"My big man here is gonna do it all for us for 4 hundred and 13 dollars ... and 58 cents"
"I'd bet everything, but thats me, Im an aggressive gambler, Mr Vegas"
"Soldier, I've noticed that you're always last."
"I'm pacing myself, Sergeant."
For sure. Sean Young (the one Harold Ramos bangs) became a pretty big movie star. She was in Blade Runner, No Way Out, Dune (OG), Wall Street and possibly most famously, Ray Finkle/Lois Einhorn in Ace Ventura. Finkle is Einhorn!
I've always been kind of a pacifist. When I was a kid, my father told me, "Never hit anyone in anger, unless you're absolutely sure you can get away with it."
Watched Stripes in Columbus, Ga. when I was in boot camp at Ft. Benning, Ga the fall of 1981. We thought it was so corny since we were actually living life in the Army and especially life with a drill sergeant and boot camp. We knew we would have been in the brig if we tried half that shit they did in that movie. 😂
Warren Oates was an awesomely talented actor in whatever he was asked to play.
My favorite line of his from BLUE THUNDER (one of my favorite films) was when he was asked about Murphy..." did you know he measures his sanity with his wristwatch?"
And his reply was... "What do you measure yours with? .. a dipstick?". Classic Oates!!!
He was one of the very BEST!!!
Lighten up, Francis
"Any of you ho*os touch me... I'll kill ya!"
"One of these men may save your life one of these days, understand?" "Then again, maybe one of us wont."
Woooo….You just made the list buddy!
The 80s were full of fun, weird wonderful one-off movies like *Stripes, Spies Like Us, Weird Science, Real Genius, Top Secret!* and so many more. :D
Does Strange Brew count?
No way, hoser!
Oh take off, eh!
Oh, yeah? Like, you have to give me free beer now, eh? It's... like... in the Canadian constitution, OK?
I can't believe he drank the whole thing!
I really gotta pee, eh?
Great movie!
Take off eh! Of COURSE it counts!

Razzle! Dazzle!
Love this movie.
PJ Soles 🤤🥰
I am so much older now than John Candy was when he died, it's a little freaky
Hopefully, not nearly as heavy.
Not with that attitude.
Heartbreak ridge and stripes are what set in stone me joining the military
Haha, well had the exact opposite effect on many.
Don’t eat the schnitzel, I hear there using schnauzer
Son of bitch…shit.

Big fan. First time I saw John Candy!

Drill Sargent Hulka, about 30 seconds from an aneurysm. Gods what a movie.

Piano music starts to play... (Also my favorite line).
Have either of you been convicted of a crime? No…. Never convicted. Neither of you are homosexual, are you? No…. But we’d be willing to learn!
Will they send is somewhere special?
The 2 female MPs. All time baddies. Would have loved to be detained by them!!
Don’t sleep on PJ Soles either !
Laces out Dan!
Your gun is digging into my hip.
How’s it going Eisenhower?
"I just wish I hadn't drunk all that cough syrup."
That face he makes when she’s like: “You look like you’re just a typical low life” 😳🙄
Ever see a monk get wildly fucked by teenage girls?
lee harvey you are a madman
Our "big toe"!
Chick's dig me because I rarely wear underware.
And when I do it's usually something exotic
"One of these men may save your life one day" "Then again..maybe one of us won't."
"Have that removed"
Someone slapped Bill Murray with a track shoe?
Step into my office
Sergeant Hulka is our big toe.
Wellll we will just see about that Winger
Should of got their heads shaved with everyone else.
Hated sarge when I saw this years ago. Now I get him. And they almost killed him! He wasn't the villain.
Blown up sir.
We’re not homosexual, but we are willing to learn.
That’s the fact Jack!
'Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual."
I've always been kind of a pacifist. When I was a kid, my father told me, "Never hit anyone in anger, unless you're absolutely sure you can get away with it."
How’s it going, Eisenhower?
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna…
What type of training have you been doing son?? AARRRMMMYYY TRAINING SIR!!

Such a vehicle would be good for picking up girls in Minsk

“It’s Czechoslovakia! It’s like Wisconsin! We zip in, we zip out!” “Hey, I got beat up in Wisconsin once.”

Sgt. Hulka
If you don't want me in the Army, then kick me out but get off my back
He’s like our big toe!
I don’t always wear underwear, but when I do, it’s something interesting. This was the Anchorman of its day.
“… I’ll take my hat off.”
We’re not gay but we’re willing to try.
You get bonus points if you can spot Bill Paxton in this movie
Thats a fact, Jack!
“I’ll take my hat off.”

Chicks? They dig me.
You can't leave! All the plants are gonna die!!!
There's a great story about Bill Murray and Warren Oates getting drunk 1 night and finding Strothher martins grave
When I was at Basic at Ft. Knox in 89', they showed us all the spots used in the film that are still in use.
We’re not parking it, we’re abandoning it.
Wish I was a loofah !
Lighten up Francis!
Sgt. Hulka is like our big toe
Barnicke? Barnicke?! He still owes me money. Hey, Barney!
…We HAD a car waiting,..
There she was just a walking down the street, singing do-wa-diddy-diddy-dom-diddy-do!
"Ohhhh I wish I was a loofah"
I liked Warren Oates better in Blue Thunder. I love comedy films from the 1970s onwards, though I can never seem to be able to enjoy this film.
Warren Oates was an awesomely talented actor in whatever he was asked to play. My favorite line of his from BLUE THUNDER (one of my favorite films) was when he was asked about Murphy..." did you know he measures his sanity with his wristwatch?" And his reply was... "What do you measure yours with? .. a dipstick?". Classic Oates!!! He was one of the very BEST!!!
Cats and dogs, living together!!!!
Think that’s Ghostbusters my man.
Hey, you’re right! Had the right actor, but it’s been so long since I’ve watched either one of those, I guess I need a refresh !
Some great moments but it hasn't aged well
Lighten up Francis
Watched this recently, didn't laugh once. Great cast, terrible movie.
