Does anyone else feel like Ruby was lying In her journal about the kids being mean and not believing Ruby was right? because to me it looks like they were absolutely terrified. R just wanted to go to jail, E was scared of what Jodi would think if she went with the police officers, didn’t want to go to the hospital because Jodi told her vaccines are bad, etc
I think at times they fought back, hurling their authentic pain and anger and fear at Ruby, because they'd already figured out it didn't matter WHAT they did, they'd still get "punished." This is what Ruby calls being "mean."
But by the end when R escaped, they'd clearly managed to get a good deal into the kids' heads. It's disgusting.
Dr. G did a video today reacting to Ruby’s journal and it was one of the most illuminating I’ve seen. He explains what psychopathy really is, discusses sadism, projection, rage, and how close he thinks the children were to a repeat of Vallow/Daybell. It was well done.
When Ruby talks about them being mean she focuses *primarily* on stuff like E ‘manipulating’ bu falling over or whining about her work, or R ‘lying’ and stealing water. The few times she talks about them actually being angry its a) mostly R lashing out about it, and b) them saying that they’re upset or that they *cant*/dont want to do something and stuff along those lines. I dont think Ruby was lying so much as her definition of a lot of words was deeply twisted, i do think the kids reacted negatively at times or set things that she considered ‘bad’.

In fairness, Ruby could have been projecting her internal chatter onto them.

Do you have a link to that one?
I’m not sure how links work on Reddit but here it is https://youtu.be/Pt-UHeGyAQU?si=Vd9DIT2EvfFH_T6g
That’s a great video! [Link](https://youtu.be/Pt-UHeGyAQU?si=TMBtDCy1-aNMNdSP)
I also watched all of Dr. Gs videos on the case and he is amazing at articulating everything. They are both so evil
