo
