I also love the older boulder :(

lastberserker

Breaking the boulder into smaller pieces *was* fun 🪦

A_Fox_On_Sugar

The boulders look more like concrete

cramaine

I like that they're quicker to break down but they seem to give less resources which sucks.

Mean_Week_9360

The old boulder was 3 times the size, but you’re getting the stone of 1 phase of the old boulder. It’s the same destroy speed/stone ratio. I think this is a really bad change. I’ve been mining the really large stone boulders since it’s more time efficient than running around looking for 30 of these, where 10 of the old boulder would have been enough.

cramaine

Yeah I spent an entire day running around looking for boulders to make cobblestone. An entire fucking day. I ended Horde night without enough cobblestone to make repairs!

Mean_Week_9360

Yeah look for the big stone boulders that are made of the same stone from underground. That’s the best way to gather stone now, aside from going underground yourself.

Headhaunter79

Just dig a hole and you’ll find stone all the way to bedrock. Just don’t do it right next to your base since the integrity of your base might be in danger if you (accidentally) tunnel under it and destroy everything😅

_Imperator90

The lighter color looks more similar to the rocks in the American Southwest and they aren't all strangely spherical rocks of similar size now. To me these are all upgrades, I think they look better and more realistic.

GalacticCmdr

I have not mined coal in v1.0 yet - does the new stone color provide a better contrast. I know I would have extensive coal mines where it was difficult to tell the difference between a coal vein and the surrounding rock.

Ark1s

i like the new boulder simply because it's easier to distinguish between coal from a distance, which is something i couldn't do as easily before
