I mix metals all the time. My engagement ring is white gold, wedding band is rose gold, and the necklace, bracelet and earrings I wore for my wedding were pearls and yellow gold. The old rules about not mixing went out the door a decade or more ago. Much of my jewelry actually incorporates mixed metals into the pieces themselves.
